I called Pond Roofing to evaluate the condition of flat portion of my roof and my two skylights after I had water damage in the winter of 2013/2014. Steve Juntilla came out to my home to evaluate the condition of the flat roof and my skylights and to look at where it joined with my sloped roofing. During the initial visit, he took measurements and informed me that he could not give me a thorough understanding of the roof's condition or repairs needed until the snow and ice melted and came off the roof. I appreciated his honesty and decided to have him back (several others gave me repair estimates with the snow and ice still in place). On his return, Steve did a very thorough inspection of my roof and walked me through all aspects of it, answering all of my questions. Several other contractors suggested that a temporary repair could be made that might last a couple of years, but which would save me a lot of money. Steve, on the other hand, told me that they could not recommend that type of repair because there would be no way to warranty that work and no way to be sure it wouldn't fail and leak again, possibly as early as next winter. Again, this was a very honest assessment of the situation and it left me the option to chose a cheaper, temporary fix with another contractor or to get my roof truly repaired. Steve wrote up an estimate to replace the flat section of my roof and join it with the sloped portion of my roof and reset my skylights as well as repair any roof decking damage and to fix my gutters and soffits. He recommended an EPDM rubber membrane for that area which they would warranty against leaks and damage for a number of years post repair. The cost to do this, even for a relatively small roof area was not cheap, but to me, it made sense to repair it once and then repair the interior damage, rather than risk multiple leaks and repairs which would quickly cost more than just properly repairing the roof. I had three other contractors give me estimates to do a similar job and Pond came in at or lower than the other estimates. I scheduled my job, and on the day of the job, Min and his team of pros showed up at my home and walked me through their plans. During the job, and as stated in the contract, it was discovered that the damage to the roof decking was far more significant than I originally thought or could be seen from the roof exterior. The team brought all needed materials with them and showed me the damage first before doing any further repairs. Without a hitch, they not only replaced the damaged roof decking, but improved the roof insulation and grade so that the roof would properly drain. They installed the EPDM rubber (thicker than others quoted) on the roof. I asked the crew if they could repair damage in other areas of my soffit on the day of the job, and they did that at a very minimal additional cost, which was great! They reset my gutters and corrected problems with the drip guard that had previously been put in when the existing roof was installed. They joined the flat roof with my existing roof and nearly perfectly matched the shingles. They built up the decking on my skylights and reinstalled them with new seals. The crew did an exceptional job on the entire install. They did a great job cleaning up the job site and my deck and yard after rip out and install. I have now had the roof installed for over a year and I couldn't be happier. I had one instance where I thought I might have a leak problem, and Pond sent someone out on a weekend to take a look for me at no cost. It turned out there was no problem, but it was great to know that they really do have my back after the job is done. I am very pleased with Pond Roofing from the front office staff to the people in the field, they are true professionals who stand behind their work. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. They may not be the cheapest in all respects, but their honesty and accuracy and giving me good advice more than made up for any marginal difference in quoted price. Their warranty was also head and shoulders above anyone else on a flat roof.

Pond's came in and were very professional from start to finish. They even replaced damage wood at no additional cost! They installed the gutters, matched the paint and left no trace of that they were ever there. The gutter guards were installed as well. I am very pleased of the work and recommend Pond's to anyone. I only wish they installed the roof as well!

WOW, TOTALLY SATISFIED ! 10 out of 10 ! We needed new RIDGE ROOF CAPS because the last person was so incompetent! Felipe was the foreman today on our job and I can not say enough HOW GREAT A JOB he and Ernesto DID ! Thank you gentlemen and Thank you POND ROOFING! WONDERFUL JOB ! They came out first for a free estimate and did exactly what they said they would do!

