Mike responded to my email immediately, he arranged to come the next day. He was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable about the home's construction and materials. He knew the company that had manufactured the windows by just looking at them and not reading the little label in the corner. He explained to me the technology they used in the manufacturer of the windows. Looking at the window/door installation he determined that the french doors were not properly sealed and installed. However to properly install them he would have to remove the siding from around the windows, which would probably cause the siding to break since they are builder grade and have become brittle as they have weathered over the years. Then he would have sealed the windows/doors and placed new vinyl around them which would not match the existing one. I also requested an estimate to replace the entire vinyl siding in the rear of the home, which would have included the sealing of the windows etc. Mike did not recommend replacing the entire siding at this time. He informed me that this work may not fix the leaks. He recommended that we caulk and paint the exterior of the home using a good painter every five years. I also needed an estimate for replacing a very large custom window. Mike recommended we hire a glass company to replace the glass in order to save money. We got the written estimate promptly and decided to first try solving our leak problems by caulking and painting the home. This would be our first step and if it does not work we will hire KCSI Construction to replace our siding.

I don't remeber all the details but I do recall that an estimator contacted us promptly, We discussed the problems of bird nesting in soffit, exposed insulation under the sunroom and possiblity of adding trim to the sunroom deck and repairing exiting trim on the suroom base to obtain a clean and finished look. They were able to fix the soffit problems and enhance the look of our patio and sunroom. They provided information and a website to review my doo rselection. The contract was signed in April 2011 and the work completed approximately a month later. I am very pleased with the quality of work. Also, the birds have not returned to nest in the soffit under the roof eaves for the past two summers.

Extraordinary quality, service, and responsiveness. This was a long and tedious process with my insurance company, and KCSI co-owner Mike MacCabe was always available to advise and assist. Five other homeowners in our immediate area have used KCSI and are very pleased with them. This is a local company with permanent work crews, not a company that follows hail storms around the country.

,A piece of siding blew down during a strong wind storm. It had been insecurely attached for several years due to not having been totally secured during original construction. I had had two professionals look at it, both of whom told me it was impossible to fix and that a 15 year old piece of siding would most likely snap if anyone tried to secure it better, so they wouldn't touch it. After the piece blew down I called KCSI. John Knowlan came out promptly. He explained to me the original mistake in securing that piece of siding which had caused the problem. He explained three different levels of repair with associated costs. I chose the level I wanted( including removing the rest of that row of siding and replacing the defective starter strip with a better quality steel starter strip which should hold the siding in place) and also asked that they check for any other places in the siding which needed securing. They did the work very soon. At the completion of the work, John wrote me a detailed letter telling what they had done (I was not home at the time) and included 13 pictures on which he circled the places where they did work and he wrote a brief note on each one explaining what they had done.I can't think of a time that I have had such excellent, prompt, and reasonably priced work done. I recommend KCSI highly.

Mike came out soon after I called and quickly provided an estimate which we accepted a couple of days later. He then scheduled a day for the repairs. He arrived with his crew and made sure everything got completed properly, including dealing with some cable wires that went around that part of the house. All work was completed expertly including cleaning the job site. I would definitely use this firm again.

I found him/them very professional, competent, and honest. I would definitely recommend using them again.

The estimate was free. He has given me good options. He is helping me to stay within my budget. He is not pushy. He is very prompt. He is very professional.

Mike (the owner) and his crew (who did the work) were wonderful. I need some roof repairs and will certainly give his company an opportunity to do the work.

John was quick to return my call & did an estimate that day. He emailed me the estimate the same day and followed up 2 days later. (that was Thursday) John scheduled to start work the following Monday and completed all the work in one day. The work looks great, the gutters work wonderfully & he came in $100 under budget.

Fabulous. Excellent and prompt communication prior to the job via both email and phone. I asked various questions, and about different options (e.g., using an on-sale door I saw at Home Depot, switching to a door with betweeen-glass blinds, etc.). Got quick, clear helpful responses all the way through. On installation day they arrived promptly with a large crew and blew through the job quickly. Door was installed with high quality -- they did a nice job making the trim fit in smoothly with the existing construction. Cleanup was great. Price was higher than what I'd gotten through Home Depot, but the quality was better too. I'd use them again for siding/windows in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

KCSI was recommended to me by a friend and I found the overall experience exceeded my initial expectations.

