The company came out to look at the project and one of the windows is above a door and they aren't able to do the work. The company was very good when they came out to look at the project.

The firm did a good job overall, but ran into some complications because of our 3 "sun pipes" that they had to roof around, and the installers seemed not familiar with these, although they are installed on quite a few roofs, we believe. We had to point out some mis-alignments of two of the sun pipes, which the installers corrected, satisfactorily. We thought they needed some training in how to handle sun pipes. To our surprise, they finished the job in one day, working up until almost dark. Outside cleanup was generally OK, but despite their assurance that their magnetic pickup "rake" would get all the nails, we have found 9 or 10 nails so far, so we think there may very well be more we will come across eventually. Perhaps more thorough "raking" would be a better practice. We were also surprised by how much "debris" we found in our attic after the job, which under the circumstances perhaps should have been expected; however, we think they might have warned us about that. The quality of the work we would say is grade-A, but we feel we can't give them an overall A rating, because of the above-noted items. As for whether we would use the provider again, the answer has to be "no", not because of the quality, but because we surely will not be in the house long enough for the roof to wear out!

We signed contract but cancelled it after we found prices much lower. I think this is a great company with a good product but the price scared me away. The sales guy was very professional and knew his stuff. Sorry it didnt't work out better . Not sure of date of service offered.

I purchased an Angies list coupon for discounted roof replacement from the company. After meeting with the company representative, I found out that the coupon would cover about a quarter of the roof's square footage and the shingles in the coupon were not the same quality as the current "architectural" shingles on my roof. So, I decided after consultation to get the roofing job done to my wishes although it was going to be expensive. The work was done about two weeks after I put down an additional deposit of $3,000.00 to add to the $4,499 coupon. It took about a day and a half with a team of about 8 men to finish the work. It looks terrific and will last a very long time. The men took care to clean up very thoroughly after they were done.

No work has been done at this point, but we have met with a representative in order to obtain an estimate of the costs. The gentleman arrived on time for the appointment, was friendly and knowledgeable, and did a good of explaining the work and the product to be used. Furthermore, we only have to pay approximately $3000 of the total bill of $7000 which we consider to be reasonable.

We are in the process of buying a home and the home inspector said that we should get a roofing expert in to take a closer look at the condition of the roof and gutters as he was not qualified to do so. We were near the end of the inspection contingency and needed to schedule the inspection ASAP. Based on the reviews I called NuHome - they were open Saturday and were able to confirm an appointment on Monday! Josh arrived promptly at the property for the appointment. He was well dressed, very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He explained that the roof was actually in decent condition, and did not pressure me into replacing it. He was able to identify the model and year of the different windows installed in the property, and determined that they did not need replacing either. He pointed out that the aluminum siding had seen better days, and could be replaced for aesthetic reasons, but was not critical for preserving the integrity of the home. Josh obviously had substantial experience, but I was especially impressed with his honesty; stating that he wasn't going to sell us something we didn't need. I will absolutely call back when we decide to replace the siding!

We were very pleased with the roofing job. NuHomes sent a double crew in order to get the work done before rain that was predicted for the afternoon, and they were done before noon. We had snap-on screens over the gutters to keep out leaves, and they removed them for the work and then did a great job reinstalling them when they were done. I did have to clean some nails and debris out of portions of the gutters, but otherwise they left the site very clean all around the house. The NuHomes rep called me later to ask how everything had gone, and I was able to tell him what a good job their crew had done. I mentioned that I saw one exposed nail head and asked if it should have been caulked. He had two workers come by the next day, and they replaced that shingle to avoid any potential problems and have a more finished look than just dabbing some caulk on the nail head. I appreciated their responsiveness and professionalism.

I had some of my original windows replaced. Josh came out to make the presentation and was well dressed and well mannered. He was personable and sold me some windows. The installers arrived right on time and did an excellent job of installing the windows. They sealed and caulked and did a terrific job of cleaning up after they were finished. I really like the look of the windows and the ease of cleaning. They seem to be well insulated. I am very pleased. Everyone answered all of my questions during the final decision process. The warranty on the windows is excellent. I will have them come back soon and replace the rest of the old windows.

