My Pest Pros

Our family had a positive experience with My Pest Pros (MPP) in removing a large hornet's nest (soccer-ball size) from a tree just above the driveway of our townhome. After looking at different reviews and comparing vendors, I decided to try MPP as a first-time customer. Lots of pluses. First, Kayla (receptionist) was friendly and professional during the intake call on Friday to assess the problem, ask for the location of the hornet's nest, and provide an estimated time window on the next business day (Monday). We requested a one-time service payment option by check. Second, the staff person (Hunter) arrived on time (8:30am) and called me 15 minutes in advance. He completed the job in about 40 minutes by spraying chemicals to reduce the number of live hornets, sawed off the entire branch of the crape myrtle tree, and then cleared the entire branch with the soccer-ball size hornet's nest attached. Third, he explained we were lucky the hornets were not bald-faced hornets (which continue to attack you even after the nest is removed). Although it was $275 to complete the work, it was worth it to remove the hornet's nest and gain peace of mind. We would use their services again!

Did not show up after telling me they would be at my home between 8 am and 1 pm. Did not call to say they weren't coming. Did not call to reschedule, just completely blew me off. I called them and they said they were near my property the previous day but did not knock on my door or call me - just completely blew me off. Did not apologize.

It went good, they are very good compare to other provider I used.

Brett timely responded to my quote request, gave a competitive price, and took the time to clearly explain the process and possible causes of the hives/bites I was receiving based on given information. Dane arrived on schedule, and was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He performed a thorough inspection, determined there were no bed bugs, but found some carpet beetles that may have been the source of my hives. He offered to spray some pesticide around our house at no extra cost and gave us additional advice on how to reduce the presence of some pests. We had a very positive experience with My Pest Pros and would use their services again in the future!

I have never written a review but want to recommend My Pest Pros for a very professional job start to finish. We live next to a wooded preserve and had a field mouse problem that infiltrated our home. Louis in particular did a thorough, caring, and effective job getting the pests out of our house and helping us keep them out in future. He was particularly sensitive to my aversion to having to kill the little guys to get the colony out . We thought the staff was so kind , responsive , and professional that we have signed up to have them take care of our seasonal bugs and ticks in the yard. We highly recommend their services !

George Mitchell, a treatment expert with My Pest Pros, provided an outstanding service when he visited our home recently. He is respectful, knowledgeable, humble and hard working. We could not be happier about our decision to hire My Pest Pros. Our initial call was to address a wasp nest that appeared on the exterior of our home, too high up toward the roof for us to handle comfortably on our own. Brett came out and remedied the issue in a timely and effective manner. Going above our expectations, he even came out on a holiday, after treating the wasp nests, to knock the structure down. We entered into a service contract with this company to address areas of our backyard. We also called recently for another, separate issue with wasps in a different location. Again, Brett came out the next day, assessed the situation and came up with a treatment plan. The office team also is a pleasure to work with on the phone. While we hope to never have to see Brett and his crew again, we are comforted knowing that they’ll be here when we need them. We recommend this company to anyone looking to take care of unwanted pests.

My Pest Pro's came out as agreed and sprayed for mosquitos. Seems to have helped reduce the number of mosquitos and allowed us to us our yard.

The technician said the droppings were very old, and there were very few (apparently a mouse can 'drop' 150 times a day) To reassure the new home buyer, we decided to put traps down and inspect every week for 2 weeks. There were no other signs of activity. I'd used My Pest Pros when my dog brought home fleas, and they were terrific, so of course I called them again when this issue came up during the home selling process

The technician was friendly and professional but misdiagnosed the problem. He noted that I had damage from flying termites but not subterranean termites. I showed him the odd spot with the mud tracks. He said that it was just dirt. It turned out that those were termite tracks. He left me with a termite bait trap for the exterior, which was helpful. However, the big issue was missed--the subterranean termites. He only address the issue of bait. However, my home needed and I would have wanted the spot treatment since my home had termites.

They arrived on time for the first appointment and answered all of my questions without me feeling stupid for asking. This is the first treatment so we'll see how long it takes to get rid of our ants. Of course, if it takes more than one time, My Pest Pros will come out, free of charge, to re-apply the treatment. Great customer service.

The two previous years, I was really happy with them. They replied to my request. I live in area with a lot of mosquitoes and it's very wet. Last year (2015), I requested them to come more than once a month and their guys came sometimes twice or three times a month. I pay a yearly fee. They obliged my requests. I asked them to call me back to reschedule another service. They would come for a monthly service, but if I would ask them to come earlier than their schedule and they obliged. That's why I was really happy. They're also effective.

The two previous years, I was really happy with them. I would give them an A. But the company has changed this year and I'm not so happy with them anymore. When I call them or leave a message, they will not call me back. It would take a while before I would get anyone. When I requested for additional service, they refused it because I'm on a full week service and that should be enough. They would said the treatment would work for four weeks but that was not the case. They were not that customer-oriented this year. They are not as professional. The technician would come to spray but would not spray the entire property. They should listen to the customer a little more. Once the customer requests for additional treatment, they should not just disregard or ignore them. My experience was really hard. I will not use them again unless they change how they treat the customers.

We've been really pleased. They've been responsive and it's the same technician every time which I appreciate because he knows my house.

Hours after missing the appointment without an explanation I called the main number and spoke with a young lady who politely transferred me to the people who handle the scheduling. After a few minutes on hold I was dumped back out to a dial tone. I called back and spoke with a Yong man named Taylor who apologized for the problem saying that the company had been busy and advised me someone would look into it to see what happened and get back to me. The next night after no one from the organization called, I called the main number again and got Taylor again. I explained i some with him earlier and no one contacted me yet. I gave him my information again and asked that he take me out of their database and not respond to my address. The only reason I didn't give a completely negative review is because it is easy to contact someone and everyone I spoke with was professional. That being said, I had to cancel appointments and rearrange my morning to accommodate a technician who never showed. Had I received a call saying he was behind and to complete a prior service call properly I would need to reschedule that would have been acceptable. The company may be top notch. There seem to be many positive reviews and I'm sure they earned them. They just won't get my business and I'll look further.

That was a waste of a week. Contacted them through Angie's List last weekend to come help out for a pest infestation in my backyard. They were responsive and tried to contact me on Monday. We played telephone tag but eventually talked on Tuesday afternoon. They were able to get me on their calendar for today, Saturday, giving me a two-hour window for arrival with an expected call ahead when on the way. Well, the two hour window came and went. Nobody called. I called them to see if they were still on the way. The first rep I spoke too put me back in the queue when he heard my issue. He didn't want to deal with it. The second service rep at least took my name but told me she couldn't not help me. I was told she didn't have access to the scheduling system. It's all about customer service this was lousy. Like I said waste of a week, now I have to find another company.

Brett was exceptionally helpful! He was prompt, did thorough work, and was very friendly. His calm demeanor and willingness to answer my questions really left me with a very positive impression.

The service provider was punctual and his attitude was very good except the service was not effective. He laid out several sticky mouse boards and pointed out that the basement ceiling panel should be removed because the mice might be staying there which we thought was great. However, the mice entrance he pointed out turned out was not a through hole to the inside of the house.

Contacted due to tiny ant invasion. Had difficulty scheduling the service in the first place. They had to reschedule me once due to overload on their schedule then called the day of to say they'd be an hour late and asked if I'd like to reschedule. I said no because we really needed to get rid of the ants, so they kept the appt but were two hours late. The serviceman was friendly but quick. The service did not get rid of the ants and had to call another exterminator. The other exterminator took care of the ant problem with one service call, were more professional, and easier to schedule with, so we stayed with the second company. Would not recommend.
