 + -1 moreJim showed up with his truck and chipper at the appointed time on Saturday afternoon. He explained what he planned to do and made sure that he understood how much of the tree I wanted trimmed. He climbed the tree and carefully made the cuts so as to protect the cedar tree and the bushes nearby on the ground. He cleaned up the trimmings and the yard and driveway, leaving no trace of his work. He also answered several questions I had about the trees in my yard. Thoroughly professional work. I'll be calling him the next time I need tree work.
Description of Work: I had a large elm tree that was growing into a cedar tree and wanted a branch of the elm tree removed. I called my usual tree contractor and got a bid, then contacted Family Tree Care. Jim (the owner) answered the phone and offered to come to my house the next day for an estimate. He showed up on time and provided an estimate that was slightly better than the other contractor.

Description of Work: Family Tree Service Incorporated got rid of all of the shrubbery. He got rid of the roots and stumps. He totally gutted the yard to get it ready for landscaping.

 + -1 moreWent great! Crew spent about 2 1/2 days for all that needed to be done. First crew came in and cut trees, root grinding occurred later on, as weather permitted. Later, as I was working in the beds and filling in holes, I found a shrub root and a large Holly top root that had been covered with soil from the grinding, contacted Jim and he happily returned and removed these. My landlord has used Family Tree for several years and will continue to use them!!
Description of Work: Removed large holly that was almost as tall as the 2 story house, removed approximately 20 shrubs - ground stumps and roots, of all plants removed. Trimmed 5 or 6 large trees around yard to provide 7-8 feet of clearance from house and removed all dead or dying limbs. Had chipper to also take care of the plant debris. I think he is willing to give the chipped up tree to the homeowner free of charge. I opted not to have the root holes filled, as landscaping is to follow the tree removal.

 + -1 moreArrived on time, very professional, and cleaned up all limbs. I cleaned up the excavation from the grinding of the stumps, but they had done it in the past. Free estimates, can't beat his prices. My neighbor got an estimate to remove 4 shrubs and they did that while at my house. They worked 7am-5pm first day and 11-5pm the second day.
Description of Work: Removed tree and ground stump. Removed low shrubs across the front, holly that had grown to 25, burning bush that had grown to 15. Removed 5 dead shrubs, 3 leggy thorn shrubs, 2 junipers and ground all stumps and suckers. Trimmed 7 large trees to ensure 7-8 clearance from house.
