Econize Closets and Blinds

Eco-Nize was outstanding. I discovered them at this years Home Show and knew instantly they were going to be the company of choice. Noel Sweeney came to our house and quickly provided design sketches and pricing on our custom design wardrobe style closet. Out of the three companies we priced they were the middle price, but by far the better quality product. Their were no secrets as to what we were going to get for the finished product. Both Noel and Paul were very responsive in the design, estimating and installation process. They showed up when they said they would show up and they were professional in every way possible. I would highly recommend Eco-Nize and will definitely be using them again in the future.

I found Eco-Nize through Angie's List, and I'm so glad that I did! My project was ambitious and a bit unusual. I wanted to convert a bedroom into a closet. The former bedroom closet would become a shoe closet, with the doors removed. The rest of the former bedroom would become a home for my clothes and -- here's the challenging part -- my wigs and boas. I was looking not only for storage solutions, but also for an attractive, fun display. Noel was engaging, professional, and creative. He worked with me on several design alternatives -- with and without an island, with and without drawers, different heights for the different components, and different placements for those components. For each variation, he sent me color diagrams with measurements and pricing. Most importantly, he designed an attractive and prominent display for my wigs. On either side of the room's center window, there is a line of shelves from floor to ceiling, each shelf sized to fit a mannequin head with a wig. All along the top of that wall, above the window and to each side, is a long shelf for more mannequin heads with wigs. Basically, the wigs are arranged in lines similar to the symbol for pi (the mathematical constant), with the window in the center. Below the window are two drawers, the top of which serves as a bench. The boas are displayed on the opposite wall, draped over hooks. It was Noel's idea to leave the center window uncovered. I'd originally planned to have all three windows hidden behind clothes. The remaining window makes a nice focal point -- and it's sometimes nice to look outside, even from a closet room. Noel's business partner, Paul, arrived with his assistants to install the closet. They were punctual and were a joy to work with, even when faced with unexpected problems. My shutters were supposed to have been installed earlier that day, but when the window people had arrived, they realized that some of the shutters were missing and would have to be installed much later. Paul worked with them to figure out how the shutters could be installed after the closet had been built. Paul also explained options and asked my preference in several circumstances when decisions had to be made -- e.g, whether to remove unseen trim to create larger drawers. I'm very happy with the closet, though I should have taken Noel's advice to include a column of drawers. The two drawers beneath the window aren't enough. I'm planning to have Noel and Paul add the drawers when they come back to do work on one or two of my smaller closets.

I was very impressed. They are going to provide us with an electronic schematic of what the room would look like. I am looking forward to seeing that. The gentleman had some car trouble the first time we had made an appointment and they couldn’t reach me since I had stepped out. They were really good about following up. I appreciated their thoroughness.

When considering who to hire to do this project, we first of all thought of Econize, but also thought we'd consider others. One of the 'others' who I won't mention, turned out to be selling the same kind of product Econize was. (We didn't know it when we went.) So, my husband and I made an appointment and explained our needs to the other company. Towards the end of the meeting I was trying to explain a certain look I was trying to get in my library/office and in no time the guy became oppositional, short and mean with me because he didn't understand what I was describing. (?!red flag!?) Bottom line was that the "other company" came in at a lower price than Econize, but at every turn the 'other company" wanted more money for tiny things I thought were clearly included and it was just ugly to deal with them (him). At Econize, you can expect Noel to listen to you and consider what your needs are as far as use and style. He shows you many pictures and examples and really wants to understand what YOU are trying to accomplish. I would recommend Econize to anyone!

The beginning of my project was first to check Angie's List for possible companies to perform the work. I was very interested in Eco-Nize Closets based upon their reviews. From there, I called Noel Sweeney and soon had an appointment. The design process (after several revisions) and installation could not have gone any smoother. Noel Sweeney is a wonderful man and so easy to work with. I found Noel to be patient, organized and prompt with commitments he made and knew I had chosen the right company for us. All appointments and the installation were on schedule as promised. The closet installers were in and out with little mess (on a rainy day) and again great to have in your house on a rainy day (shoes were removed upon entry into the house). For me, there is no question...I will call Noel for the next closet renovation.

After receiving quotes from a couple of closet companies we selected Econize based on the very professional way they handled themselves from the initial appointment and proposal all the way to completion of the work and follow-up. Trent Hillaert was our main contact and he was super. I like the 3D views they provided in their proposal. After receiving their proposal I got very busy with a move and told Trent I need to wait a couple of weeks before making a decision because my time was tied-up in dealing with bigger construction and punch-list issues with my general contractor, and he was totally fine with that. The other closet company took the opposite tack, trying high-pressure techniques such as offering discounts if I act right away (discounts are great but not when tied to pressure tactics) and finally leaving me voice mails saying they would dispose of my file if I didn't act right away. I quickly scratched the other closet company off my list. I went through several design iterations with Econize before we settled on a final design, and they were good about offering suggestions and making adjustments. We set an appointment for the installation and their guys showed up on time and cleaned up after. They were also good about coming back for some touchup work to replace a damaged piece and add a couple of shelves that we decided to incorporate after the install.

