Was able to tell from my phone call that it was a very simple fix and told me what to do and how to prevent it from happening in the future. No charge or service call was needed. Very happy that he shared that information with us rather than come out for a service call for such a simple thing. I also would have felt very stupid to have to have paid for such a simple fix so he saved me that embarassment as well.

They were Greta. They were very responsive to my request, came when scheduled and called to confirm they were on route. They were very clean and used drop cloths to protect our floors. They spoke to my husband on the phone to answer his questions. This is night and day from another electric company that I tried and they were not good. Kudos to this company for their high level of customer service!

Steve promised the afternoon but he and his helper arrived just about noon which worked out well for us. He looked over where we wanted the outlets and gave us options on how we wanted it to look (inset or projecting). Steve also reviewed other work we wanted to have done in the future, giving rough orders of magnitude (ROM) estimates. His work is very fast but he took time to explain everything. He gives a very fair price, he stood by his internet quote, and performed quality work. I would not hesitate to have him handle all my household electrical needs in the future. I would definitely recommend his company.

They did a great job. They were inexpensive and they were fast. The were nice and explained everything to me.

They were great. These guys came to my house to perform electrical work so that I could meet county codes for my new sliding door and new deck. Mike is super friendly, responsive, professional, and pleasant to work with. They are pretty busy, which requires a bit of flexible scheduling--but I think it's because they do good work. I'd definitely hire again.

This was the second time I had Mike at my house to do electrical work. He arrived within the time window and called 20-30 mins before arriving. He installed the outlet on the outside of my garage and it took a little over an hour. Would hire again.

Steve sent Mike for this job... arrived on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and was a pleasure to have in our house. Mike took a few minutes to listen to what I wanted, made sure it was the right way to do it, and got it done quickly. The job looks clean and professional. Not much else I can say... everything was just the way it should be, quick and easy. I was pleasantly surprised by what I thought was a very reasonable price for the work. Second time I've used Dependable-One... second great experience.

I tried to contact this provider through Angie's List but I received no response via My Messages. So the next day I called them and sent them a service request form via their website. Later that same day I got an e-mail apologizing for the delayed response and asking me to call them back to get on their schedule. The next morning I called and scheduled a service appointment for them to arrive 3 business days later between 1pm and 3pm. Just before 3pm on the day of the appointment they called to say their current job was running late but they would be sending over an electrician who could be there in 30-45 minutes. At 3:30pm the doorbell rang and I was greeted by a nice gentleman who asked me to describe the problem. I informed them of all the details and the fact that I had previously hired another electrician from a different company to fix the problem but that other guy worked for 1 hour and failed to find the problem and gave up. That other electrician told me to let him know if I ever found out what the root cause was! After 10 minutes of troubleshooting the technician from Dependable One asked to see the attic. 10 minutes later he came back down saying he'd found the problem and we were "this close" to our house burning down due to electrical wires with exposed insulation caused by squirrels that had gotten into our attic. He snapped a picture with his cell phone to show me and he also showed me the burnt wires he replaced when the job was completed. Thank goodness he made the effort to look in our dusty attic! He installed a box and replaced the damaged wiring and informed us of next steps to take to avoid recurrence of the problem. I am very thankful that our house didn't burn down and that Dependable One found the problem and fixed it the first time!

I have used them in the past and like their service. Recently a vacuum cleaner shorted-out a outlet, leaving a plume of soot on the drywall. I called Dependable One that morning and that afternoon they sent an electrician who not only changed the outlet, he change a switch that was shorting-out and he cleaned the soot off the wall. All for $150! The quick and thorough service was much appreciated as we have our house listed for sale and need everything in good order.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service and work done by Steve and his crew. Every step of the way they were quick to respond to our request for estimate and worked with us regarding providing our own exhaust fan. Very friendly, professional, clean and courteous. Response time was amazing and they were right on time. Everything was spotless when they left, you'd never have known they were there. We were also able to use a $20 Angie's list coupon so it made the job that much more affordable. We will us them again and would recommend them to anyone!!

