A poor roof design that directs water from our garage roof into the side of our house has long been a source of water leak problems. Over the years there have been numerous attempts to identify and fix the problem. I joined Angie?s List to select two more sources for bids in addition to the one I intended to contact that was highly recommended in an annual community recommended vendor list publication. Pond Roofing was one of the Angie?s list companies. All three companies came out to inspect and estimate the job. All three were punctual, professional and courteous; however, the Pond Roofing estimator (Shanti Smith) stood out at that point because of the thoroughness of his inspection, the detailed explanation of his observations (including a penciled drawing he had prepared to assist in his later estimating calculations), and patience in answering my questions. All three companies collected the information they would need to estimate the job and were to provide the estimate within a few days of their visit. Each of the other companies called to say that they were not going to provide a bid because of concerns about the roof design. Since I was already leaning toward Pond, I was not too concerned but my husband had not been at the initial meeting and needed to be comfortable that their approach would not be yet another unsuccessful attempt to fix our long standing problem especially since the other two companies were declining to even estimate. I contacted Shanti Smith and asked if he would come back to explain their solution to my husband. I did not tell him that the other companies were declining to bid. He came back out (at the scheduled time), and patiently answered all our questions. Once we signed the contract, the job was scheduled. It was started and completed on schedule, the final price was slightly higher to cover some rotten wood (consistent with the terms of the contract), the work site was kept clean, the work crews were knowledgeable, professional and courteous and the house looks awesome! The work involved removing siding from one side of the house and the back of the garage, removing part of the roofing on the garage and an ?old fix? to the water problem, installing an EPDM roofing membrane, replacing the removed roofing and siding (matching to 25 year old siding that would remain on the rest of the house), replacing a small ineffective gutter with a larger custom-made ?scupper? and replacing cladding, vents & miscellaneous other items. Since the job was completed, we have had various heavy weather conditions but no leaks! While I am confident that our leak problem has finally been solved, I am comforted by the fact that Pond Roofing has been in business since 1964, has an excellent (well deserved) reputation, and will be in business should they need to honor their product/labor warranty. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Pond Roofing for any of your siding, roofing or gutter needs.

They were good about sending someone to do an estimate. Before they came I received an email with a picture of who to expect for the estimate and the time he would be at my home. I called to tell them I wanted the work done and they said it would be a couple weeks because they were busy and someone would call me to let me know. When they came to do the work they cleaned up after themselves and took pictures of the repairs they had made. They sent me a letter afterwards that they valued and appreciated my business and would be available for any future questions or concerns. That made me feel like I was in good hands.

I ended up did not use their service because the quote they gave me was twice of its competitors!

They did a very good job. They were very thorough and they came back to double checked things and repaired some minor problems without us even calling them.

Ponds came on time, were professional, and cleaned up after themselves. We did have a skylight leak afterwards and we had to call them back. They offered to fix it of course but also offered an alternative, since we had a problem with their work: they would put in 2 new skylights without a labor charge if we would purchase the skylights. We thought this was a great alternative so this is what we did.

Pond roofing came by and gave me an estimate on a whole-roof replacement. Of the many companies that came out, Pond was the only one who actually brought a ladder and went up onto the roof. The prices were fair and competitive, however I did end up going with a different company ultimately. I was very comfortable with Pond and thought that their approach was very helpful and professional.

They told me it was not necessary to replace the entire roof and told me when that might need to happen. They did good work and I have recommended them to several people. I have called them out again for a more recent estimate. I trust them enough to ask for a recommendation for a waterproof specialist.

They were professional, prompt and neat. A contact person came by ahead of time and a week after the job to inspect it and make sure we were satisfied. When we had a problem with the new air vent, they came out to fix it promptly and efficiently. They were excellent to work with with. They encouraged us to call with any other questions. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

Very professional and provided bid slightly higher than, but close to average of other four candidates for our job. Their representative was excellent to deal with. They were a little slower to send someone out than others I contacted, but that may just speak to their success in having a backlog. Pond is a firm worthy of your consideration for a roofing project.

They were very efficient. They cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks fantastic. The price was reasonable, as well. Patrick was very helpful and followed up to see if it was done well. They gave a warranty for the work, which I appreciated.

They have done a lot of work for us over the years. What I like about them is they don’t leave a mess and the roof gets fixed. When we first started noticing that we needed to replace titles on the roof, we got estimates. Pond was around the middle range in pricing, but they were the most responsive company. I am always very pleased with how professional they are.

We have asphalt shingles. They are supposed to be getting here within 6 weeks. It should be done by the middle of November. No problems at all scheduling for them to come out for the estimate. They were here on time.

It was great! They seemed quick and efficient. The guy who came out to look at it was great. He was professional and a no-nonsense individual. No problems with the roof since the repairs. The only issue was that they seemed to be rather popular so you have to patient.