Trent was punctual & thorough in outlining the work, style and needs for our space. He sent us 3-4 different layouts based on our feedback. We could've had more space for one section but Trent made adjustment to better it and his service was top notch.

I learned about Eco-Nize at a Home Show in Maryland in 2009. Noel was an absolute delight to work with . As stated above, Eco-Nize built two custom closets and a media center for my home. Although these custom built closets were expensive, I absolutely love the end result products that they have provided in my home and would highly recommend their services.

This is our second job with Eco-Nize. I have been supremely happy with everything they have done for us. It was because of their professionalism in every aspect of their business that we chose to use them again. Noel is a great listener and has wonderful ideas. He understands his product and has good creative ideas. They are punctual, and they leave everything as they found it, down to the last detail. I recommend them without hesitation. We have two other projects that we have started planning with them.

Trent with the company met with us and discussed our needs and budget. Later he gave few designs and options and that helped us to choose, what was best for us. After the schedule they started their work on time and completed on time and they were excellent.

They seemed to be the best fit for us. He was great. He really worked with us as we made several changes. He had a lot of good ideas to fit our needs. We had a very good experience working with Eco-nize. Trent Hillaert, my main contact, was very professional, punctual and reliable. Noel Sweeney, the owner, called me prior to Trent coming out to our place for the initial meeting, to introduce himself, get to know our needs and to give me a sense of their pricing. When Trent came to our home, he asked me about what we need (sort of clothing inventory --- how much space for hanged, folded clothes, etc.) and showed me samples of their products' finishes as well as hardware just so he could have a design done with specifications of the finishes. Trent came back quickly with two proposals, giving us options (standard vs. hutch) for purposes of need and budget. Trent also coordinated with our contractor, who later built the framing of the closets, to make sure that the design of the closet would work, and it did. The guys who installed our closets were professional as well. They worked quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up after the work was done. I would recommend Eco-nize to my friends, and if I need some more closets in the future, I will call them again.

Overall the experience with ECO-NIZE was a very pleasant one and we recommend their service without a doubt.

I searched companies on the Internet to install some cabinets in a basement room. I got a good indication of the quality of work from Internet reviews. I filled out the Internet request for the company to contact me. Trent contacted me quickly and then we got the ball rolling. I have to admit I didn't price compare but then again, I didn't see anybody offering the really neat "garage" type cabinet that I had installed. It's absolutely perfect for storing really large, bulky items inside your home (when you don't have a garage). See services performed for details. Excellent job overall.

Responded to my call and came to the house quickly. Spent the time to work out the layout and was prompt with the installation. Everything was cleaned up and installed properly. No complaints at all!

I got several estimates and Econize's price was fairly competitive, but Noel was far and away the most likable person that came out to give estimates, and he walked us through everything, including giving us a few suggestions that we hadn't though about. We had to re-schedule the install due to an issue with a different contractor, and they were very accomodating. Every single person who has walked into the room tells me how amazing it looks and how they wish they could do the same thing. A job very very well done

We have an old house that didn't have any closet space. Noel looked at the bedroom and designed a great closet that utilizes available space. He gave us great options and helped lead us through the process. The he set a date for installation and was punctual and profession in completing the project.

This is my second experience with Econize Closets. Noel Sweeney is very receptive and worked with me to get the exact system I was looking for. The work was scheduled within 2 weeks of signing the contract. Mike and Jack - the installers arrived on time, were careful to protect my kitchen and installed the system quickly. I cannot get over how much more space for storage I have. I will use Econize again soon.

Noel is a consummate professional. He knows his product completely and is able to maximize it's full potential. He was able to help us identify exactly what we needed in a master bedroom closet, and design what has proven to be the perfect space, that is not only extremely functional, but beautiful as well. We have no need for dressers because of the level of organization in our closet. The closet system we purchased was part of a larger bedroom remodel, and Noel clearly communicated exactly what we needed to do so that the closet system could be installed seamlessly in our timeline, with little downtime. When we realized there was an overlooked detail which could affect the closet design, he helped us address it so we understood our options and could find the best solution. He promptly answered any questions we had during the process. His installers are all equally professional. They are courteous and well versed in their craft. They are efficient and leave the space in the same condition they found it in. Complete satisfaction is the goal of every person in this company. Not only would I recommend them to anyone (and I have), but we are contemplating using them in other areas of our home.

The closet planner, trent was great. He made sure I had all of my needs covered. He was very attentive throughout the process and make sure that I was happy with the drawings. After the install, which was quick and easy, Trent called again to make sure that I was happy with the finished product.

I can't say enough about Noel, Paul, and their team. They are professional, polite, reliable, and responsive. It is obvious that they take great pride in their work. It was a pleasure working with them from beginning to end. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.