Steve made my initial appointment and was also able to provide a estimate for me and set up my appointment immediately over the phone. Michael from Dependable One Electric arrived on time and worked at my home from about 11:30 am until 8 pm! That's right OVER 8 hours of work! During that time, Michael worked tirelessly and well to complete all my jobs in one visit. I was particularly impressed with his focus and attention to detail. He is an independent worker and seems to work best when left alone to finish his work without interruption. The new outlets he installed look VERY PROFESSIONAL and perform to my expectations. I heartily recommend Dependable One Electric Inc. I will call them again myself in any further electrical work is needed at my home. A+ company in my book!

Very good, was a bit nervous as they did not call day before or day of to confirm. But called on the way to the house, showed up on time. Performed service well, gave me options on what to do with the light switch (keep the timer or just put in an on-off switch). Competent work, done in reasonable time. Cost ok, I have paid more to other electricians since it involved at least 45 minutes of work. Nothing happens for just $100 any more but at least it wasn't $200, $130 total. Used my Angie's discount for the service call. Knowledgeable technician.

Steve and Mike could not have been better. Steve went out of his way to meet our schedule, even if it meant him working late, or changing his own schedule. What started out as what we thought was any easy job, it proved to be much more complicated than we thought. They were excellent at explaining what they were doing, and why. They were able to do everything that we asked, and made all of our wishes happen. Don't hesitate to hire Steve and his team, you will not be disappointed.

They did great work and we were very happy with the service.

I was very pleased with the work both electricians did. An old 100 amp box was replaced with a new 200 amp box and twice as many circuits. They were on time, both very personable, the work was first rate and I was completely satisfied. I have other work to do and I will definitely hire them again.

The work went excellent. He was also excellent. He was punctual, professional, and courteous.

I called at 0920. By 1035 the problem was fixed. The rep (Greg) showed up fixed the shorted wires and the hot water heater worked.

Excellent. We have consistently gone back to Dependable One Electrical because: A - they do good work and B - we like these guys. On the project in question, we already had the materials and a few dates. Steve called me on a Thursday and his team was out Friday afternoon. As always, they did a great job. The lights were all installed in a few hours and look great. Afterwards I had a dumb question regarding a loose outlet box in the dining room that Steve took a look at and explained it was a remodel box and how it just needed to be tightened. This was par for the course for Dependable One Electrical. We've come to know his team and we are genuinely comfortable with them in our home. Frankly, not being people persons (which we're not) that's saying a lot for us.

I needed a 220 volt receptacle moved in the laundry room about 10 feet because the dryer was going to be relocated. Michael did the work in a timely manner, was very professional, and a nice guy too. He rewired another receptacle, and corrected a minor code violation. I feel that the price that was charged was reasonable for the work that was done, and I will definitely use them next time I need an electrician.

Awesome experience! 2 days after Christmas and getting ready to head out of town our dishwasher flooded. After water was removed using Service Master, we wanted an Electrician to inspect the damage to the electrical. Water had poured out of recessed lights and smoke detector in our finished basement. Dependable One came out promptly, thoroughly inspected damage and re-assured us that it was safe to turn circuit back on. I would definitely use them in the future.

Needed an attic fan replaced on my townhouse. |I made an appointment with the owner, so I knew a week ahead of time when and what time someone would arrive at my address. The electrician that arrived at my house was professional, on time, and completed work within an hour and a half. He was very informative, and gave me info on my roof, in addition to temporarily sealing a vent cap that is also in need of repair ~ at no extra charge. I would call this company again for electrical services.

I decided to wait until the Spring to have the work done. However, I am compelled to write a review as my experience with Dependable One Electrical was superb. Steve was quick to respond to my questions, was punctual when providing the estimate (even in a pouring rain), and provided a very fair quote for the work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone requiring Electrical work.

They installed an outdoor fan. After coming out to look at the job it took some time to hear back from them. They confused my house with another house so they didn't know what type of work I needed. The owner had to come out for a second visit to straighten things out. Then there was some confusion over the price of the job, it was eventually straighten out. Having said all that they did a good job installing the outdoor ceiling fan. I would use them again but I would make sure everyone is on the same page.

I called Steve on Tuesday afternoon. He was able to send Greg over on Wednesday morning. Greg was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He completed the job quickly and efficiently. He also noticed another (non-electrical) problem in the attic and brought that to my attention. Overall, I am extremely pleased with both the service and the price! I will certainly recommend them and use them again if needed.