Mickey, the estimator, arrived on time; he took time to explain the products and procedure for re-siding our house. He also explained that it would take approximately 6 weeks for work to begin (actually took 7 weeks). The siding was dropped off at 7:00 AM and the crew was ready to begin work shortly afterwards. Everything went smoothly until the following day (Thursday) when they accidentally disconnected our cable in the process of removing the cable box for re-siding underneath. The crew left without a word...the television just stopped, the phone was dead, no internet. We called Patrick Readyhough on our cell phone and he came over right away but the cable could not be fixed. We called Verizon and were told it would be serviced on an emergency basis but the next day we were advised that it would be 3 days before it would be fixed...ultimately took 5 days but that's another story and another review of Verizon. Patrick was in constant touch with us. He said Pond would pay for the Verizon service call and even brought over a jet pack from his company on Saturday morning so I could again use the Internet on my iPad. He was trying his best to make the situation as good as it could be...I was very impressed plus I could now stay in contact with him by email. He checked to see how we were doing and was of course very apologetic. Work continued but, alas, the siding ran out before the job was finished. They arranged for another 2 packages to be delivered and returned on Saturday to finish the job. Unfortunately the color of siding that was delivered was not a match so the work was delayed until Monday when new siding was delivered. The shutters were installed and the house looks wonderful. Patrick even came over himself to add the screens to the windows which had been installed prior to the siding job but were left off so they wouldn't be damaged. He and his employees were all very pleasant to work with. I do recommend this company in spite of the accident. We have used them before and always been pleased with the work, craftsmanship and quality of materials. My only slight disappointment was that the price we paid was not adjusted at all for our inconvenience (5 days without cable!) but it is a business and we had contracted for service. I would totally recommend them and in fact am already using them for a job on our rental house.

Our estimator, Mickey, was on time and answered all of our questions. I have to say I was torn between giving an A or B for the price...it was not inexpensive but the windows are of top quality and there was a lot of work involved since we replaced the frames as well as the windows. This was a part of a complete siding project so it was important that the windows be done on time since the siding crew was scheduled two days later. Terry and his crew were the window guys and they were excellent, on time, fine craftsmanship, good problem-solving skills. They moved furniture to gain access to the windows and said they would remove the window treatments although we had already done that. They also worked with us on scheduling when each window was done so that we could shift our cats around to keep them inside. They worked long days and cleaned up thoroughly. All 3 of them are superb assets to Pond Roofing....definitely recommend them!

We discovered a long existing, slow leak in our garage roof into a void area caused by the original builder 10 years ago. The shingles had to be taken off and the plywood replaced as it had deteriorated badly. The Pond crew of two took the whole area apart, replaced the plywood, and recovered the area. They were very concientious about full leak proof covering including replacing flashing and match the existing shingles perfectly. The whole job took 5 hours. Cleanup was excellent. These guys are very good and know their craft.

The original roof, wooden shales deteriorated after 15 years. I used the Angie's List app to locate a roofer. Pond roofing responded and provided an estimate. The original roof only consisted of wooden shakes, and did not have roofing plywood or sheeting. I told the estimator I wanted these items with the new roof. Pond roofing provided an estimate and could complete work within two weeks of acceptance. Before the work started, my questions were answered by a very friendly and professional office staff. On the morning the work was to begin, a large truck arrived to off load the roofing supplies. The roofing crew arrived, on time, shortly thereafter. The estimator originally thought the replacement would take a full day to a day and a half. As it turned out, the work required two full days. There were two people the first day, and three for most of the second day. Pond roofing first removed the old roof in its entirety. Then used pressure treated wooden shakes, Winterguard ice & watershield, and felt strips, along with the CDX plywood decking. The resultant roof looked better that the original when new. I was impressed by the amount of work that was required. Placing the shakes was very labor intensive. Each shake had to be cut individually and properly aligned. The work was not only technical but required a designer's eye. I was at first concerned with what I perceived as a somewhat high price. However, after seeing the amount of work that was required, I think the cost was quite reasonable. The crew thoroughly cleaned all debris and left the area in pristine condition.

About 18 months ago after a really bad storm, we hired Pond Roofing to replace all the vents on our roof and to replace the aluminum wrap around the exterior trim around the top of our roof. The did an excellent job on both. A couple of months ago we had another terrible wind storm that ripped off several pieces of the aluminum wrap. I called Pond and they came out and replaced the trim at no cost even though technically it was out of warranty. Moreover the individual that came out to replace the trim, could not have been any nicer. This is excellent customer service and demonstrates that Pond stands behind their work. I highly recommend Pond for their quality work and their commitment to customer service. Nicely done!