Overall a very positive experience. We scheduled an appointment with the sales department and someone came over to plan the details of the project with us. We had never done a project like this before, so it was nice that the salesman was knowledgeable and very willing to work with us to in order to make our vision a reality. After we had finalized the plan and price, the salesman scheduled an appointment to install the door and said he's be in contact with us about the yard because the weather was a factor in being able to pave. The appointment to install the door happened on time exactly as we expected. However, we had not heard about the appointment to pave the yard for several weeks. One day late in the week, my wife got a call from Nu Home saying the appointment was made for early next week. We were able to shuffle our schedule to accommodate, but it would have been nice to have more notice. We are very happy with the way both the door and the yard turned out. The paving looks exactly as we planned, right down to the trim and grading of the yard. The door was a major improvement over our old one and is air tight to avoid drafts. However, there were a few slight negative experiences. The workers who installed the door did a great job, but they did not inform us that they would need to replace the existing molding around the door. They installed the new molding beautifully, but it was bare wood which clashes with the painted walls. It would have been nice to know that we would need to repaint the molding after installation. The only other thing was was that the workers who paved the yard forgot to finish the trim on one corner of one of the flower boxes. It was a small oversight (maybe 4-5 bricks worth of trim) but it really stood out. I informed our sales rep the next day and he came out personally to inspect the work and immediately scheduled the work team to come back out and fix it. The yard is perfect now and looks great. We have used Nu Home in the past and will continue to do so. We are very happy with the work and the attitudes of people we interface with at the company.

Contacted nu home through Angie's list. I didn't purchase the Big Deal but they gave me the same discount. Mike came to show me their products. I liked that he wasn't very pushy. We had to replace three vinyl windows in our home, because two of them have moisture inside. Previous homeowner had purchased the windows and we were unaware of the brand. Nuhome had great Vytex windows that matched very closely. Two installers came and quickly put in the new windows. Everything went well and we are very happy.

Install went well and the workers stayed until they were finished which was later in the evening. They had a fantastic work ethic. I was a little disappointed with the interior finish of some decorative molding but I'm a perfectionist. We had some accidental damage to our hardware which the company replaced quickly at no cost to us. Doors look and work great.

First off, the roof does look great and the folks at Nuhome are very nice and responsive (mostly). The actual install is subcontracted out, so be aware that the installers are not from NuHome so to speak. The Good: The sales consultant from Nuhome and the project coordinator were very nice and made every effort to please. The materials were delivered on time and work was started on the agreed upon date. The finished work is very acceptable and the coordinator made an end of job walk around with me. Issues with the install were addressed promptly. We are very happy with the look of the roof and siding. The Bad: It was initially promised that the work would be completed in a day with a crew of at least 8 workers. I do understand that this is an estimate and weather, roof pitch, etc. can extend the job over a day and this was explained from the start by the sales consultant. The job took all of 3 full days (working sometimes past 8:30 in the evening, which is too late for roofers to be banging in any neighborhood) to complete with a crew of (I think) only 4 workers. At the end of each day, the workers did not clean up well and had even blocked the sidewalk leading to the front door with materials and trash. We could normally walk around the mess with no problem except we have a 2 month old baby and navigating the mess with the baby was a dangerous situation for my wife. The siding on the house was scuffed where they hauled materials up the ladders (even the brand new siding just installed). Clean-up was not performed to a high level and I'm still picking up trash from the lawn and bushes. Left over materials were left on the front lawn on a pallet and the workers did not offer to move it for us, which for a $8,000 job should be an expectation. In the end, the two Nuhome guys did their best to satisfy us and made every effort to alleviate our concerns. It would have been nice at the end of the first day to know that the job would not be completed in the agreed upon time frame. The coordinator showed up at the afternoon of the second day and told us it would be finished that evening, which it was not (not even until the next evening). As much as we like the actual Nuhome folks, I suggest they consider vetting their subcontractors and make sure that the subcontractor reports on the status of the job promptly.

Casey Beedle of Nuhome Exteriors arrived at my home on time for scheduled appointment. My home had damages to the roof, windows and siding following severe ice storm in February. Casey was very professional and prepared with satellite imaging report detailing my roof square footage. He estimated repair costs at time of appointment and later emailed a detailed proposal. Casey also followed up to discuss bid and answered questions. I would highly recommend Nuhome Exteriors.

Large crew performed very quickly. Very diligent, even came back to house after they had left for the day to cover part of the roof with a tarp because the had heard on the radio that it might snow. I would highly reccomend this company.

