Mike arrived at the arranged time and installed the railing quickly and efficiently. Price was very reasonable and the work was done very well. I would hire this company again.

Tried to get multiple estimates all from Angie's list A provider's. Jim's was lowest price but also a tie for speed of response. Follow up was extremely good and came out after the initial estimate to insure he could match the baseboard. Called to confirm the date and time, then showed up exactly on time. Quality was excellent. You cannot tell where the repair is in the ceiling and the baseboards matched exactly. Definitely hire again.

Jim came to do the estimate prior to the work. He was friendly and punctual. The work was scheduled for the following week. The handyman assigned arrived on time and completed all of the work except the window sill. It wasn't communicated to us that we needed to have the paint ready so the project could be weather sealed. This required us to go buy the paint and a day delay in finishing the project. The handyman was able to come back the following day.

Tim arrived as scheduled and completed the job. He was professional and personable. This is my "Go To" company for any handyman service, and I've used them multiple times. No matter who they send to do the job, it's done right. Ros, who manages the schedules, is always very helpful. I highly recommend them.

Highly, HIGHLY recommend Jim the Handyman for these kinds of repairs. It was so easy to get an appointment and they were very willing to work with me when the original date we agreed upon became unavailable on my calendar on short notice. The serviceman came right on time (8:30), surveyed the 6 doors that needed attention, gave me the price, and when I agree to it, went right to work. He brought all his tools in to our garage (since it was raining we made the space available for the work). He worked on the doors until noon. He had to shave/sand bottoms of 3 doors, the tops of 2 more and then figure out why one door was closing all by itself (a "ghost" door). Every door was fixed to my 100% satisfaction. He needed to remove one of the doors and take it to the garage to be sanded three times before it passed muster! In addition to performing the work, he cleaned up in each room, making sure that graphite or grease was removed from surfaces to prevent it being tracked around the house -- very fastidious, which we doubly appreciated. Again, it's a pleasure dealing with such a professional vendor and I certainly will call on them again for such repairs.

Jim and his assistant came and replaced 4 interior doors for us that needed to be updated to 6-panel doors. They worked quickly and efficiently and the price was reasonable considering we don't have time or the tools necessary to perform the job ourselves. The doors look great and they even installed the handles. We would use again.

Called Jim the Handyman to do a few small projects around my home. It was easy to set up a time to do the estimate and they were prompt in coming out. Received an estimate on the spot which was very helpful. The price was competitive with other contractors I had contacted. Easy to set up an appointment for the work to be done. Mike came out during the window I was given and did a great job. Cleaned up after the job was done.

He was professional and timely. The work was good quality. We were very satisfied with his work.

It was wonderful! Roz from the front office was very responsive. Kelly was great to work with. They came out for the estimate within a few days of calling, got me the estimate within a few days of being here and then were able to schedule the work within two weeks. It only took him a few hours to build out the pantry and it is the best investment that we have made in this house. He used prefinished wood so that we could use the shelves right away. The price was excellent and the work was professional and well-executed. We had a professional closet company come out to estimate and they couldn't do much more for at least three times the price. We will use Jim the Handyman again over and over. Thanks!

It was a difficult job b/c the deck and porch are not perfectly squared -- this was why we hired a carpenter instead of attempting it ourselves. The handyman assigned to our job did a thorough job of getting it to hang correctly. A couple of caveats: the estimate mentioned using the existing "hardware." I was thinking "handles" only -- and bought new ones when I decided the old door handles were worn. But hardware also includes hinges, etc.-- had I realized that, I probably would have bought new ones of those to use on the job. Also, the door is not flush to the deck due to the squaring off problem mentioned above. Our old door had weather stripping on the bottom -- we now have to figure out how to install that. So, although I have a new door, the project isn't really done. The price above is labor only -- the cost of the door was separate.

I was really happy with Jim's work. He was easy to schedule with, picked up all of the materials I had ordered and was on time. The "big box store" had said I needed an entire new door (to the tune of nearly 1000) but Jim repaired the frame and installed the new door for MUCH less then that. When the original repair didn't quite hold (we had a strong wind that blew the hinge backwards) he came out right away and fixed it at no cost.

Kelly arrived at the very end of the appointment window, but was within the time window given. He was knowledgeable. Answered all of my questions and provided advice on some of the things we wanted done in our house. For example, suggested we look for another company to handle staircase refinishing. I was happy with the consultation. The estimate arrived promptly the next day in an email. Each task was listed separately on the estimate so we could choose how we wanted to proceed. Their availability to do the work was also good (within in a week I believe). We ultimately chose another company simply because of price.

The mirror was hung square and level, tight against the wall. The attachment is solid. The workman was on time and did the job as quickly as could be done.

The handyman that came did an excellent job and was so very nice! He left the site cleaner than when he found it and the quality of his work and attention to detail was very high.

Provider responded a day after my initial contact: Sorry Sir, We just don't handle this type of repair,and we couldn't service you for a few weeks if we did!! Jim Taylor

Roz was great with scheduling and calling to remind me of the appts. She was also very good at meeting my scheduling needs. I have used this service on two different occasions and had Mike each time. I was very pleased with the outcome of both visits. Its great to have a dependable handyman in the area who not only does a good job, but is reasonable and dependable. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again.

Jim is professional and he knows his work. I was concerned that I would need a new door, one without a lock, and a new door jamb. But in fact I did not. He fixed it up and had it looking like new. After that he caulked both of my bathrooms and had them looking shiney also. I will indeed use him again in the future. My wife is already making a new list for him....

They are very prompt and come when they say they are going to come. They do fabulous work, very honest and prompt.

.I have used this company two or three times before and, as usual, they did not disappoint. They are my "Go to handyman". I called and the phone was answered promptly and an appointment date was set for an estimate. Luke came out on time and talked with my husband and said he would send an estimate. We received this a day or two later. We scheduled the appointment for the following week. Luke arrived promptly, removed the old posts and installed the new. He was there most of the day. He did a beautiful job and primed the posts. We also asked him to sand and prime a large middle support beam which was too high for my husband to tackle. He did that and primed it as well. He cleaned up nicely and was very personable. A delight to work with.

He and his team are unmatched. I adore the service I got from his and his team. His wife handles the phone service in the office. She schedules the appointment and they're always on time. He provides the fair estimates. He completes the work with absolute satisfaction.

Jim came in the evening to make an estimate, and came later in the week to do the work. Very punctual, very professional -- work was done quickly and he was very good about protecting the area of any mess and cleaned up behind him. THe office manager Roz was a pleasure to deal with in scheduling and was very matter-of-fact of their work and processes. I would definitely Jim the Handyman for any future projects!

Called Jim's office and they set up an estimate for the next week. They called the day before to remind us about the appointment. Jim came to our home to look at the door before providing the estimate and was able to schedule me for service a few days later. They also called the day before to remind us of the service date. A different guy came out to change the lock (deadbolt and separate knob/handle which we provided) and replace the trim around the door. He did a good job - the new lock works and trim looks good. He provided and replaced the entire strip of trim and not just the damaged section, which made it look much cleaner. We previously hired Jim to hang our TV on the wall and to caulk around our tubs and those have stood up well over several years.
