Morgan's Electrical & Refrigeration

Our experience with Morgan's Electric was negative in 2013. We'd used this contractor for similar work in 2012 and found the work reasonable, however in 2013 Mr. Morgan did a very poor job and excessively charged us. When we contacted him with our complaint, Mr. Morgan acknowledged our statement, but made no attempt to address our concern. We had Mr. Morgan provide normal annual HVAC maintenance in October 2013. After having performed the maintenance, our air conditioner stopped working. We later found it was due to a wire that had been broken by Mr. Morgan during the maintenance. He repaired that broken wire, but charged us for a subsequent service call despite having broken the air handler in the first place. We had also contracted with Mr. Morgan to service our generator for its annual maintenance. It took nearly 2 months to get the work complete and we had no idea when he would complete the work despite occasional phone calls to confirm there was follow-up work to complete. Mr. Morgan recommended that we re-seal a housing on the generator (which we agreed) although he never provided an estimate for this additional work. His bill shows about $80 worth of parts and over $230 in labor despite it taking less than 1 hour to complete. Mr. Morgan claims the excessive charges are for having to drive back-and-forth to our house.
