Submitted Request for repair on October 23, 2017. It is now December 1 and the microwave still isn't fixed. Called assigned service tech two weeks in a row and did not receive call back. Called HMS for remedy, haven't even received a call back with an update from HMS within the past week. Hold times to speak to a representative take at least 20-30 min. Biggest waste of money. There are other home warranty companies that are less expensive, more responsive and have a lower deductible.

This company consistently refuses to honor my contract that clearly states all breaks of pipes in the perimeter of the home are covered. This warranty is not worth what it cost. Moreover, it took one month and one service provider's visit before the company told me this. It shouldn't take one month of leading me on before figuring out something isn't covered.

Unfortunately, HMS did not honor, what I view as their contractual obligation - to repair a mechanical failure in a pipe during the warranty period. Instead, HMS stated that the pipe had failed due to "corrosion" and that "corrosion" is not a mechanical failure. So, the contractor they sent out walked away with my $100 deductible, and I am left with a hole in my wall and the phone book to use to find a plumber who can repair what HMS chose not to.

WE'VE HAD TO CALL ON THEM SEVERAL TIMES FOR APPLIANCES THAT WENT OUT. IT DEPENDS ON YOUR CONTRACT, BUT WE HAD A $100 DEDUCTIBLE PER ISSUE. FOR THE MOST PART THEY WERE OK TO WORK WITH, BUT I WOULD GIVE THEM ANY OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARDS. WE HAD TO SQUABBLE A BIT OVER TWO ISSUES: COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF OUR WATER HEATER AND REPLACEMENT OF OUR COOK TOP.
Description of Work: HMS PROVIDED THE HOME WARRANTY FOR OUR NEWLY PURCHASED HOUSE.