NuHome was available nearly immediately for an estimate, but we had to wait a week due to our availability. Salesman, Mike, showed up on time and did a full walk around of the house to assess the roof. Our main roof (second floor) was around 25 years old, but in good shape, our front and rear roofs had been "repaired" by previous owner, by laying down a second layer of shingles and placing new vent boots on top of shingles, no flashing was installed, we had noticed some leaking in this area of the house. The garage roof was about the same age as the main roof, and had some known damage. Mike noticed all of the problems we knew about and explained why the double shingles made the roof look wavy. He offered us the advertised Angie's list special without prompting and clearly laid out the additional costs, so many free boards for repairs, so much per board after those are used up, etc. He was very thorough and friendly. We went ahead with NuHome, and possibly because it is a slow season, they were available the next weekend, but due to the weather we scheduled for the following Friday (just under two weeks from estimate). Delivery of materials arrived the day before, but heavy rains delayed the actual work until that Saturday. Workers showed up around 8 (or maybe 9, it was right on time though) and asked if it was OK to start, and got right at it. They had a few questions that I was unsure of (whether or not a low sloped back porch was getting done as they did not think they had supplies for it). They got a hold of the project manager, who also wasn't sure either, but after talking to Mike everything got sorted out. The workers tarped the front yard, driveway and backed in a dump truck for loading up the waste. The worked efficiently throughout the day, taking several pictures of all the damaged areas they had to replace and contacting the Project Manager each time they discovered more rotten wood. They ended up needing to use 8 pieces of plywood and about 20 lf of 1x6. The price per was all laid out in the estimate and they honored the promised two pieces of free plywood which Mike had included. It was reassuring to be able to see the pictures to know that they weren't just replacing boards to replace boards. They installed all the proper flashing and boots, as well as new flashing around my chinney. I was outside for the later part of the day and the head worker checked in a couple times to talk about the rotten wood or ask how things were looking. They asked if we wanted a small (maybe 10sqft) roof over our crawlspace entrance replaced. I honestly don't remember if Mike had said they would do that or not, but the workers took care of it regardless. They also popped back in a piece of vinyl siding and an attic vent that had fallen loose previous to the work even being started. Clean up was amazing, I'm pretty sure my yard was more clean afterwards than it was before. They used a magnetic rake to check for nails and made several passes to make sure they got everything. The lead walked around with me afterwards to ensure that everything was done properly. After they left, I noticed they must have tapped our gate when backing into the driveway. I will admit, our driveway is a very tight fit, and they probably didn't even realize they hit it. However, the gate upright was very wobbly and not at all how it was in the morning. I contacted the project manager who came over promptly on that Monday to take a look at things and send some pictures to their guys. He admitted they weren't a fencing company but said they could take a stab at it, or offered to reimburse me for repairs. I let them go ahead and try to fix it. They came by a few days later and made the fence better, but it is still a bit out of whack, so I am not contacting a fencing company to get an estimate for repairs which NuHome offered to have billed directly to them. Everyone has been very apologetic and I received absolutely no resistance to getting the problem fixed. All in all, the job was perfect -- they fixed all of our problems and I feel like we have a sound, sturdy roof overhead. With the fence damage, I realize these things happen and NuHome handled it professionally. The workers worked hard, and all communications were prompt. I would have preferred if the project manager checked in once or twice during the day, in person, not sure if this is because we had to shift the date or not. However, he was very responsive via phone and appeared to be in contact with the workers throughout the day. I would definitely have work done from them again in the future (windows, doors, siding).

I was very happy with them, but I went with someone else because their price was high. The rep that came out was very nice. He was very professional and very personable and I would have liked to have given them a chance, but their price was considerably higher than the other estimates. I really have nothing negative to say about them, it was just that their price was not competitive.

Sales consultant was helpful and seemed truly intersted in giving good service

One of the windows' sashes turned yellow. I called Mike, my original salesman, and they discussed it with the manufacturer. They couldn't figure out why it turned yellow, and they ended up replacing the whole thing. It was great. They are family oriented - the first question out of their mouths were to ask me about my mother or my daughter.

They did a good job. Their price was the cheapest out of several companies. Their customer service could've been better - all the departments weren't communicating very well. They had a different person for each part of the project. They did have to come out and fix a few things but after that, it looks fine. After we’d done the bidding on the job, we noticed they had a coupon on Angie’s List. They wouldn't allow us to use that coupon on the job.

