Duane was excellent to work with. He came out to the house twice prior to signing the contract: first, to discuss our needs and desires, then a second time to present his design and work with us to make some changes. He was very patient with us — he listened to our concerns and desires and offered several creative solutions to achieve what we were looking for. His price was very competitive with other quotes we got for the same job from other companies. Once the contract was signed, his crew was out within 2 weeks to do the work. They likely would have come sooner, but weather delayed them by a few days. They took great pride and paid close attention to detail in constructing the borders for the flower beds. Duane graciously accommodated our desire to review final placement of all the plants before his crew installed them. The final product looks better than we even imagined, and we have had several compliments from our neighbors and friends as well.

Great. Duane is professional, laid back and very easy to work with. Multiple heavy thunderstorms occurred in the few days after work was completed. Muddy damp areas we used to have are a thing of the past and the area under the deck is no longer a dirty, muddy mess. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Duane.

We are consistently happy with the work Duane Kimbrell has done for us. He and his crew are always very professional which is why we have them back year after year. We are currently in the process of building a large addition onto our house and plan to have Kimbrell Landscape and Construction come back again this year to create new stone planting beds to help showcase our new home.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Kimbrell Landscaping & Construction for the outstanding job they performed on our front porch and walkway. When Duane initially came out to give us a quote, he took the time to listen to what we wanted done and made several very good suggestions that added to the overall effect. Kimbrell Landscaping Construction brought a team of very talented and skilled craftsmen who took the time to create quality paving stone and flagstone work. They are also very polite and keep the area very clean while they work. We were so pleased with the first work completed; we have had Kimbrell Construction complete four separate outdoor landscaping projects for us. Each time Duane walked the project with us and explained what his team would be doing. If weather caused delays, Duane was quick to call us and let us know. In summary, my husband I could not be more thrilled with the work and the extraordinary customer service provided by Kimbrell Landscaping & Construction. You can trust Duane Kimbrell and his team of craftsmen to produce quality work each and every time. Job well done.

Signed a contract in early April for this work. It was almost May when his crew finally showed up. -- Mr. Kimbrell did not know the Building Code Requirements, and charged me an extra $1000 to make up for the extra concrete and steel required. -- The wall is crooked, not laid out on the property line as requested, but is approx.18-inches off the property line at one end. -- He killed three azaleas and two grape vines that were to be preserved. -- He destroyed a ten-foot section of chainlink fence and did not offer to replace it. -- His crew ran into several posts of the chain link fence, bending them. -- Trash and garbage left on premises (Required two call backs to be cleaned properly) -- Set fence posts only 2-feet deep, requiring him back to lag oosts to wall -- Fence posts not set straight even though adjacent to the concrete wall!!!! -- Weep holes are still plugged after return trip to drill them out. Virtually NO DRAINAGE at all!!!! -- Workers found a way to break TWO hose nozzles and were working on a third -- Pathetic sowing of grass seed! Spotty, poor coverage. No additives or soil amendments used. -- Job was not completed till mid-October!!!! Bottom line, Mr. Kimbrell is a very nice man that is in a business that he should not be. He and his crew were not punctual, worked at a pace like they were being paid by the hour. They used six months to complete this job that should have taken six weeks. They were sloppy, destructive and unprofessional at best. I am very dissatisfied with the results, and now have to hire a different contractor to come solve the drainage problems caused by him and his crew. He is a nice guy, but he is not welcome on my property in the future except to bring a large refund check!!!

Duane came out to provide a quote with was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive of the quotes we received. He understood what we needed and when we needed it (we had a graduation party deadline.) The work that Duane did was exactly what we wanted and he handled all questions and additions in a very professional manner. He helped us make good decisions and provided very helpful suggestions. He was a pleasure to work with, finished on time and left our back yard perfect. I highly recommend Duane for any landscaping/hardscaping work that you have.

Our yard was a mass of swamp. Our house is lower than everyone else’s, and the water comes in from everywhere. It is soppy and wet beyond the fence and it is a mosquito haven. You can’t go in the back because it is very swampy. I had different people give me estimates and had them explain what they were going to do. It was a massive job and we hired Duane Kimbrell. His price was more reasonable than everyone else. He has a small business, and he is wonderful. He took care of the water that runs out and down the sides of the house. The earth had grown and some of the piping underground had worked its way up. He dug trenches. At one place, water used to stand for weeks after rains, and he did a French drain. He put in rocks so that it looks like a dry river. He connected the water sources to the pipes and had them go out beyond the fence. He had to bring it way out there because the land is so low there and the water doesn’t have any place to run off. I have a wet spot in my yard and he said that he would fix it as soon as the land thawed. We had him rip out everything on the front and on one side of the house because it was ugly and overgrown. He took out everything and just put mulch everywhere. It is nice and neat now, and we are just going to leave it as plain mulch until we figure out what we want. I had the overgrowth cut down as much as I could but I couldn’t yank stuff out by the roots. It cost $1300 to do all that. We had really mature bushes and stuff, and clearing that cost us about $1650. The price includes sodding which has not been put down yet. He was recommended by my neighbors. I told him that I wanted a 5 or 6 year plan and asked him to come up with something fabulous. I told him that every summer, we would figure out what my husband and I could do ourselves, and what he would need to do subsequently, if things went wrong. We had gone to another provider who was not happy with our proposal but Duane was fine with that. He is very good, and I would rate him highly.
