Pond did great work. They were quick and efficient, did not damage the existing patio on which they were working. The downspout looks great and the tie-in to the existing drainage looks much neater and more professional than the original provided by a different contractor. And most importantly, their suggested fix solved the problem of our gutter overflowing and dripping down the side of the house.

Initial contact, proposal and scheduling worked out well. The workers came on schedule and did their job. As we cannot climb on the roof, it is hard to say anything about the quality of the work but since it lasted about a year now I assume it was done well. New shingles contrast in color with the old ones, we were told about hat before but my sense is that it would have been possible to find a better match among the currently offered colors. We asked for some pictures to be taken before and after so that we can see what was really done. They promised us to do that but we never received the pictures.

roof What REALLY IMPRESSED me was that he commented on a Cable TV dish, which I'd asked him to look at. It has been on the roof for a number of years and is not used. He said that he could remove it, which would improve the cosmetics, but would need to leave the base in place, as removing it would damage shingles and that the damaged shingles would have to be replaced and wouldn't match. We'd recently had the house power washed and the person who did that had recommended a service for the roof (which he would have done at the time for an additional charge, of course) and which I declined. Mr. Smith said that the service in question wasn't needed. He removed the dish at no charge. In short, it was sort of the Golden Rule in action. He couldn't have been nicer or more professional, and he may be the best service representative in any industry that I've ever encountered. By his actions, he guaranteed that we will always turn to Pond Roofing.

Workers came as scheduled, work went smoothly as far as I could tell. The only glitch was delivering the shingles and other supplies - Truck driver had lots of anxiety about not being able to park because of cars. But, eventually they went ahead and used the crane to put the stuff on the roof. I was concerned that the new drain pipe might interfere with the sump pump drainage, but everything seems to be draining properly. The cleanup was incredible...

Everything went smoothly. First contact with the company was at Prosperity Avenue office and it could not have gone better. The crew arrived timely each of the four days they performed the work and stayed late. In addition, they came back on several occasions for minor job completion details. The owner visited at the start of the work, and came by and inspected the work to ensure our satisfaction upon completion. The windows themselves are excellent. Our house is quiet now and we have to open the windows to hear noise outside (except for very heavy rain). The house is cooler and I am quite pleased that there will no longer be any fading of our furniture/rugs. Finally, the windows and doors came with a "Lifetime Non-prorated Transferable" warranty. I have dealt with Pond Roofing before and recommended the company to others. I have always been totally satisfied with their work, both the quality of the products and the meticulous workmanship. They have always been extremely careful not to mar or in any way harm any property or shrubbery, and they clean up all detritus. They are polite and give meaning to the word "professional." I will definitely use Pond again.

I called to get an appointment for a repair, and I did not get the super helpful response many people have posted about. My roof has sprung a significant leak over the last few rains, causing damage to my ceiling and walls. A co-worker recommended this company, and the reviews were really great so I called them to make an appointment. I explained that the leak was pretty significant and causing a lot of damage to the ceiling and wall. The woman I spoke to was very nice. The next appointments she had were about a week away, and I am out of town for work. I asked for an appointment as soon as possible the following week, but before we actually discussed what days she had available, she said that they were booking 8-10 weeks out for the work appointments. This appointment we were making would only be an estimate/consult appointment. After so many reviews about how they fixed things on the spot, I asked if they would maybe take care of it at the first appointment if it were a smaller repair. She said no, due to the weather and the increase in calls, they were not able to do that. The repairs would have to wait another 8-10 weeks. Ugh. I understand that they are very busy but 3 months to get a leak fixed is just kind of silly. I reiterated that it was a gusher of a leak and was causing damage, and asked if someone could tell me what to look for so I could at least try to stop the leak until someone could come out. She said that I could ask the tech when they came for the initial appointment (2 weeks away).... ? I also understand that for them, its just one more leaky roof out of a whole bunch of others, but for me, it is MY leaking roof and kind of important. I got the feeling that my leaky roof and melting ceiling or ballooning walls weren't much of a concern at all. I was a warm body and an appointment on a calendar and thank you have a nice day. I have since called three other companies, all rated equally as well, and all were willing to squeeze me in because of the interior damage. All three were more than happy to have a tech call me to talk about things to look for myself. Fortunately I won't need to because someone is coming tomorrow. 3 months or one day. Which would you choose?

In the 38 years that I have lived in Falls Church, this was one of the best home repairs that I have experienced. My goodness, I wish all contractors were like Pond. The estimator was a real professional and spent considerable time reviewing with me the nature of the work to be done, selection of shingles, and recommendations for a new skylight. The estimate was within a few dollars of what I had researched so no big surprise there. And though I had not expected it, I welcomed the extensive check list of things I should do in preparation for the roofing work. The work teams and supplies arrived promptly and I was impressed with their preparation of the areas around the house and the speed with which they worked. They were also quite friendly. My son,who has been a contractor, said they were one of the best group of workers he has seen. Clean-up afterward would have satisfied my First Sergeant. No shingle scraps, no nails, no trace. The new roof is on and it looks splendid and the neighbors have commented on how much it adds to the house. In my book, If you need a new roof, Pond is the place to go!

