Description of Work: Frig/freezer was running but not cold. Sunny came 3x because it seemed to work fine every time he came. He did not charge extra and gave me my Angie's list discount when we finally replaced the defrost thingy. Now the freezer works fine.

Description of Work: They responded to my call, came out for evaluation within 24 hours and provided an estimate. They immediately ordered the part and when it came in the next day and they came out and replaced the defective part on the dishwasher (fromt touch panel defective).

Description of Work: Bj just visited us and did a great job on our house. He was friendly and professional and took care of a broken ice maker and dishwasher in under an hour. Total cost $438. And I can report now that I have ice!

Description of Work: Requested service from Expert Appliance for my GE refrigerator that had stopped dispensing ice from the door. They were very knowledgable and first attempted the repair with the least amount of costs. Basically the motor that pushes the ice out the dispenser continued to freeze. Expert Appliance replaced the motor, the control board...and when that didn't work, the defrost system. Unfortunately none of the repair attempts worked...but Expert Appliance refunded everything I had paid! Can you believe that?! Unheard of! Expert Appliciance will be our go-to company for future service needs. Highly recommend!

Description of Work: Our Kenmore dryer would not heat. I trouble shot the system as best I could, using a IDY manual and volt meter to check the controls. I talked with a parts store about my observations and tried to apply their insight without success. Most applicance repair services that I looked up weren't open on weekends, but through Angie's List I found that Expert Applicance Services was. The technician arrived within three hours of my call, listened to what I had done, confirmed most of my earlier work and quickly found that a component I had over looked was at fault. He had the part in his vehicle and the dryer was up and running in under 20 minutes. The technician also shared his knowledge of likely future problems. Cost was a fraction of the prices quoted by a usual repair source, and far more timely.

Description of Work: I contact Expert Appliance Services to get an estimate torepair my microwave. They advised that it was better to get a new one rather putting money into repairing. I was happy they were honest with me.

Description of Work: My washing machine started leaking water from below with a full load inside. What a mess, the worst case scenario for a washer. And it was Labor Day weekend. Nobody I called even answered the phone. Scouring all the reports on Angie's List, I noticed some comments about this company working even on Sunday. I figured I had to try them out since they got good reviews and they were willing to work on Sunday. Rather unbelievably, the guy showed up at my house on LABOR DAY morning! He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it for $150, which included the service call. The service call fee applied toward the repair and he did not charge me extra for coming over on a holiday. I was very grateful, not only for the great price but the excellent repair. My washer is working like new now. He also told me why it broke and what to do about it in the future (don't do such big loads). Overall, this is the best experience I've ever had with an appliance repair company. If ever spending $150 to repair something can make you happy, this was it. UPDATE -- Summer of 2012: Based on my positive experience before, I called them this summer for repairs on several other appliances. Strangely, they never called me back. I left two voicemail messages, both to no avail. I thought I should mention this to balance out my comments from the previous experience. UPDATE -- September 2014 I have used Expert Appliance Services at least three other times in several different properties since the last time I reviewed them in Angie's List in the summer of 2012. I have to say, they have won me over again. Each time I call, they return my call promptly and quickly schedule appointments. Do you know the feeling when a major household appliance is not working? Well, Expert Appliance Services must, because they try their best to make the service call as soon as possible, even on weekends. What I love about this company is that the person doing the work is the proprietor, and he really cares about the quality of his work and taking care of his customer at a reasonable price. I will write off the 2012 experience (see above) as an anomaly because they have been perfect ever since then. If I could give an A+ for their work in the past year or so, I would. Also, I recently had a question about an appliance that I wound up not repairing (bought new). Even though there was no financial incentive to do so, Expert Appliance Services still took the time to answer all my questions about how to turn off the gas stove and then later, how to relight the pilot. I believe they are now consistently on their A game, and I highly recommend them for appliance repair work.

Description of Work: Our dishwasher would not turn on; Repair Man fixed the problem - door switch was lose so he tightened and advised if it did happen again we might need to replace it altogether which would cost $170

Description of Work: This company is highly reconnded. Service turned out to be a very simple repair, but technician was timely, professional, and instructed me on how to fix problem if it occurred again. I called Expert for aproblem with my oven not heating. I plan to use this company in the future for any needed repairs.

Description of Work: They were able to schedule a tech to come to my home within 2 hours of calling. The tech's estimate was $289 to fix my 25 year old dryer. He clearly laid out the pros and cons of fixing such an old dryer, and earned my trust. While I decided not to repair the dryer, I will definitely call them first the next time I need an appliance repaired.
