I was very pleased with the quality of the work. You can't see where the carpet was replaced. The seams don't even show. It was a small job replacing a 2 ft x 5 ft section of carpet, but it was extremely well done. Everyone that I dealt with at the office and the repairman: all were very professional. I would use their services again and will definitely consider going to their shop when I have any kind of flooring installed in the future.

The man who measured assisted us in making a selection based on our criteria. They removed the old padding and carpeting and and professionally installed the new. They also bound the remnants.

It seemed to be doomed from the start. Originally, I stopped by the company office and explained the need to have the carpet replaced in advance of the sale of my townhouse. I was told that I would be contacted for a visit to determine the size of the job. Nothing for several weeks. Again, I went in person and inquired, where I found the request in a pile of other documents. The person I spoke with, Matt, said he would stop by that day. He did so, provided a written estimate, and we agreed on a date for the installation. The installation occurred as promised. When the job was completed, I noticed differences in the color of the carpet in the hall and two of the bedrooms. I sent an email asking for someone to contact me. Nothing. Again, I stopped by the office, and was told that there was a miscommunication. He came by at some point after the visit, checked the problem, and asked if I would like a partial refund. I said yes, and he said he would contact me. Nothing. I called today, spoke to Matt, and was told that he thought my issue had been addressed. He promised to send a check for $150. I selected this provider based on the numerous positive reviews. It was a tremendous disappointment, to say the least. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.

In addition to their quick response, they were extremely polite and professional. The installers came when they said they would and their work was excellent. I would definitely use them again. I got their name from a friend who used them to install flooring in her basement.

The installation job went flawlessly. The installers showed up when promised and did the work quickly and professionally, leaving no dust or other residue behind. I thought that was the end of it until a manufacturer's defect showed up on the tile a few months later. The product was "Duraceramic," by Congoleum and a little bit of the surface was flaking off in a couple of places. Fairfax Floors quickly sent someone to look at the problem, then promptly scheduled an installer to come out and replace the offending tiles. Again, the workers showed up on time and finished the job quickly. Customer service couldn't be any better than this.

I am finishing my basement by myself and thought I needed to self-level the concrete floor, I have a few bumps in it. I called to see if I could hire Fairfax Floors for the work. He explained how to solve the problem, I'm confident in what he told me and another estimate I got for $1500 is some money I can use on something else. I appreciate the honesty and the helpfulness!

Had a very good experience the the salesroom where we were shown various products. They had one product that we really liked so we chose it. The estimate was done promptly and pleasantly as was scheduling the installation. While the installation went well and the floor looks fine, I must give the company a less than perfect score due to the attitude of the installer. He must have had a bad day because he was barely civil and clearly wanted to be elsewhere -- hence his less than professional approach to his job. Other than that -- a good job.

I worked with Mike at Fairfax Floors. He was very professional. He answered all our questions and provided an estimate. We had him stretch carpet in one room. They were prompt and the carpet looks great.

They did an excellent job. Installers worked quickly and helped when my husband asked them to wait after pulling up the old carpet so he could nail down some of the subflooring to fix squeaky areas.

The vinyl crew came on Monday and installed the new vinyl. They were here half a day and it looks great. The carpet crew came on Tuesday. They moved all of the furniture out of the dining room and removed the old and installed the new in there first. Then they moved all of the furniture into the dining room and kitchen and removed the old carpet and pad in the living room, the stairs and the upstairs hall and installed the new pad and carpet. They were here all day, and found they didn't have enough carpet edging, so one of the crew came back on Wednesday to complete the edging around the vinyl at the front door. The new carpet looks great and I am so pleased. I would use them again when I am ready to empty the bedrooms upstairs for new carpet. Reuben did an excellent job meeting the old carpet upstairs to the new carpet in the hall.

I am delighted with both the quality of workmanship and the carpeting installed. The carpet installed was recommended by Kevin at Fairfax Floors as a good match for my basement. The installers arrived on time and were very professional. I received several estimates and found working with Fairfax Floors to be seamless. I will highly recommend Fairfax Floors to my family and friends!

The install went well. The crew showed up on time and were very professional. They clearly knew what they were doing and worked very efficiently. The carpet looks great.

The estimate was timely and the estimator was fine. I am still going to get another couple of quotes.

Experience was great from start to finish, my husband contacted Fairfax Floors on Thursday, 4/18, Mike was there to measure Friday 4/19 and carpet was installed on Friday 4/26. Service was quick and professional and very reasonably priced.