Two years ago we had Pond replace our siding. We were very happy with their products and services. However, what I find even more exceptional about them, is their follow up service. The same year we had the siding replaced, we also had new roof put on by another contractor. After about a year , we noticed we had a leak on our deck roof. We called our roofing contractor who came out and said it was a siding issue. I called Pond, Patrick came out and said he didn't think it was a siding issue but he would bring out his roofer just to confirm that fact. He brought out his roofing person, who in fact, confirmed it was a roofing issue. He showed me pictures of the issue just to show me it wasn't their issue. To save me the trouble of calling my roofing contractor back, he just has his roofing person fix it on the spot. While his roofing person was fixing that issue, he notice a piece of cracked siding that we had damaged moving our grill. While he was waiting for his roofer, he replaced the piece of broken siding for us. Patrick and his roofer we at our home for about 30-45 minutes. They charged us nothing! You don't find customer service like that anymore.

I've been using them since mid 70's, they're wonderful company. Since I've been using them for how many years now, they're reliable, they're very good in what they do, they're very honest. I think they're a little bit pricey but I'm not sure.

I called a couple roofing companies because we had some water damage in our upstairs ceiling after some heavy rains. Everyone - including Pond Roofing - was booked out for weeks, but I was lucky enough to speak with the owner Patrick, who squeezed me in one morning for what was supposed to be just an estimate. He arrived a little late, but notified me to let me know (and he gave me an appointment TIME, not a window, so I was fine with that). He did a thorough check in our attic and up on the roof, and told me exactly what was going on, which was thankfully not as major as we had feared. In fact, he patched and caulked a couple areas to fix the problem, and stomped around checking the rest of the roof while he was up there. And he didn't charge me anything! (I had to pay another company - which wasn't even a roofing company, but instead a fix-it man - $29 just to come out and give me an estimate, and that guy didn't even go into the attic or up on the roof to really inspect anything.) I will definitely use Pond Roofing in the future, and have already recommended them to a friend.

Pond Roofing was first-rate in every way. When Shanti came to give me an estimate, he explained everything and even temporarily patched the hole in my roof. He followed up promptly after i signed the contract to discuss the various choices, and made sure i understood what they would be doing. When the actual work was performed, the roofing crews were prompt, professional, and courteous and cleaned everything thoroughly. The same was true of the crew that replaced my gutters. These guys are just terrific!

When scheduling an appointment for an estimator, none were available. No problem - the company President (Patrick Readyhough) came out to do the estimate! Of all the bids, he was the only one to look in the attic for signs of problems with the sub-roofing. He is also the only one who walked my roof to assess the job. Professional presentation - price not the lowest but roofing is their core business. Once we decided to go with them, we received all the paperwork via pdf - it was easy to move forward with Pond Roofing. Crew arrived on schedule and left no trace with a impressive cleanup. Again the President followed up with us and inspected the job. If you need your roof replaced I'd totally recommend these professionals.

They were very professional throughout, did quality work, finished entire roof in two days, spread tarps to protect bushes, cleaned up well taking all old roof material away. They cared about the job they did!

Provider did a very good job. The evaluation of our issue (small roof leak) was done quickly and the representative offered to do a quick patch job given that the actual work couldn't be scheduled for at least a month. He came and repaired it while I was at work, left his card. I later learned he did it on his own dime! Company was responsive, professional, and had overall good customer service. Would hire them again.

Work was rescheduled a couple times but the workers arrived on the day of installation and did a good job. Problem is that when it rains, uneven installation of the gutter guards on the top gutter means water concentrates in the middle of the gutter guard and forms large drops of water which strike the lower gutter guard, making a loud tapping sound even after it rains.

Work was fine, but I was inconvenienced by avoidable things: -Failure to call me before arrival on site (happened 2, maybe 3 times) to which we had both agreed; and, -The estimator (because he failed to call me before arrival) got the scope wrong and under-estimated the cost. When the workmen arrived, I discovered this in a drawing I hadn't seen before; and, -I was called after the work had been completed because the invoice had been returned. Turns out they sent it to the wrong address. I mention these because it concretizes the complaint, and underscores the importance of the little things. They're good at their work, if maybe a little pricey; but they would do well to pay a little more attention to the details, especially in customer communication.

The estimator was prompt, courteous, and thorough. He provided two different options for the work, and supplied an estimate within one working day. We are going with another contractor for price reasons, but will definitely reach out to Pond again if we need future roof work.

Very well; gave excellent written material, was on time for appointment and left a sample of shingle to be used. I decided to go with another company for other reasons. I would use this company in the future.

The person came in and said they would come back. They came back to do a proposal and left it on my door. The work they said they would do was very honest. The price was average but didn't think it was a good price. But a friend ended up doing it for less. I would call them when I need my roof done.

Arrived on time, full crew, worked very hard, did a great job!