It turned out great. They did the shingles in one day and they did the gutter system in another day. It was two different crews who came. They were efficient. They got right down to work and they go it done without glitches! The shingles and vent fan were about $10,000 and the gutter system was about $3,000. I was so impressed with their presentation that I didn’t get any other quotes so I can’t tell you how the prices compare. To me, the quality was worth the price.

They were here all day. They were very thorough. They have a good attention to detail. It did take a long time from the time we called them for them to actually come and do the work, but the roof hasn’t leaked since.

After we got over the scheduling problem, they did a fine job. They came immediately and took a deposit but weeks passed before they came to actually repair our badly leaking roof. They did come and do an emergency stopgap covering when we called about the continuing leakage. Eventually they came and did the necessary repair work. The work was done well and the price was fair.

We received quotes from three different vendors, they were in the middle (the highest was a tiny bit higher, the lowest was about 1/3 of the price, but that kind of worried us). The color matched the siding pieces perfect, you would not even know they had not been there all along. As stated, they completed the work in one day. They were very friendly and cleaned up well. The workers that came out to fix the siding were all about the work, never once discussed a bill (we have had this issue with carpet installers asking about payment before they were even 100% finished). The bill came a couple weeks later after we had time to ensure all was well with the repairs. Would highly recommend them for use.

He told me I needed to get rid of my vent. He was very professional and had a big packet of information. They had a long waiting list so it would have been about four weeks before they could get out here, and their prices were on the higher end. He did say that I don't have FRD plywood (another service provider had said that I had FRD plywood and that it needs to be replaced). I told him that the last guy said all my plywood needed to be replaced and wouldn't even send anybody up there without replacing all the plywood because he thought it was dangerous. This guy said that was not true and that everything seems fine. He said that I might need to replace one or two pieces of plywood but that was all. And he actually went up to my roof and went in to my attic and looked at things. So, he was thorough, he seemed to know his stuff, he's been in the business for a long time, and he is somebody that I would find pretty reliable and would possibly use. I would probably have used him had I not stumbled upon the last guy which was a referral from a friend of mine.

Everyone I dealt with at Pond was professional and courteous. They called when they said they'd call, showed up when they said they would, and did the work they promised. Any questions I had were answered promptly and thoroughly, either by phone or via email. Product-by-product, their prices were comparable with the lowest quote I received; I went with Pond because they offer a roof venting system (vs. attic fans). When Patrick came out to give me a quote, it was informative and friendly (no hard-sell or hours-long "presentation') and he allowed ample time to receive competitive quotes. The roof installation went smoothly and the final product is perfect. I highly recommend Pond.

Our roof needed to be replaced (it had been re-shingled previously so two layers needed to be removed). In addition, the siding between the two roof elevations had to be replaced and than painted to match the house siding. The coping between our townhouse and the one next door also needed painting. We also wanted to make sure the attic was properly vented - some of the soffits were blocked. We were looking for a company that would be able to do all of the work. We chose Pond because they were thorough, professional, extremely responsive to all of our questions. They didn't use scare tactics and try to sell us more than we needed. Several weeks after the initial inspection, we called their estimator, Shanti Smith, with a question regarding an issue in the attic. Since some time had elapsed, he came back out that very afternoon, to reinspect and answer our question! With all the wet weather we've been having, we thought the job would be severely delayed from the original time line, but they scheduled it quicker than we anticipated. The crews showed up in a timely fashion, did their jobs, kept us informed during the process, and cleaned up very well. We did have a big rain after it was done and we noticed a problem around one gutter area. Sent Shanti an email that evening and he was out the next afternoon to check it out and fix it. Could not have been more responsive! Would definitely recommend them.

Found them to be easy to work with, there were no hidden cost, final price came out to be same as quoted estimate. The team arrived on time, all were very professional. They did good job of covering bushes, plants, & shrubs. They did great job of cleaning up afterwards. I would use and recommend them in the future.

Pond Roofing was very knowledgeable and competent from bidding through completion of the job. The project manager came by the site frequently to see how the work was progressing. Each team (roofing, siding, gutters) was highly skilled. The house looks beautiful and I would recommend Pond without reservation for any home. l y

Everything went well with the exception of some workers taking it upon themselves to smoke during the installation of the roof. Hopefully that's not the case today.

We had a bad experience with another contractor who caused a major leakage problems with the second floor deck. So we brought them in to review the work of the other contractor and their president came out Patrick and walked around and said, "OK here's what we're going to do." They're really conscientious, they show up when they said they would how up, the work took exactly as long as they said it would take and there were a couple of instances where we weren't sure what was underneath the roof and so he gave us two separate estimates. He said, "Here's your best case scenario and here's your worst case scenario." They were really flexible, really helpful and a really great set of people who knew what they were doing.
