Jim the Handyman

Very pleased with the work. They are professional, arrive when they say they will and do a wonderful job on cleaning up. I appreciate this very much and highly recommend them.

After an initial inspection, I was provided with two options for the repair. Both options were acceptable fixes for the damaged wood. The suggestions were to either replace the post, or remove the damaged bottom and install a cement base to support the deck. There was about $100 difference in the cost between the two options. It was nice to have a cheaper alternative that I had not even considered. Work was completed and looked great.

Excellent work. Very professional. Also accommodated the need for a second work day because custom ordered shutters had not arrived in time to be installed on first day. Did a good job cleaning up after themselves.

They did an excellent job, very high quality work. They came up with an innovation solution for a unique problem of my dryer vent situation and it was professionally executed . They were very open to questions and was accommodating to my preferences and concerns. They also did a good job of clean after themselves and completed the entire job in one day.

It took a couple days to come out. I thought it was a bit expensive. The guy that came out here was excellent. He did a good job. There was a problem with part of the paint job on one of the walls and I called them and they came right back and fixed it. Quality and service were excellent.

Jim the Handyman is our go-to when we need anything done. No job is too small. They're responsive, reasonable, and dependable. Highly recommended them. You won't be disappointed.

The quote was $380 plus materials so the charges and the quote were consistent. And on the day of the work he purchased an additional $25 of materials which he charged He is experienced. It was by the job and not by the hour and the rates were much lower but these technicians for this company are not licensed electricians and plumbers which Mr Handyman are which resulted in a reasonably higher quote.

I was very pleased with the work they did. He put a lot of time and effort considering their price on the stair rail and I think did a thorough job on the dryer duct cleaning.

Great fabulous work at resetting and painting our deck columns. They come out with a detailed estimates ahead of time. They were very professional and the results are amazing.

Mike came and we walked through the house and I showed him everything that I wanted done. I received an estimate for the work the next day. The following week, Mike came and spent 2 days (as per the estimate) doing the work. Mike is meticulous, organized, and thorough. He covered areas where sanding was going to be done, cleaned up after himself, and had great attention to detail.

Great! Stayed busy, sought additional work to meet time commitment.

He is very honest. No job is too small for them and they are just wonderful.

The service was ok but not as good as I have had before from this provider. The work was scheduled to be between 11 and 1 pm, but on the day of the job I found out the workman was coming between 9 and 11. I kept the appointment but it was not as convenient as I would have liked. The person who did the work was a subcontractor and he had needed to stop and get a new part for his cell phone on the way to my house which caused a delay. I did not know this provider used subcontractors and also was told at the end of the job that he would only take a check, not a credit card. In following up with Jim the Handyman, I felt an email response I got from them was not professional. A mixed experience with scheduling and communication but the work itself was well done.

Once estimate was done and all parts were in it went very quickly to get a work date setup. Excellent work performed by Max and Neil. Max went over list of work to be done before starting. A special order item is pending, but expecting the same excellent service. Like that they change cost for all parts. Have passed their name onto several friends and will be using a their services again.

The guys at Jim the Handyman are professional and do excellent work! We will continue to work with them. No complaints, and every person who worked in and around our home (Michael, Neal, Max) were pleasant, competent and accommodating - ensuring we were happy with every project and making small adjustments to our liking if necessary. Jimena, in the office, is also wonderful to work with (scheduling and coordinating projects/materials). We couldn't be happier with this company. They do it right!

I received an estimate for this job but decided not to use Jim the Handyman's services because I felt it was too expensive. Another handyman gave me an estimate for less than half the price. I have used Jim the Handyman for more jobs than I can remember, and have always thought the prices quoted were very reasonable. The estimator thought this job would be a half day job and quite time intensive. I had a difficult time seeing how it would take a half day to install simple kitchen hardware even if you were being very careful and precise. I have not yet had the other handyman install the hardware, so I will see how it goes, but for less than half the cost, I had no choice. Honestly, for $400, I would have opted to do this particular job myself.

After receiving some photos of my problem, Jim the Handyman promptly provided an upfront total cost estimate (not a by the hour cost) that was fair and reasonable. The job was performed quickly and correctly very shortly afterwards. Very pleased with the responsiveness and quality of the job.

Very well. Kelley arrived on time and was friendly and very professional. The amount charged was exactly what I had been told during the estimate. This handyman service does a free estimate in advance of the jobs. I added on one additional item and Kelley took care of it with no problem and the company gave me $15 off because the first time they had come to my house, it was a hectic day for me, they realized that, and simply wanted to thank me for sticking with the appointment. I couldn't be happier with the work and with finding such a reliable company for a variety of home repairs (they don't do electrical or plumbing but seem to just about everything else).

.Everything was taken care of in a timely manner. The man who worked on everything was very pleasant to have around, and we are glad everything was taken care of. Our railing was falling off, and it was a safety issue so that was done first and is now very sturdy.

Kelly came and immediately got to work. He was professional, took his time to ensure things were lined up, installed correctly, working properly, and cleaned up as the job progressed. He kept evaluating and inspecting his work he went along, and cleaned everything up when he was done. When it was totally installed he took the time to do a final overall inspection of it all to ensure all operated correctly and smoothly before he asked for our inspection and approval. We are very pleased with the results of his efforts.

Jim the Handyman recently installed a new exterior front door and some interior door trim for my home. Top notch service. Like all of the houses in this neighborhood, ours was built in the 1960's so there is always something that needs repair or replacement. We will definitely call Jim the Handyman before anyone else.

Michael came out once to look at the job we were requesting and took several measurements. We received an estimate within 48 hours. I decided to have the old door removed and the new one installed. Michael arrived promptly on the agreed upon date and within the time window promised. Michael did a great job despite some challenges in removing the old pocket door. The new door looks great and we are glad to have the old pocket door out of our lives. Michael cleaned up the area very nicely and other than the new door you would never know he was there! I would highly recommend Jim the Handyman's services especially if Michael can come out and do the work for you.

Absolutely amazing and would recommend these guys to anyone. Very professional and extremely good price. I can't even see where they repaired my dry wall, no matter how hard I try!

It took 12 days for Jim the Handyman to provide an estimate, only after I called them. They quoted only drywall, fiberglass installation and recommended that I have the window and electrical work provided by someone else? if I had know this 11 days ago so I could have contracted someone else. :(

I really liked the professional way my first contact answered the phone and talked me through the job so that she could give an estimate on the work before it was scheduled. It enable the man who came to have the correct supplies for the job. The guy who did the work was nice and professional as well. It's only been a couple of weeks, but I'm not expecting any problems.
