Fast Maid Service

This is going to be a mixed review. I am pleased with the actual cleaning job and I think the two ladies that came did a superb job, especially considering how dirty the house was (I'm house-sitting and needed the house to be in a livable condition for myself). Based on the job they did and their efficiency, I would definitely hire them again. They even had time to make a cute little origami shape with the tissues and I know they were working hard to get the service done on time. I even paid them to stay an extra half hour because there just wasn't enough time to get everything done. The mixed review is more about the management. I feel positive in one way, because the manager Omar resolved a conflict. I feel very disappointed in another because the conflict should have been avoided. FYI: Fast Maid Service does not provide a confirmation email if you are a one-time client, unlike another service I had booked. The situation: I called Fast Maid Service on a Friday and was starting the booking process. When we got to the date and time, I said I needed to call them back because they could not accommodate the date I actually wanted, which was "the next day" on Saturday. I ended up finding another service off Angie's List that was cheaper than Fast Maid for the same amount of time. They also couldn't do Saturday, but I figured I could wait until Monday for the price. I paid for the service via Angie's List and received my confirmation email with all the details of what we had talked about on the phone. Come Monday, two ladies knock on my door with their cleaning supplies. I get out of their way and go on my computer, only to find out that the service I had actually booked and paid for was "running late". I talked on the phone to that service's manager to realize that his people are definitely not cleaning my home. So, I go downstairs and see that Fast Maid Service is parked in front of my house. I called Fast Maid Service and asked why they were there if I didn't book. Immediately the person I talked to got very aggressive with me telling me, "Why do they have all my information if I didn't book it." I said, "Because I never confirmed a date and time. I said I had to call back." He kept insisting that I said I was going to purchase it off Angie's List and that they are accustomed to clients not buying it until after the cleaning. He insisted that I definitely knew what I was doing and that there was no error on the companies side and that I should have cancelled. I was perplexed. How could I have cancelled if I didn't even know this service was scheduled. I tried to de-escalate the situation by saying that we don't need to get angry with each other, but the person on the other line was very insistent. I suggested that I could pay what I was going to pay the other company. He was relentless in repeating that I let the ladies in my house and how didn't I notice their company shirts and that they are cleaning my house and I have to pay (Which I wasn't arguing that fact. I planned on paying someone! I just had budgeted for a different price with a different company). I then said I'm going to talk to Angie's List and got off the phone. A few minutes later I called them back and left a message that I would just pay for the whole service, but that I would like them to understand that this is not my fault and I would have gladly corrected the situation had I know that this was scheduled. Honestly- I never agreed to a date and time with them because I really had wanted a Saturday service. The manager, Omar, called me back and politely asked how he could help me. I explained what happened and he said, "OK, how much were you going to pay the other company". He agreed to match their amount. He then explained that they don't give confirmation emails to one time clients, but that is something they will look into after this experience. Like I said, their employees were prompt and worked very hard. They did an excellent job. To be honest, I'm not sure if I would PERSONALLY hire them again- mostly because I had felt like I developed a relationship with the other company. But, when Omar explained what it would look like if I hired them on a regular basis, I was interested in learning more because it sounded like a good deal and I would have the same cleaners whenever they would come. I really liked the ladies that came to my house. I'm big on relationships, so knowing that the same ladies would come sounded very attractive to me. I actually don't need regular house-cleaning at the moment, but the more I think about it, I would definitely consider Fast Maid Service to be a regular service based on the two ladies that cleaned my house. I would say that my experience is a-typical and hopefully Omar will talk to the other man about being a little bit nicer to clients. It was really awful feeling berated, especially when I was very confused by how this happened.

They did a great job and even tidied up a bit, changed the sheets and such. Overall I was happy with their service. I wasn't originally aware that they wouldn't do the exterior pane of windows that folded into the house so I had to arrange another vendor for that work.

A team of 2 women came to my house for a total of 6 hours. During that time, they cleaned my kitchen, master bed and bath, and changed the linens on all beds in the house. These women deep cleaned - they worked harder than any other folks that I have had clean my home. I was so impressed that I hired them to clean on a weekly basis.

