A single person (Toni) was assigned to clean the apartment. We provided her with a key to the apartment and were told by the the office (Brandon) the key is stored in a locked central location and will be returned to us by mail should service discontinue for whatever reason. For 1.5 years Toni did a good job cleaning the place. However, at every recurring cleaning we had to chase Brandon to confirm if Toni was coming and if so, when (that was important to allow building access over cell phone while we are at work). Often we received last minute cancellations/reschedule request after we chased Brandon. While all types of things happen in life, it was disspointing that no back-up provisions or prior notifications that service will discontinue upon Toni's maternity leave were made. Instead on a day that Toni was supposed to come and again after chasing Brandon, we learned that Toni left on maternity leave, will not be replaced and service will stop. Not very professional, but OK. Then came the ordeal of getting our key back: we received someone elses' key, not ours. After several back and forths with Brandon we were asked to deal directly with Toni, who only receives text messages on her phone and was not responding. Toni is on maternity leave and understandably has other things on her mind, but the office and the management failed to make adequate arrangements that they assured us at the begining were part of their standard policies. Very upsetting, disapointing and unprofessional. As I was writing this review Toni called. She is planning to stop by the apartment before we go to work in the morning and try her keys so she can return the correct one. Not holding my breath. Planning to rekey the door. Bottom line: unprofessional and not reliable management. I would not recommend this service.

We originally had Maid to Smile, which usually sent us to two maids and took about 3 hours to clean the house. Then Maid to Smile got bought/taken over/whatever by Platinum Maids. The first thing they did was switch out our favorite maid. And then they started only sending one maid. I complained repeatedly about the lack of scrubbing on the toilets. One week I swear they forgot to clean any of the five toilets in the house. They finally started getting the toilets mostly clean. But they were still only sending one maid out and she was taking less time to clean than the two maids did when we still had Maid to Smile. This last cleaning (24 May 13) was the last straw. Yes we did lose power while the maid was here, but that's no reason to leave almost an hour early. And the floor in the bathroom off the kitchen was clearly not cleaned at all. There were dirt spots and hair all over the floor the day after the maid cleaned. We are not that messy here, there's no way we were that messy in one day. Even the reminder emails lost quality. Maid to Smile used to send a note including the time of the scheduled service. Platinum Maids doesn't even say morning or afternoon in their email. I am tired of fighting with these people to get 1/3 service I used to get. I am officially searching for a new maid service.

They ignored my pics and forwarded me the insurance contact information. I called the insurance company and they asked me questions about their account number and start date of coverage. I sent the maid service an email about this. They wrote back to me and provided me with all the info. It took almost 3 weeks and 5 messages before I was able to catch the insurance person on her phone. She never called back on any of my messages. She puts me through the ringer with questions asking if anyone else could have done it, who else was in the house for the past several weeks, etc. Then after 15 minutes of arguing every point with me, she tells me that they are not covered for theft with this insurance company. I was really frustrated. The insurance person said that they were looking into whether they had any additional coverage that covered theft with another policy. I waited another week and then sent another email to platinum maids. they responded with another insurance contact at another company. I left a message there. got no call back. sent another email to platinum maids and they responded that they had given me the info and they were not going to do anymore. I was free to do whatever I liked about it. I kept on calling the second insurance company and after a week caught the person on the phone. She told me that I had to convict the maid of the crime before they pay out. So now I have to file a police report, charge the maid and go to court, and only if she is convicted, do they pay out. Seriously! this is so fraudulent. When a maid comes to your house, she is an agent of the company she works for. The company is libel for what she does and therefore, when they advertise that they are bonded and insured, they should be. This company is a nightmare. Stay away from them.
Description of Work: Do not use this service! they say they are bonded and insured, but they are not properly bonded. After 5 months of service, when I switched from a night shift at work to a day shift, (and was not at home during the cleanings) I had some jewelry stolen. My 20th wedding anniversary gifts. They were still in the original boxes with the tags on them. The tags said 22K gold and cost over $1,100 dollars each. Now before you blame me, know that they were in the bottom drawer of the bedside table under my bras. I, thankfully, happen to look for them that night because I had a function to go to and was planning out an outfit. I freaked out and emptied every drawer in my room, emptied the closet, under the bed, you name it. It was 10:30 pm before I sent an email to platinum maids. Now, If I had waited until after work to when I get home the next day, I would have had no recourse. Because they require you to contact them within 24 hours or they will do nothing. First they argued with me over the phone and told me my house was cluttered and difficult to clean. I really don't know what that has to do with anything. I decided to send them pictures of how the maid, a foolish 23 year old girl, let the dust collect, did not wipe down the baseboards and did not clean the rim of the tub and black stuff was collecting there.

This is some of the worst service I have ever received from a cleaning company? And they did not even make it out to clean our home. After setting up this appointment more than four weeks in advance, and then calling to confirm three days in advance, Platinum Maid called us the evening before our appointment to cancel. This is more than just an inconvenience to us, as we had scheduled a move in clean for our new home? And then had painters and movers that were following the next two days. They were aware of the situation and yet did nothing to work with us. They blamed the entire thing on a "family emergency" for the owner, which rendered the entire company unable to work? And they were unable to send any cleaner to our home. We offered them several alternatives, including providing all of the cleaning supplies for them if they would only send a crew to our home. Instead, they were unprofessional and rude on the phone telling us that there was nothing they could do. They even refused to provide the owners name so that we could speak with him... Instead, with less than 24 hours time, they claimed that they had given us "ample time" to locate a new cleaning crew, even though it was a weekend. If you want someone to come out and clean your home don't bother......they probably won't show anyway....
Description of Work: We requested a move and clean four weeks ahead of time, and then confirmed three days out. However, the evening prior to our move-in clean, Platinum Maid called us to cancel, so the services were never actually performed.

This was the worst experince I ever had with a cleaning service. The female actually took it upon herself to put her cell phone on my phone charger didn't even ask me. This leads me to believe this is not the first time she has used personal items at a customers home. What if I weren't here? When I questioned her about using my things her response was I didn't think it was an issue. The cleaning itself was below par, when I showed her the problems she gave me attitude. I will never use this company again it was terrible.

Two young girls (young to me) cleaned my house. I explained we had had construction and that we were expecting lots of company over the weekend. I also told them I needed the bathrooms, two of the bedrooms, the living room and dining room taken care of especially well. While one of the maids removed things from the buffet in the dining room they were never put back - which meant my dining room table wasn't cleaned - nor was the wood on the chairs. Our wood and tile floors were cleaned with water - but never swept. Because of the construction the water turned to dirty water - and left all the floors dirty and sticky (including in one of the bedrooms I had requested to be especially well cleaned since my grandchildren would be staying there). My husband redid all the floors on Friday evening. On Sunday 4/17, while in our l/rm, one of my friends moved something on a glass table...and we found that it had never been dusted - nor had any other table in that room. And my friend's daughter decided she would clean my living room for me. The company emailed me on Monday to see if I was pleased...and I emailed them back telling them of my disappointment. This was a trial run for me. I've never had a cleaning service and have been thinking of hiring one once a month. Platinum will not be that service. In fact I would never recommend them - first because of the poor quality of their cleaning, and secondly because they obviously could care less - since its been two days and I still haven't heard from them.
