Description of Work: We had some flickering lights. They came and checked the panel and fixtures throughout the house. After everything checked out ok they recommended we call Dominion Power as it was likely an issue between the house and transformer. Dominion came and found an issue in the meter box.

Description of Work: Dependable installed an outdoor outlet. They had to trench the conduit 100 feet to the fence to install. Two men were on the job which required approx 4 1/2 hrs to do. The men Mike and John were very pleasant Mike was the lead on the job and is very knowledgable and professional. I was very happy with the work and surprised that you could barely tell where they trenched in the grass which was my biggest concern. I would use them again. The cost was high however I will add that it's been a long time since I've had the need to use an electrician.

Description of Work: I had some walkway lights that were not working. It took them a while to find the break in the connection but they did. What we thought would be a quick easy fix wasn't so quick and easy. They also found a device to automatically turn on the lights at dusk that we didn't know we even had! They fixed that as well.

Description of Work: An unidentifiable circuit in my house blew out on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. By this I mean that none of the circuit breakers turned it back on. Due to the holiday, I knew it would be hopeless to get anyone out but left messages. I went without m/w, overhead lighting in the kitchen, dining room, foyer, as well as outdoor lights and garage door opener. A couple of neighbors were able to hoist my garage door out so I could "free" my car (!) but otherwise I just had to wait. | |One other company called before Dependable One did but he couldn't have been nicer. Even though he was surely backed up we discussed the problem, he offered to be of any help possible in the future, etc. He didn't have to do that and will surely get my business the next time. I do so wish I had ended up with him. The other company did not fix the problem, overloaded an existing circuit to "fix the problem", left exposed wiring and it all blew again five hours after the tech was here. In addition he tramped all over my hardwood floors and left dirty boot prints which have not entirely come off. I am holding out for Dependable One next time for sure.

Description of Work: The George Kovacs Light Fixture in my eat in kitchen short circuited causing the light switch and dimmer to to also burn out. they diagnosed the problem and replace the dimmer switch and detached the damaged part of the fixture. | |After I had the fixture fixed, they wired it up and got it working. This was not an easy job since it is a heave future and there was little slack in the power cord. However they merged to get back together and it works and looks great. The second trip was $125.00 | |They were real professionals.

Description of Work: Loved Steve. He will be my go-to electrician moving forward. He was thorough, smart, cared about the quality of his work and reputation and had some great stories! He found the problem (a short in the electrical) after A LOT of digging and was able to fix the problem within in minutes. Thank you, Steve!

Description of Work: Mike and John were great! They replaced a foyer hanging light, a hanging light over my stairs, a bathroom light and a light switch. They arrived early and were finished quickly! They cleaned up when they were finished. I would definitely have them back to do more work.
