Econize Closets and Blinds

They showed up on time, did a fantastic job, cleaned up and went on their way. They were wonderful!!!!

I received several estimates for this project & while Econize was not the least expensive, their quote was competitive. I chose them because they were so professional & responsive at each point of contact from beginning to end. I spoke with an actual person when I inquired initially & was immediately set up with an appointment to meet with a designer, Trent, who came out to my house. He called before arriving on-time, and provided a great design with wood samples & a catalog. He was informative without being pushy. He forwarded the designs to me & followed up & was open to any changes or modifications needed in the contract or design. The install was set up within two weeks & the work was completed in 1 day. The team who came to my home to complete the installation was very professional & courteous. They were considerate of my children & my home. They did a wonderful job & I couldn't be happier with my new closets. I would absolutely recommend them to family & friends & would definitely use them again.

We had previously contracted Econize to construct and install a reach in closet and a walk in closet. They did a fabulous job and my wife loved it so much she talked me into having two other reach in closets done. Their representative Trent came to the house to estimate the work. He submitted a design via email that allowed us to review and modify. We modified a lot before finally settling for a finished design. No hassle. Trent is very knowledgeable about all aspects of this work and helped a lot. The workers came on the appointed day and everything worked perfectly. We had already removed all of the closet hardware and painted so the installation was very straightforward. Highly recommend you doing this before the installation day. The Econize workers were very professional. They were prompt. They worked very fast and completed their work with no mess. Total time about two hours. We investigated a do it yourself kit that would have been somewhat cheaper but decided that we did not have the tools or skills to install ourselves. These guys are real professionals and I doubt you could do this task as well as they did in the time that they worked. It all looks so good now. Much more functional than before. All the shelves are adjustable so rearranging is a snap. We highly recommend this company.

I consulted with Eco-nize based on all the great Angie's List reviews, and I was not disappointed. After speaking with a carpenter who told us the minimum cost for built in shelves would be $6-$10,000, I decided to see if Econize could offer us a more budget friendly solution. I met with Trent Hillaert, who came to our house and discussed what I wanted in the shelves. He was very friendly and I never felt any sales pitch or pressure from him. He told me he would draw up some designs and email them to me. It took 10 days from our meeting for Trent to send the designs, which I thought was a little long, but he and Dan Beller were very accommodating to all my requests and changes to their original design. In fact, my husband and I were worried that the shelves would look strange next to our fireplace mantel, but Dan and Trent both answered our numerous questions and assuaged all our fears. On the day of installation the crew came and worked very efficiently. They even were able to move the shelves and still made them look great when we told them that our electrician had made a mistake with the placement of an outlet. My only complaint is when installation crew removed our baseboard in order to place our shelves, they made a hole in the drywall behind the shelving unit and didn't tell us. I guess they figured we wouldn't see it because it was behind the shelves, but when I pulled out a drawer I noticed it. Other than that, I have no complaints about Eco-nize, and in fact I'm already thinking about the next project I'd like them to do!

1. My RFI was met by owner Noel Sweeney himself. Noel called me directly and we chatted about his company. He efficiently scheduled a site visit to get the process underway. 2. Senior designer Trent measured our space, took notes on what we wanted, and tailored a system to fit our needs. He was prompt and courteous and not fazed at all by our preference to re-use our existing laundry baskets instead of installing new pull-out bins. Trent worked with me through several design changes. He accommodated every request and provided updated drawings after each iteration. We were having our carpet replaced with hardwood at the same time, so sequencing was important. Trent accommodated our schedule and provided specific instructions about where shoe moulding should and should not be installed and how much base board should be removed on certain walls. 3. I am a green interior designer and the former sustainability manager for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), so the health and environmental impacts of building materials are extremely important to me. As I was vetting Econize, I requested specific information about the products they use. Dan provided me with spec sheets without hesitation. Doing my due diligence, I vetted the materials through GreenSpec and Pharos and was delighted to find that they were highly rated. The particleboard and finish I selected are FSC, SCS, and EPP certified, contain no added urea formaldehyde, and are CHPS compliant, so they are indeed healthy products. Attaining third-party certifications is an expensive and arduous process, but demonstrates a manufacturers' commitment to sustainability. It was refreshing to deal with a company that not only understands transparency, but enthusiastically embraces and practices it. 4. Installers Paul and Jack were the consummate professionals as well. They moved up my install date because they had a last-minute opening in their schedule, which was most appreciated. They arrived on time and cheerfully removed their shoes each and every time they came back inside the house so as not to sully my newly installed hardwood floors. Paul explained their process, answered all my questions, then got right to the install. When he discovered that the wall adjacent to the entryway was not level, Paul explained the issue and demonstrated possible solutions. We discussed the options for installing the upright support, including unintended consequences such as weakening the integrity over time, and he waited patiently for me to decide. After the install was complete, Paul and Jack wiped down the shelves and vacuumed the space, leaving us with a beautiful and clean closet. 5. The closet system is exactly what we envisioned and expected. Econize even gave us a few complimentary accessories that provide additional functionality to the space. For an organizer like me, this is like a box from Tiffany's. 6. Our home is 14 years old and we've improved upon its interior and exterior quite a bit. The whole Econize team is a cohesive unit. The left hand does know what the right hand wants! From measure to installation these guys want to please and do whatever it takes, they will put all of their efforts in it. They just finished a playroom for my client and it went so smoothly that my client could not believe they finished it so quickly and all according to plan. It was not a simple project, but they never blinked. They make changes to plans without any objections, they are very patient and professional. I believe that this playroom has more complexity than the average storage unit design. It has window seats throughout the perimeter of the room with locking drawers beneath each seat. There were locking cabinets and open shelving on the open wall areas. In addition they used slatwall to hang storage baskets. All of this design was perfectly measured and installed providing lots of storage for these 2 little boys with lots of toys. Our next projects with Econize will be an office for this same client and also a mudroom for their back door entrance. They make it easy to visualize with floor plans, wall elevations and 3D drawings. They also have a very impressive showroom to view cabinet door types, storage ideas and cabinet wood finishes. This was truly the easiest part of our renovation. They were on time for the initial consultation, and Noel Sweeney spent time discussing our wants and needs. He was very honest when making suggestions on how to use our space in the best manner. After our meeting the design and pricing was quickly returned to us for approval. Now on to the installation! The installation was projected to take 4-5 hours. The crew arrived on time and began working immediately. The installation did not take the entire time projected. Then they cleaned up and left the closet in move in condition! I highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a closet system! I have already recommended Econize to several friends! This has been a wonderful experience from the initial design consultation, to the install. The turn around time was fairly quick and the install team was very professional. They made sure that I was happy with what they were doing during their install, and they made recommendations to make things work and look better. They were very courteous, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Eco-Nize and am already dreaming of other projects they can do in my house!