Great experience! Thee maids came at exactly the time we agreed to and did everything I asked in the 3 hour timeframe. I felt the house got a deeper cleaning than some other cleaners that I have used. This company exceeds expectations. I will use Fast Maids again.

The cleaning staff is actually pretty good, but one of the schedulers is very difficult to work with, enough so that I'm looking to use other cleaning companies from now on. Also note that they don't call ahead of time to let you know the team is on its way.

They did a great job the first time and every time thereafter it just seems like they cared a little less. More and more stuff would be moved and not put back when they were finished. The final straw was when I contacted them a day or so before the cleaning and asked them to not put the trash in the backyard (which they had done previously) because I don't have a can and wild animals get into it. They still put it out there so I had a mess to clean up from the animals and then spent way too much time putting stuff back where it belonged.

Two cleaners came for 3 hours. They arrived just within the arrival window and got right to work and finished exactly on time. I did not point out anything particular to them. I knew beforehand that the fridge smelled bad and there were rusty stains along the bath tile - both of these problems were remedied after Fast Maids left. The house smelled fresh and surfaces were clean. Would definitely hire again.

No problemo. None at all. Punctual, professional, and thorough. I use the deals on the website, so about $120 for two hours and $150 for three.

They were able to reply promptly, quote me a fair price, sell me the hours via Angie's List (big plus) and performed the work within the time allotted and with an exceptional result. I was referred to them by another member and am thrilled with the result. I would hire them again.

Sam was able to schedule me less than 2 days later. I was given a 30-minute arrival window, and was even tipped off that the maids would most likely arrive on the earlier side of that window. The maids were right on time and did an amazing job. Because I wasn't around when the cleaning was scheduled, Sam also kindly agreed to give me a call right before the maids arrived, and when they were finished, so I could have a neighbor open/lock the door. I really like the upfront and transparent pricing with the cleaning packages available for purchase. No need to schedule separate appointments for estimates. I highly recommend this company and will use them any time that I need cleaning services in the future.

Fast Maid Service was amazing. First, scheduling is simple and quick. The team was prompt in their arrival, thorough with their work, and pleasant (even when perhaps they should have been put out!). For example, I unexpectedly had some construction running over, and they worked around the mess - and then cleaned it until it shined. I've hired several cleaning companies since moving to the DMV area and none measured up. Given my past experience, I was skeptical of the level of service Fast Maid Service would provide, but when they left, I was overjoyed. I'm looking forward to seeing them for regular cleanings.

The employees were patient and kind despite the fact that I lost track of time and was late getting home to let them in. Th house was quite messy after a busy holiday season. They went over and beyond. The place is spotless and they employees were kind and warm throughout the visit. I will definitely use this service from here.

2 cleaners for 1 hour (purchased the 2-hour service) but the result was like a huge team had cleaned my house. They carefully lifted items in order to clean under as opposed to around. Will hire again!

They did an excellent job of cleaning everything.

Everything was Fast, prompt, nice, and pleasing. They came within a day of scheduling, very professional ladies, cleaned everything spic and span, left house smelling so nice (and NOT bleach and chemicals like some other cleaning companies), and were very fast in cleaning also. I had scheduled for 6 hours but they finished entire townhouse in 5. Very happy with everything. Thank you very much.

The two ladies did an excellent job cleaning my house. Aft first they didn't think that they could clean my house within the 3 hour allocated time, and they seemed surprised when I told them that my regular cleaning lady had been taking 3 hours tops to clean my house biweekly. I did however, picked up ahead of time so they didn't have to spend time picking up, and I emptied out most of the trash bins. I asked them to concentrate on dusting because that was my main concern since I had Asthma. They did excellent job dusting! They dusted and vacuumed areas that my regular cleaning lady normally doesn't do like under the beds, wood railing, or window sills. They also moved items off the table tops and dressers and thoroughly dusted. Very pleased with their service!

They did not have any appointments for over a month but showed dates available within the week when you purchase service. They are not very fast.

They did an excellent job. Sara and Barb arrived on time and prepared. They worked very quickly and effectively and had the house cleaned from top to bottom in 2.5 hours. They were friendly and helpful, and just did a first class job.
