Work was rejected due to re-negotiation

I got Joe's name from Angie's list because of good reviews he received. He lived up to the good reviews. He responded very quickly, came to my home when he said he would, offered multiple options and explained how he intended to do the work and when. He arrived when or earlier than he said he would, completed the job in a very professional manner, left the area very clean, and delivered under his estimate. No question--when I have similar work Joe will be the fellow I will call. Great service.

I hung up on him. He is so picky and choosy. I think the questions are outlandish.

Was timely on his ability to procure the right door size from a local lumber supplier and install. Very personable and price was within our expected estimate. Provided all licensing and references at time of job estimate without me needing to ask.

I contracted with Joe to install crown moldings throughout most of my two-story house. His work was very professional. My house is older, and has some pretty warped ceilings in the second floor, and he took a lot of time to shape the moldings to be snug with the ceiling. He joined and matched the corner joints perfectly together with no side higher than the other. In the few places where he had to join two wall pieces together, he did it so it appeared almost seamless once painted.

Very professional, good quality work. We would use him again. My only disappointment is that he does not paint the doors -- But he fully disclosed this upfront. I also would have preferred pricing estimates that split labor and materials.

Don't waste your time with him. Seems to have very limited capabilities. I wanted rotten exterior brick molding trim around 3 doors replaced AND portico railing replaced. He was only interested in handling brick molding and NOT the portico railing. Once I indicated that since this was a realtively small job and it seemed to make sense to have one company handle it all he became very annoyed and practicully hung up on me!!???

I contacted this provider to inquire about multiple home improvement projects that needed to be completed in a short amount of time. Due to the quick turnaround time I required, I was unable to use this provider as he was already committed to other jobs. He was professional in his response; I would consider using him in the future.

All work was done as described on time and on budget. Drywall work require a number of separate trips. Each step was done promptly as promised and the entire job was completed within about a week. Joe is very professional and respectful of being in your home. We have alreadly spoken about several other jobs that we would like Joe to address for us.

We had a very good experience with Joe Cox. He came to our house to get our specific request and to go over the best size for our small dining area. He thoroughly went over our options and gave us a quote at a very reasonable price. He was able to come out the next week and construct the bench seat in about 2 days. The finished product is exactly what we wanted and is built to last. We love the storage under the seats and solid construction. We would highly recommend Joe.

Joe reversed my bedroom door, switching the hinge from one side to the other. This opened up additional space in the room, as the door now swings outwards. Joe offered different options for a new doornob and hinge assembly, explaining the different benefits associated with each. In addition, for very little extra cost, he adjusted my front door, which was misaligned. Joe was able to fit me in his schedule at a time convenient for both of us and was honest about the timeframe for completing the work. I have had no problems with the new bedroom door, and my front door is now adjusted to open properly.

Joe did an excellent job, finished on time and on budget, and communicated with us clearly throughout the project.

Fantastic! I solicited a number of estimates for this project (which originally was to include crown molding installation), and Mr. Cox was by far the most responsive vendor and offered the best price. He came to my home to give me an estimate, offered great advice, gave me references and copies of his licensing, and was very clear about what he would do on the job. Ultimately, we decided we couldn't afford to do the crown molding now, but Joe was very willing to come do the pared-down project and fit us into his schedule very quickly. His work was fast and of very high quality, and he was great about being in contact about the project and timing. We look forward to having him back to do the crown molding sometime. Highest recommendation!

The door was not even on hinges. I don't know what else he did but fixed the door. I am pleased.

I was calling around to get my appliance repaired. When I called them they advised me the price which was 25%-30% higher than who I went with. They were friendly and professional, it was just the price was to high.

It went well. He explained the issue thoroughly, made the repairs quickly, and did a good job.

He was very nice, upfront, punctual, and fixed the doors.

After calling Joe for an estimate he kept me up to date on his timing being very considerate of my time so that I didn't wait for him. Was available the next week for the job. Was on time, cleaned up, protected surroundings. Very polite and personable. We are looking forward to his return for other jobs needed around our home. All in all a fantastic experience. He is a keeper!

Joe's an upfront guy with what he is going to do, when he's going to do it and how much it's going to cost. Never had an issue, he completed all the work as he described and charges a fair rate for his time. I plan on using his services again.