I called KCSI to come out and give us an estimate to have some siding replaced/repaired. I explained to him that we would likely be selling the house within the next 3-4 years. I showed him the areas of concern and he walked me through a few options to fix them. He told me, however, that since we were planning not to stay in the house long-term, that it would not be worth our while to make the repairs now since it's possible that future buyers wouldn't even notice the issues. He also gave us some tips on making a few repairs to our trim work ourselves. Overall my experience with this company was great! He could have sold me a few thousand dollars worth of work, but instead gave me some great advice. If we end up need to make the updates to our siding at a later date, I will definitely be calling them back!

This is the type of company that makes you think "I wonder what else they do?" They are very professional, highly responsive and just an all around pleasure to work with. Competitive prices too and very honest (ie they don't just automatically recommend the most expensive option). Highly recommend.

KCSI rep, Mike, visited my home to view and discuss the job. The soffit under our roof was invaded by birds last Fall and the soffit was displaced. Also, we had insulation installed under our sunroom floor which is above a patio. The insulation was exposed and was unsightly from the patio view and needed to be covered. Additionally, there was some cosmetic work to be done on a deck off the sunroom. Mike gave suggestions and options to deal with the problems while keeping cost at a minimum. We also discussed the french doors leading to the patio and their inefficiency during cold weather and decided to replace the existing storm doors. Since the storm doors were special order, the work was scheduled to be done upon receipt of the doors. While waiting for the doors, Mike kept me posted on a regular basis. Once the doors arrived the work began the very next day. Overall, it has been a very positive experience and I would definitely hire them again.

They did very well. They did it earlier than I expected. They did a very good job and they were responsive. They didn't have to do much in terms of clean up but they did it very quickly and very well. They did a good job. I am going to use them again.

John Knowlan returned my call the same day that I left a message with KCSI. He came out the next day, which I really appreciated since it was a small job, replacing a piece of siding that had been blown down by strong winds. He carefully determined the level of repair that I was interested in, since a range of repairs was possible. He was very thorough in assessing my siding, explaining to me several ways they could make it more secure, depending on what they found when they took down the problem row of siding. (I had told him I didn't just want the one piece put back, only to blow down again with the next strong wind, rather I wanted a fix that would secure it.) I also asked him to fix any other places that needed securing since the siding is 14 years old and has sustained some serious winds recently. John fit my work in quickly. He found several other places that needed securing. When he sent the invoice, he included a letter which described what they had done and also pictures of what the siding had looked like each place they had fixed and of his men in the process of repairing each. They did a superb job. I am very pleased with how my house looks. The price was very reasonable. It was a pleasure to work with KCSI.

KCSI did an excellent job in all areas. Mike McCabe solved several gutter problems on our new addition so that water was directed into the gutters instead of sluicing over onto the deck below. They did a good job of cleaning up, we did find a few more nails and bits of shingle, but we expected that.

Excellent overall. Answered all questions and researched alternatives, on time, no surprises. The team worked hard and delivered superb quality. I recommend them without reservation. No issues, no problems, very pleased with results, exceeded expectations.

I ended up liking another company but their bid was very professional and they were my second choice. They had a very professional approach and their bid proposal was very detailed. I dealt directly with the owner and he was very professional. I enjoyed working with him but they just didn't have the best price. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

They were very professional from beginning to end, very timely and they did a very good job cleaning up after the job was done. I would rate them excellent on everything they did and I absolutely would call them for future work.

I have no complaints. They were very professional from when they did the estimate. They checked to see how things were going and after to make sure it was all approved. They cleaned up everyday to make sure they left no mess behind. I would recommend them.

Mike MacCabe & KCSI were very helpful in all stages of the process: submitting requests for an estimate, reviewing all options with us, selecting color & style, preparing us for what to expect during the installation, and following up after the project was completed. KCSI's crew was very professional and worked efficiently - they have an eye for smaller details that other contractors don't. We are very pleased with the finished results and will use them again for other projects.