I'm very pleased with them. When I call them for an estimate, there was no pressure - they don't call and call like some other contractors I contacted for an estimate. Later, they sent me a letter of appreciation to be able for them to come out and give me an estimate. The crew cleaned up after themselves, and there was no mess left. The put a plastic down to catch the debris.

They've been great so far. They were able to upgrade my order at no charge due to the manufacturer no longer making my chosen windows. The windows will be installed after the Holiday season. Mike will be our installer and our salesman's name is Casey. Casey is a very nice guy and very knowledgeable. I had an estimator appointment, and rather than rescheduling the appointment when they had an issue, a higher level associate came out.

We scheduled an in-home estimate with NuHome in August to discuss the new window installation. The salesman came on time and was polite and courteous. The presentation lasted around two hours mostly because my wife and I were asking lots of questions. The salesman had a very quiet, "soft sell" approach and preferred to list facts and figures to support his claims rather than the usual grand sweeping statements typical of many other vendors we had experienced. At the end of the presentation, I told him we were interested and we negotiated price. I received a number of discounts including on the spot price reductions for being an Angie's List member as well as offering to pay 1/3 of the price up-front and 2/3 upon completion. We had a good experience overall with the estimate and bought the windows with installation right there. The salesman said he would then schedule a person to come and "laser measure" our current windows in order to ensure accuracy and that the correct size was ordered for the new windows. We were slightly disappointed when the person came to our house and casually measured our windows with a regular tape measure. We had expected a more precise measurement method per the salesman's statement, especially when considering the cost of the total project. The person that made the measurements then said the windows would be put on order and that someone would call us to schedule installation. We discovered some time later that our Homeowner's Association required any new windows to exactly match the exterior color of our house and to have grids. (We had bought the simple white windows with no grids) I was able to call NuHome and make the required changes to our order with minimum hassle. I corresponded with a sales associate via e-mail and he clearly laid out the cost for adding color and grids to out existing order. He also assured me that all of the discounts we had used prior would apply to the new costs as well. Installation was scheduled for a few weeks later. Two installation technicians arrived at the pre-scheduled time and took roughly 6 hours to complete the job of installing 10 new windows with full exterior vinyl wrapping. The technicians were very polite and took off their shoes when entering our home and working. One of them even took the time to fix our broken door handle on the basement door all on his own (I didn't mention it to him, I just came down and found it repaired all of the sudden). While the overall installation went well, we had two negative experiences. First, the technicians threw a lot of old wood and debris from our second story windows which ended of trampling some of the flowers we had in the front yard. However, they made a good attempt to clean everything up, but did miss a few little scraps here and there. The second negative experience came when I did the final inspection after the installation and it was time to pay the remaining 2/3 of the total bill. The technician had no idea how much I owed and I had never been given an official final bill, I had only discussed the costs for the extra work with the sales associate from before. The technician had to call the NuHome office and get the cost for our final bill from them. We thought it was a bit strange that nobody had told us what the final bill would be and the technician was not prepared for that beforehand. Besides the few small negative experiences, we had an overall very positive experience with this vendor. Everything happened when it was scheduled and we were very grateful they were so easy to work with when we had to unexpectedly change the details of the project. We are planning on using them again for any exterior projects, specifically for paving our backyard.

The product is performing very well and looks great. The workers were courteous, quick, and cleaned up up everything--the old doors, all packing materials, etc. They even polished the door hardware! I highly recommend them!

Extremely pleased with the service and workmanship, from start to finish. Initial contact was with polite and courteous salesman. Another gentleman later came to measure windows, and was on time and efficient. On the day of install, crew introduced themselves, worked diligently and carefully. They exceeded expectations in their cleanliness, care and professionalism, laying down drop-cloths as they worked and vacuuming after themselves on the interior. They were also very careful of the landscape and cleaned up on the exterior when finished. (The installer noticed a bay window needed caulking, so while he installed windows and completed the exterior wrap, he went ahead and caulked the entire double bay window without bringing attention to the matter! When I thanked him, he simply acted as though that was within the scope of his job! Again, over-and-above service and exceptional attention to detail). I heartily recommend Nu Home for window replacement, and also expect their other products to be equally exceptional in quality and service. (Additional note: I have chosen not to disclose the price of the service, however suffice it to say Nu Home was the first company after many years of searching to meet my budgetary constraints, and yet still meeting my high quality expectations).

The experience went well, but it did take longer than expected. They seemed pretty professional and knew what they were doing.
