Crew was excellent and the job went very well.

They are very busy so it's a bit of a line to jump into. The work was great.

JL trimmed and cleaned up the tree canopy also removed all limbs that were touching our house. It took a while to schedule a time to do the work. That’s my only complaint but it was Aug and took three weeks or more to get work done which happened in Sept. but they were fast friendly and cleaned up everything. Would suggest them/use them again their pricing is on pair with other tree companies in the area. Ask if they have a special going on, you never know.

I could not be more pleased with how Paul and the rest of the team at JL approached this project -- large pine tree in our front yard that needed to be taken down because it was dying and posed a fall hazard. They were incredibly responsive, punctual, professional, and honored the 10% AL discount with respect to both the crane cost and labor cost (other providers were not willing to do so). When access through my neighbor's property was required, they were extremely professional and earned praise from my neighbor in how they made the request and conducted themselves. Highly recommend.

The whole experience with JL Tree was outstanding--from their knowledgeable and friendly estimator to their timely scheduling to their quality work. I would absolutely hire them again, and in fact likely will this coming spring.

This was a dangerous, complicated job. They responded quickly to our call and professionally managed the entire operation. It was the talk of the neighborhood. They did no further damage to the roof, cut down the remainder of the tree, kept me informed of their progress, and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. There was so much debris that they had to empty and struck and return for the remainder. They are such a responsible company. They assured me that the beautiful wood would be used. That made me happy because we had loved that tree. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Once we agreed to their estimate, it took three weeks just to get a date scheduled for the work. On the day they were supposed to show up to trim the trees (the stump crew was a separate crew), I received an email saying they wouldn't show up because they didn't have enough work in the area. They were supposed to come the next day, but didn't show up. They finally came two days later when I threatened to cancel the contract. The stump crew showed up the following week to do the work without scheduling the work. The work was fine; the scheduling and responsiveness was not.

Jl came out on time and completed the work in one day, then cleaned up the yard to where you could not tell they were even there.

I have contacted JL Tree services through email to clean up dead branch fallen and also to remove the branches grown to neighbors place from one tree (This is the first time I am contact a tree service company). They have provided an estimate through email (I thought it is standard not to call and provide an estimate). When I called their front desk, got information that, they will not schedule work on phone, but will call after 2-3 weeks; which I agreed. They have called one morning (when I sit at work place) saying they are ready to work same afternoon. Since they mentioned, they are always on busy schedule, i took half day off and came to house same afternoon. Three gentlemen showed up 30 mins late than what they mentioned on the phone. Two of them were young and one was in mid forties. One of the young guys was speaking English, and he was doing the talk, I showed the tree, branches which were slanted to neighbors yard and dead branch in neighbors yard. Young guy started work and did some cleanup. After that main guy climbed the tree for work and started asking again about the branches to cut. I came back and told the guy who speak english, showed the branches to be removed which are slanted to neighbors yard. The guy at the top keep on asking me in angry tone and started talking loud (with few Spanish bad words which i can understand) I don't know whether he was angry because he wasn't expecting the work they had committed. If that was the case, I would expect them to communicate to me in professional manner than showing bad face and angry voice. I had asked whether any problem, but the guy to whom I was talking was saying everything is fine. I didn't say much and gave the payment through 'check' and gave them a tip as the two young guys worked hard. They have moved the branches, kept the place neat after work. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience and felt uncomfortable during the whole process (I am giving them 'B', because I don't know whats normal in tree service)

Had been a customer of JL Tree since 2013. We have had several projects done for thousands of dollars and considered ourselves repeat customers. I reached out the arborist at JL who does the estimates for our area in early April 2017. (had used him in the past with no issues) We spoke via phone and set an estimate appointment for Thursday, April 6th. The arborist never showed, called to cancel, or texted he was not coming. My wife then called the JL office directly the following week to see if anyone else could come give us an estimate as we needed the work done in the spring. She was told that they only had the one arborist for our area and we should reach back out to him. My wife texted him and received no response. I then texted the same arborist on Monday, April 17th asking him if he could please give us the estimate. I did write in my text that we understood if he was slammed but to respond either way so at least we knew and could then make other arrangements to get the tree work done. I also asked in that same text if he could come out to the house that Thursday (which would have been the 20th) The Arborist responded to my text on Tuesday April 18th and stated in his text "Sure thing We were supposed to meet the day we had the tornado and then your request got lost in the shuffle Sorry for that I can do Thursday morning if that works" I responded to his text the same day within 3 hours and stated the following " .....Thursday morning will work (my wife) will be at the house. Any changes let us know" My wife ended up working from home on Thursday, April 20th and again the arborist was a no show with no call or text to cancel or reschedule We had no choice at that point but to go to another company who provided the estimate in a timely manner and completed the $4,500 worth of tree work.

Everything went exactly as planned - the crew arrived about 8:30 and spent most of the day work on the trees. They trimmed all the trees exactly as we requested, cleaned up all the brush and even swept & blew off the driveway. Crew was very professional and nice to deal with. We have recommended them to neighbors and will use them again.

The crew was right on time, finished the work in less than half a day and left the yard cleaner than it was before the work. The work was $1000 cheaper than the nearest competitive bid and was finished in less than a quarter of the time the other company said the job would require. We would hire them again without hesitation.
