The crew did an excellent job. The estimator was very professional and easy to work with. They even accommodated a small extra request regarding the leftover wood. The cost was the lowest from 3 estimates. The only area for improvement was that it took longer to schedule the job than initially indicated, but it was worth the wait.

JL Tree Service is just top-notch! They have been at our house several times over the past 10 years because we live in a very wooded area. Beautiful area with many trees, but the weather fluctuations of the past years and the age of some of the trees have left us subject to dangerous limbs and trees hanging over house and sheds and fence. JL Tree has come through every single time. They have taken down giant oaks over 80 feet tall on several parts of the property; they have removed limbs from hardy beeches also over 60 feet tall that were damaged when a neighbor's tree fell onto our roof. Their prices for cutting down trees, removing dead limbs, grinding stumps, and hauling away brush while leaving no debris behind are just terrific. To add to this, it is so enjoyable to see how polite, efficient, and happy their truly admirable crews are. Steve is a great estimator and always so humorous and friendly. The office staff is superb and really "on the ball." JL Tree is in high demand because of all these attributes, but ... if you have an EMERGENCY, they re-juggle their schedule and advise any other customers of any changes due to such an emergency.

It was definitely a fair price. I've used them many times. They do a good job at a fair price. Once they got here it took them about an hour. They cleaned up well. I've used them every year for the last 3 years.

Wonderful service. Job required a crane because of the location of the two trees. Good cleanup with no damage to the property. Staff was very professional. Highly recommend this company for any tree service. I have used them several times over the past three years.

I've been using JL for 15 years and have had them do multiple tree removals, prunings of the trees overhanging the house and a couple of stump grindings. Steven (the arborist that covers my area) always does a walk through the property and I'm usually the one who wants more work done than he thinks is required so they definitely don't try to get you to do unnecessary work. I have been happy with all of the work and they always leave the work area clean afterwards.

Excellent work! JL Tree service gave me a professional free estimate to prune our trees and remove a large tree. Their pricing was very competitive, and in fact beat all the other estimates I received with their winter discount applied. They called me to offer to come one day and it all worked well. Franklin did a beautiful job pruning the trees (see the before and after photos). They put ramps down to protect our lawn. Their truck came to remove all the tree logs the very next day. We are waiting for the stump removal crew to come this week, but I expect they will do as wonderful a job as Franklin's crew did.

After contacting through Angies List, JL let me know I'd hear from the estimator in a few days. He called, and asked if I was available that day, and was there within 30 minutes. Once we walked around the property and agreed on a price, he let me know they could be out as early as that afternoon to do the work. Less than two hours later, the crew arrived, and were polite, professional, and quick. I could not have asked for a better experience.

The job went great. Adan and his crew worked hard all day and did a wonderful job. They cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant. I would hire this company again.

Jose did a quick estimate and explained the difficulty of the trimming and discussed how the crew is going to cut the branches into smaller pieces in order to bring them through the house since there is no alley way in the back. He also explained the need to reserve off-street parking and the required length. I went with JL because the quote was in the middle among the three quotes I got and for his detailed instruction which feels reassuring. On the day of the service the crew was late by about 45 minutes. I called and texted Jose, who was not part of the crew. He called the crew and gave me an ETA. The three men crew consists of the main climber/cutter Juan and two other workers. They are all exceedingly polite. Juan was a very skillful and careful cutter. Every cut was well-prepared and the large branches seemed to fall exactly they were supposed to. Along the way, he also took out some dead branches not on the original plan, which I really appreciate. Once the job is done, they cleaned up everything, including branches that fell in neighbor's yard. The neighbor asked for Juan's business card for possible future service. It was a six hour service.

JL Tree Service is simply the best! Their price was more competitive than 5 other companies - much more. Their service was top notch. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. They honored the quote that had been done months before and performed the service within a couple of days once we signed the contract. They have all of the right liability coverage and their staff is very professional. We will only use them going forward. The price included a 15% discount.

Asked for a free estimate and got response the following day. Estimator arrived as promised and produced estimate during the visit. This compared favorably with a competing offer. Mailed the signed approval and received a scheduling call a couple of days later. Work completed less than a week after approval. Team arrived as scheduled, friendly, courteous guys, all work completed as per contract. Good cleanup.

Price was in the middle of four bids but they were the only one not using heavy equipment hence did not have to tear down my fence.

Very well. The crew arrived on time, the site manager met with me to review the planned work, and they set up their trucks and prepared their equipment. After the first two oak trees were removed, the manager surveyed the yard and pointed out another oak tree that had a split in the trunk which was weak and another that was rotten in the center which I decided to have removed since they were near the house. The crew worked quickly and diligently, and returned the next day to complete the branch pruning. We are delighted with the results and the cost seemed very reasonable considering the level of difficulty, extra laborers, and vehicles needed to haul away the chipped wood. They even removed a hornets nest high up in one oak tree. Great job!

The estimator was prompt, professional, and didn't try to offer extra services like 2 other estimators did. To save money in anticipation of installation of a fence, we removed most of the trees ourselves and JL agreed to just grind the stumps. We recommend them without hesitation.