Overall an excellent experience. Price was great. Quality of the materials was great. Love the Sunrise windows! Installers were professional. The only snag we had came during installation of the sofit(sp?) vents. I noticed that they hadn't cut vent holes into the attic - defeating the purpose of the vent. I pointed it out to the manager and the next day they tore out the siding they had installed and reinstalled it properly. The owner claimed it was a communication error, which is entirely possible. There is always a snag in a job and this is one of those times where they may have been trying to cut corners, or the installer misunderstood. Given the quality of my overall experience and I believe it is the latter. It is an example, though, of why it's important to make sure that as the homeowner you are involved in the process. Finally, I'm not originally from Virginia, having moved here from the Midwest. As a whole I have found the contractors in the area to be overpriced and poorly trained. Not so with Pond. They knew the product and knew how to install it. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Everything went great. The roof looks very nice. The work was completed on schedule and was finished in one day.

Pond replaced two skylights for us and did some flashing repair. The quality of their skylights and materials / equipment was great, and their crews were experienced and skilled. Scheduling was a little challenging, in that a couple times their crews showed up unscheduled, so we had no one to let them in the house. When they arrived, the crew did not bring a device from their facility, that they would normally bring, that prevents the existing skylight from dropping during removal. Apparently on this particular day they could not locate this piece of equipment, but did not think it would be an issue. In fact a skylight did fall through and shattered in our bathroom. The crew did clean this up completley and it ended up OK. We would use them again, but would ensure they have the equipment to retain the skylight during removal / installation to avoid another glass break issue.

Poorly, Talked to the person and they only do estimates from 8am to 2pm and will not accommodate any deviation.

They were easy to deal with and did everything they promised. They worked well with my tenant who was home at the time of installation. I would use them again.

We chose Pond after interviewing two other companies. The estimates were all within the same ball park. The Pond respresetative was the most knowledgable. They replaced out entire roof, removing two layers of shingles. One piece of the roof had rotted, so they replaced a panel of wood. They also installed new gutters. The work was completed within three days.

The gable vent had been broken by a ladder and we needed to replace it promptly to avoid pests from egress into our attic. They made an appointment for Saturday morning and did a Very good job.

From the initial estimate to the final cleanup, everything was done professionally and quickly. I would definitely use this company again.

Pond Roofing is an excellent roofing company. The estimator was very knowledgeable and professional. There was no high pressure sales tactic. He gave me a free estimate. Our roof actually has 3 separate areas (they are big, long sloping areas) and the estimator was able to break down the job on the estimate in case we couldn't do it all at once. He also pointed out items that would not meet today's building code and included those in the estimate. They put tarps in the yard so when the took the roof off all the debris fell onto the tarp.Then they used the magnet to make sure they got all the nails. I am picky about clean up and they do a great job. This is the 2nd time I have used Pond Roofing. They did the last house we lived in. I highly recommend them.

Everyone at Pond did excellent work. The estimate by Shanti Smith was quick, and it was lower than a competing estimate from another roofing company. Paperwork for the job was mostly handled by Fax and phone. Pond's representative was very cooperative when we called to request a date for the job that was about three months out, and Pond then performed the job in the week that we requested. Their friendly crew arrived on schedule and worked efficiently and neatly until the job was done. A supervisor, Minh, stopped by to monitor them. Before they left, the crew cleaned our driveway and front steps and front yard. The new shingles look great - the whole front roof looks great.

Ponds sent a roof technician to assess my roof repairs within a few days after I contacted them. The technician arrived at my home precisely at the scheduled time and was very professional and thorough. i received an estimate for the work the next day via email and scheduled the repairs shortly thereafter?..the soonest they could accommodate me was within 6 weeks. I received a call at the 5 week point and was informed they had a crew that could complete the repairs that same day. The 2-man crew arrived within the hour and completed all repairs within several hours??no issues to date with their work. Very satisfied with Ponds?..would not hesitate to use them again for future small or major roof problems.

The estimator came for a free estimate, reviewed carefully all the roof, gutter, overhanging branches, under gutter, walls and chimney and concluded that we should not use Pond Roofing services but have the gutter cleaned and use a specialized masonry expert to redo the chimney. All the rest was fine. We paid nothing for this and honest advice.

Excellent. They arrived earl, worked nine hours and finished in one day. Roof looks very good and no problems so far.

On Monday morning he came out and with a few screws made the repair. That's responsive service! This was the first problem we have had with everything they have done for us. Pond Roofing is a top notch company that I highly recommend.