Excellent job. Based on Angie's List ratings, I requested estimates from Eco-nize and another competing closet company. Noel Sweeney at Eco-nize was able to meet with me shortly after my initial request and I also received the initial design in a timely manner. Because I was in the middle of a renovation project, it took me a couple of weeks to review the designs from both companies. Dan Beller followed up with me, but not in a high pressure way and was very considerate and patient based on my schedule. Dan was also very responsive regarding design changes. Noel and Dan were also very conscientious about the cost and offered additional discounts and complimentary accessories. I ultimately chose Eco-nize because of their professionalism, reliability and competitive prices. The closets were installed on schedule and as promised. On installation day, the tie rack they brought to install was defective, but they returned promptly later in the week with a new tie rack. The whole Eco-nize crew was a pleasure to work with, always professional, responsive and reliable. They clearly take great pride in their craftsmanship and work ethic. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their services.

FIrst, Noel responded promptly to my inquiry on their website regarding the design and installation for my walk-in (~4 1/2' x 6 1/2'x 8') bedroom closet. Trent (the designer) arrived within a week after speaking with Noel to take measurements and come up with a design for my closet. Trent then emailed me back within a week with an initial design. After a few email exchanges, which Trent responded promptly to, we came up with a final design for the closet. Installation was scheduled a couple weeks after the final design. The day of the installation, Paul and his team arrived on time and completed the installation in a little over an hour. One of my drawers was damaged or missing, and Paul arrived promptly a few days later to finish the installation with a new drawer. Everyone at Econize was professional and I am very happy with my new walk-in closet.

When I decided my old unit in my closet needed to be replaced and my closet given a general overhaul, I called three companies to bid on the job of the closet unit. Econize was one of two that came with a recommendation. I found out I had to leave town on business and needed Econize to come very quickly. They fit me into their schedule, showed up on time and gave me a thorough overview of the company and their product(s). I was leaning towards Econize because they are eco-friendly and hold third party certification - the only certification you want a prospective company to have. The met or beat the other two bidders and, to my surprise, got a nice little bonus of the drawers I wanted versus the drawers I could afford. On install day - the crew showed up on time and the installation was easy and fast. When I removed the old unit the old unit an outlet was discovered. I pointed that out on install day and they reconfigured my closet on the spot so the drawers would not be blocking the outlet as the original plan would have done! They did a fantastic job and great clean up afterwards. They brought me to the closet and showed me everything that was done to make sure I was happy. They will be getting return business from me and I cannot recommend them any stronger.

Overall, a great experience. Everyone on the team was courteous, responsive and helpful. Dan (the designer) worked with me patiently through several drafts. The installation team was prompt and efficient,and a couple of minor glitches were taken care of in a return visit. The result is outstanding, especially considering the price.