They were on time for the installation and measurement, and responsive to phone calls and questions. I had 2 other companies do estimates, and fairfax floors was the lowest and their staff was by far the most professional. They even rescheduled quickly when there was a weather issue that delayed getting the work done.

The sales representative was very helpful when we visited the store. As we knew we wanted different types of carpets for the two different stairways, he helped us understand the differences in materials and wear-resistance of several different types of carpet selections. He even allowed us to take home very large sample boards to see if the colors and designs matched our decor at home. We particularly wanted the first-second story runner to complement the oriental rug at the bottom of the stairs and we wanted the basement stairs runner to match the color that the stairs are painted. Once we had made our selection, he visited, measured, and followed up promptly with an estimate. On the day of the installation, the workers were prompt, friendly, and very professional. Our main stairs are an unconventional width and the workers were concerned that they had brought the wrong carpet and even called the store. I assured them that we had intentionally picked the width that left less wood exposed (instead of the width that left too much exposed, including some damaged wood). The workers also consulted me about different ways to tack down the runners, each way making the stairs look a little different. I really appreciated that, instead of having them just decide on their own. The workers were in and out of the house frequently for one reason or another and were always very careful not to let the cats out. The two men also were very concientious about cleaning as they went along, leaving the areas immaculate when they left. Finally, they left a quite large role of leftover carpet from the basement stair runner for us to keep. When the job was done, we didn't even have to pay right away. The company billed us.

I wanted some nice looking, durable but inexpensive carpeting for my basement stairs. the pattern and color of the carpet had to complement very different decorating schemes at the top and bottom of these basement stairs. The salesman, Ken Galentine, could not have been more helpful, even though this was a relatively minor purchase. And the installer, Alex, did a terrific job on the installation, despite several challenges posed by the less than optimal construction quality of the basement stairs. The result looks perfect and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Fairfax Floors.

The selection of carpets were very wide. They were very responsive in coming out and giving an estimate and they were very quick and efficient to finish the installation which looks very good. Their price was very competitive.

The representative that I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable. Service was prompt and professional. After the installation Fairfax Floors followed up with a call to ask me how the service was. I thought that was a nice touch. Not many companies do that anymore.

We were very pleased with Mike Madill and his crew at Fairfax floors. The hardwood installer was especially efficient. All materials were cleaned up nicely, and although noisy, the work was performed to our satisfaction and on time. We felt the prices were very competitive with other installers in the region and their responsiveness and assistance in helping us pick materials was excellent. Would use them again.

. Their initial visit was quick and their people are friendly and knowledgeable. The installation was similar to what we had before. The carpet is in great shape, the price was right and overall they did great for us. I think that overall it was good. He was able to match what we were looking for and we exceeded our expectations.

Visited their showroom on Saturday, February 2nd in the afternoon. There was only one other customer looking at samples, but zero employees to be seen. After spending about 5 minutes browsing, I realized that the one employee that was on premise (or at least the only one I could actually see) was in his office just off the main showroom floor. I walked past the office to another room just so he would know I was there (even though a bell went off when we entered), and then walked back to the main carpet area. Nothing. Spent another five minutes or so browsing and talking with my wife about the samples. The place is quite small so there is no way that he could not have heard us or known we were there. He then walked out of his office down a hallway, then back into his office. Not a single word to us...hello, welcome, I'll be right with you....nothing. In that same time period the other woman had not been spoken to either. He was not in his office with any customers. Wow. Completely stumped. Lots of good reviews and "service awards" on Angies list which is why we choose to visit this business. Though, I see there was another recent "F" grade by another customer who was not responded to. This makes #2. Perhaps it's the tipping point for a business on its way out. Perhaps it's simply roulette who gets good service and who doesn't. Luckily, we visited another shop where customer service was absolutely top notch. Better options are out there. I'd highly recommend giving them your business rather than wasting a part of saturday going here.

When he came out to measure and provide and estimate, he offered several different options for how they could install carpet on existing brick and provide the pros/cons of each. We visited the store probably 5 different times to look at samples and colors and take home different samples. And they never judged us for taking such a long time to make a decision. Once we placed the order, it took about 10 days until installation. Two installers did all the work (including the furniture moving) in about 3 hours - very professional. And Matt was kind enough to deliver the bound remnant piece when it was completed (even though I said I would pick it up at the store!). This is the second time we have used this company and would definitely use them again. Our only wish is that they did tiling as well!

Mr. Balentine was very helpful and followed up before and after the work was performed. He coordinated with me and my tenants seamlessly. The quality of the carpet was good, the price was good (about $50 higher than my insurance estimate), and the service was performed quickly and well done.
