+ -1 moreAfter we agreed on a price of $625 to do the work, he suddenly charged me $300 for the estimate visit. There was no prior discussion of any charge at all. His website says estimates are free. I paid, but truly felt ripped off. Obviously, I did not use him for the work. I advise anyone to stay far away from this shyster.
Description of Work: He looked at the electrical problem in my backyard with his son.

They were personable, very concerned with making sure I understood the work that was being done, made suggestions on other safety issues they saw, and did not charge me for the initial home visit and estimate. They were punctual and were able to do all of the work in one day and very quickly after the initial home visit. I would definitely recommend Marx Electric Service
Description of Work: Fixed reverse polarity on outlets that were identified during a home inspection, inspected the main panel and branch panels, fixed several dimmer switches, relocated a light switch to a different wall to accommodate a door being installed, switched out black light toggles for white ones, and installed a light with pull chain in a basement mechanical area.