Guys were fast, efficient and clean. Trent in sales was available and design team was very creative in thinking out of the box.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon which offered a 6-foot, custom-designed reach-in closet by ECONIZE for only $499 on Nov. 30, 2011. By December 29, Trent Hillaert, a senior designer for the firm, had taken measurements, discussed my needs and preferences, and submitted a design proposal for review by me and the designer who was managing a major remodeling of my house. Only one additional proposal was required to respond to our comments. There were many subsequent delays before the closet could be installed, however, none of which were in any way the fault of ECONIZE; Trent Hillaert and the firm were remarkably patient and accommodating to my needs and schedule, even extending the expiration of the coupon which occurred before the final design had been signed off. They accepted multiple delays while I was involved in other projects and personal distractions with grace and unfailing courtesy. When I had finally completed my part of the contract by prepping the space into which the new closet interior would fit, Paul the lead installer and his assistant were able to get the new closet in place in less than an hour. Before they left, Paul demonstrated to me how to move the shelves and change the hanging rods from double- to single-hang. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the new ECONIZE closet, and the exceptional attitude and talent of all the staff I worked with. I will certainly turn to them when I am ready to upgrade the other closets in my house.

Fabulous - Good design very responsive great installers - A+.

First I spoke with Noel. He impressed me with how swiftly he returned my inquiry phone call and how quickly I was able to set up an appointment for an estimate. He was warm and professional. My appointment was with Trent. He arrived a few minutes early for our appointment in his beautiful little Eco-friendly car. I was tempted to clean up before my appointment with Trent because I was embarrassed for him to see our mess of a closet. But it occurred to me that he really needed to see it in all its ugly glory so he could understand our issues. He worked swiftly and took some notes and measurements then we sat in my kitchen and talked. He listened! He didn't interrupt. He didn't hard sell, nor did he tell me about other homes or projects that he'd done that were way bigger and more expensive than mine (unlike his like his competitor). He was warm, professional and really seemed to know his product. He even offered ideas I hadn't considered. As promised, the computer aided drawings came about a week later. My husband and I worked with Trent to fine-tune the design. My husband was concerned that his suits (he's 6'4) would not hang properly. I was concerned there was not enough space for my tall boots. I wondered how the closet wold look with crown-moulding. Trent made the adjustments each time and went back and forth until we were happy. There was never any pressure, I just felt there was a true desire to give us what we wanted. The install date was set very quickly and the install happened as promised and took half a day. We did our own prep work. We took down the wire shelving, spackled and painted and Econize gave us new closets. When I arrived home the day they were installed, I hit the floor. They were even more beautiful than I'd imagined. The closet looks huge and very elegant. All of the dead space is gone and everything is adjustable. For once, I honestly feel as if I may need to buy more shoes!! This is the first time in a long time that any company has exceded my expectations. I would recommend Econize in a heartbeat! I will try to add photos.

Econize closets are very professional, accommodating and helpful. They also installed beautiful closets that were custom tailored to my every need ! They were very respectful of my feedback about what I did/ did not like and changed the designs accordingly. I hope to eventually get my entire apartment done by them ! The installers were also mindful of my two dogs which was very important to me.

I contacted Econize as one of several closet organizing companies. I had already spoken to two others by the time I met with them. I had a specific idea of how I wanted the closets to be organized. They worked with me on several iterations until I got the exact design I wanted. I ended up going with them primarily because of the competitive price since all else was equal with another company I was looking at. They scheduled the install in a very timely manner and also suggested a contractor that they work with who could do the demo. (We didn't end up using them, but it was a nice touch.) The install went very smoothly. The installers were very professional and even made some additional practical suggestions for one of the closets that ended up to be helpful with the overall functionality of the closet. I like that it's a relatively small business compared to some others, so they are more flexible and don't nickel and dime you over every little thing. We appreciated that they threw in a couple of little extras at no charge. We will definitely use them again should the opportunity present itself.

Our experience with Econize Closets was terrific. My initial contact (via email) with them received a response within an hour, and they sent out a design expert to measure and design the closets within a week. The original designs were great, and they were able to accommodate our requested changes quickly and return the updated designs within days. Because we were coordinating with several other contractors for other projects at the same time, Econize was flexible with us to schedule an installation date. We asked Econize to patch and sand holes in the basement closet, which they did at no extra charge. The installation process could not have been more efficient and the end result has been wonderful. They cleaned up so well that we never would have known that they were here to install that day. We have a lot more storage space than we were expecting to have, and we are thrilled with our new closets. I would/will recommend Econize to anyone who is looking to add storage space in their homes. The price was higher than we were expecting, but it was definitely worth it.

All went well. We dragged our feet on schedule and meetings, etc... but these guys hung in there with us and ultimately got the design finalized and installation done. Basically did just what they promised "and then some" ... after closet was done, we asked for a minor modification and they came and did it, no charge ... super service! thanks again ... enjoying a new modern, warm, and functional closet.

Definitely would recommend. We opted for a custom closet design to fit a unique space we had in our bedroom that could not be optimized by standard furniture options. We did research and compared with competitors. Econize had the best customer service up front and had the contemporary style and finishes we wanted. Price appeared competitive compared to initial estimates from other vendors. We had a great experience with the design phase, they were very patient and helpful as we fine tuned our design to optimize our space. Communication was great throughout the process. Installation was also an excellent experience as these guys truly give honest, top notch customer service. The product looks awesome, was installed to perfection and everything was left clean. This has been money well spent. Will recommend to friends and would absolutely use again in the future.
