Services we don't offer
Although we have the talent and experience and aspirations to one day build custom homes, at this time, we are not.
David Levy and his team designed and built a front porch for our home. David was always responsive to our calls and questions and prompt in getting back to us. We didn't have a very detailed concept for our porch but he and his designer, Karl Schaefer, provided us with a great sketch with various options for materials to be used that we were happy with and stayed within our budget. The crew were hardworking - pleasant, on-time, courteous, and they always cleaned up after the end of the day. David was usually on site as well to oversee the team. We appreciated his expertise and insight on the building process - he always kept us informed along the way. We love our porch as do all of our neighbors. David was approached by many of the neighbors and was very respectful and courteous in responding to their questions about the work he and his team were doing. I would hire David and his team again and may do so for future projects.

Stickler for perfection. It was excellent. He is very knowledgeable on the subject. His has a background in design, and gave us many options, and he had great fine detail work. He is very trustworthy, and he was very comfortable with our dog. Very satisfied with his craftsmanship. He kept me notified when the county was doing the desk imspection, and asked if I wanted to be there.

Description of Work: David Levy has done several small projects at our home (garage storage design, basement finishing). He is a conscientious, reliable, creative, and talented professional. We only wish we had a bigger project for him to do!

Now, we have a small bathroom with a WOW factor. Family, friends and neighbors who have seen the before and after all comment that they can't believe it is the same bathroom. Many ask who did the work and ask for a referral because it has inspired them to tackle their own bathroom renovations. We know David has gotten at least one bathroom remodeling job on referral from someone who saw our bathroom. David and I worked so well together on the job - as general contractor and designer, we decided to start working together. We have found that we are a great team - as evidenced by this bathroom and on the jobs that we have done together since.
Description of Work: We bought our house in 1999 and the bathroom was outdated already. A few plumbing issues and ten years later, it was in desperate need of a renovation. We (my wife and I) designed the layout and began researching tile, etc. Since I am an interior designer, my wife is a pretty talented amateur decorator and we both have experience in light construction, we enjoy doing our own renovations. We did our own kitchen when we were first married and designed our own addition (doubled the square footage of our home), but at this point we had 3 kids, so we wanted to hire a general contractor that we trusted to keep our very high standards but not put us into debt doing it. I suggested to my wife that we call David Levy. I have known David most of my life, and I am very familiar with this work. David gave us a very good price to do the work; in no small part because he was comfortable with my design abilities (i.e. he wouldn't have to worry about a lot of changes to the job due to poor planning). We really appreciated the work David did. Beyond the craftsmanship of the finished product, David was also careful in our home and very laid back about the noise from kids and dogs. When we opened up the walls, David spotted some poor plumbing work done by a previous contractor before we bought the home. He got it fixed right away, saving us from a lot of pain of a burst pipe later. Even though we have a small bathroom, there was A LOT of tile work on this job. We had designed it to have one wall 3/4 full of glass tile including a mosaic strip as well as white ceramic tile walls in the bath tub - subway tiles and square tiles in a pattern to mimic the glass tiles. David was very careful and detail oriented in his tilework. A real craftsman. He also had a couple of subcontractors who were equally skilled, professional and concerned about quality work.
