I contacted Tom by phone and he asked me to text him, which I did. I told him I was concerned the Groupon was expiring soon and he texted back that this was not a problem, since he doesn't start scheduling until after it would expire. I texted him several more times to try to schedule. For a while, he would respond that he was scheduling "two to three weeks out," etc. Then he stopped responding altogether. I left voice mails and more texts, and nothing. Groupon will not help me, and so I'm going to contact the Better Business Bureau. I would definitely NOT recommend Mister Squeegee. It's obviously a complete and total scam -- he has my money, and the money of others who bought the Groupon like me, and isn't doing anything.

I bought a groupon for powerwashing. I tried to schedule it when I bought the groupon in november and they said I would have to wait until spring because they dont operate in the winter. I called and emailed in February when we were having the 70 degree weather and they said that they would be able to do it in a few weeks. I called back in a few weeks and they said they would be out the following week. After another 2 weeks I called and he was on vacation so he couldnt do it. Grouponlet me trade in the money I paid for groupon bucks but what a waste of time..

We contacted this company and my wife paid for the service in advanced and charged it to her credit card. It has been over a year now and we still have yet to get the service we paid for. This company simply took our money and has yet to reach out to us. We've tried calling at least once a week since then and we have yet to hear anything from them. They are untrustworthy and unreliable.

I purchased a deal through Amazon Local for cleaning 15 windows, inside & out, for $60. In the last 2 weeks, I have left 3 phone messages asking to schedule an appointment and have received no response. Needless to say, I went to Amazon Local & got a refund because this is not a company that I am interested in doing business with.

I bought a Living Social Voucher for this Vendor, Mister Squeegee, on 4 Jan 2013. The details of the voucher are listed below. (Taken right from Living Social) $60 ($120 value) for window cleaning of 15 windows ? Locally-owned-and-operated business ? Licensed, insured pros erase dirt, fingerprints, and more inside and out ? Owner participates personally in every job ? Serve homes in Fairfax County The website provided on the voucher was not working properly and proved to be a huge waste of time. I got nothing but error alerts on the side of the site. I then attempted to call several times directly to the number provided on the voucher but got put directly in to voicemail. Eventually I used suggested email. He responded fairly quickly. After my request to set up a date for the cleaning (specifying I wasn't in a hurry to get it done but would like to set a specific date) I get a response from the President of the company that "the living social ad was for fairfax county only. Living social has an arlington/alexandria coupon which is different than the zone my coupon was for." I do live in Alexandria NOT Alexandria City and therefore pay taxes in Fairfax County. My children attend Fairfax County schools, etc. So I wrote him back explaining all that and also went so far as to copy/paste a link to our public real estate tax record from the actual Fairfax County government site. His response was, "I know but living social has their own ad boundaries......I specifically had this conversation with them at least 10 times. They told me to tell customers to contact living social for a refund or work on a "distance" charge to add to the coupon price." My first thought is SCAM. Now I'm adding a distance fee to my voucher to get service IN FAIRFAX COUNTY and/or I have to take time out of my day to get a refund through living social? I don't really see typo as my problem. Sounds like Mister Squeegee didn't set up his deal correctly? So our response was, "Since we live in Fairfax County we are in compliance with your voucher specifics, "Serves home in Fairfax County". This shouldn't be a problem for anyone involved. Perhaps you are confused. If you wanted to make it for only Fairfax City you should have said "City" instead of "County". Again, we live in, and pay taxes to, Fairfax County." The president simply wrote back telling us to contact LIving social for a better explanation. First of all it's not my problem that he and Living Social screwed up the verbiage on the deal. Second, I really don't think it's THAT big of a deal to come to Western Alexandria, in Fairfax County, to do the work. I wasn't asking him to travel across the state. Mister Squeegee is located on Rochester Dr in Fairfax, VA and therefore is 19 miles and 34 minutes away. Seems a little silly to charge a "distance" fee for that kind of travel especially when I'm completely within the boundaries of FAIRFAX COUNTY. At this point I will be taking time away from my family to call Living Social and request a refund. Also, I will be explaining to them the details of the dilemma. I don't know if it's technically Living Social's issue or the vendor's issue but what I do know is that if I was Mister Squeegee and I was asked to do a job 19 miles/34 minutes away -- I would do it so i didn't lose future business -- and take matters up with Living Social myself. I thought his emails were in bad taste anyway. I wouldn't recommend Mister Squeegee if he paid me to. At this point I'm actually uncomfortable that he even has my address in e-mail inbox. 1/30/13 UPDATE: Living Social did end up refunding my money without giving me any explaination about why the Mr. Squeegee refused to fulfill his end of the "deal". They told me to take it up with Mister Squeegee. Mister Squeegee told me to take it up with Living Social. So I guess I'll never know why he refused my business even though I live in Fairfax County.... 1/31/13 UPDATE: Living social's response to my request for an explaination: "Per the merchange he will only service Fairfax County and he says Alexandria is not his service area. You have been refunded from us here at LivingSocial for this matter already, anymore questions can be handled directly with the merchant. His number is 703-628-1728". What I find astonishing at this point is that even though the Commonwealth of Virginia says my home is located in Fairfax County - this merchant refuses to believe it. I am not sure why he and/or LivingSocial can determin County boundaries. But apparently they can.

I used a Living Social deal for the window cleanings. The owner was very nice about extending the date beyond the deal. He wasn't good about getting back to me to schedule the cleaning or to let me know that he was going to be a couple of hours late. But his work was great so I recommend him even with the communication problems.
