I spoke with Steve on the phone setting up the appt, i had a lengthy to-do list, so he said just to walk through the list when they are onsite and they will provide estimate. Gene Showed up exactly on time. We walked the various jobs I needed done and he got right to work. During the day, we made adjustments on his suggestion or that of other contractors on site that day. It was a very full afternoon/early evening to get everything done, but he did a great job across the board. From the phone discussions to learn about the company and making the appointment, through all the work completed, I could only consider them Professional, personable and knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable for the amount of work completed. Definite and strong recommendation

I used their website to ask for an estimate. Sent them a request on a Thursday but never heard back. By the next Tuesday I thought I would call because of all the glowing reviews I saw on here. Got Steve, and he said they had been having some problems with the website. Glad I called. I explained the work and he gave a rough estimate over the phone of about $400 or so, which was fine with me. We scheduled a time. Greg and Joe showed up within the time frame we arranged. The bathroom exhaust fan was original to the house (1977), but the problem was that the original installation was really jerry-rigged. When the bathroom exhaust fan was replaced in the other bathroom on that upper level, I used the only roof vent available so the exhaust fan for this other bathroom had nowhere to go. The new exhaust fan needed a bigger hole cut out and a different mounting system as the old one was held in with two screws and some old gum. Greg and Joe got to work and in and hour and a half had the new exhaust fan installed with a new roof vent and replaced the three ceiling/wall light fixtures in that bath area. Great job, and the total was only $335. I will definitely be using them again for other projects.

After reviewing several electricians from Angie's List we got three quotes. That experience was interesting but in the end we had no doubt that we wanted to go with Steve and Dependable One. From the first contact the office was responsive and worked with us to set up the estimate date. Steve came out exactly when he said he would and from the first time I met him I knew that he knew his business and that he was more interested in quality than trying to sell. The way he talked about his team of professionals reflected his pride in them and in their work. He came across as genuine, honest and extremely qualified. I don't know what to say other than that he and his team proved that all to be true. The permit process, work scheduling, punctuality and professionalism on the entire Dependable One team is remarkable. They worked with us through all issues, accommodated our vacation in the middle of the project and still finished under budget and ahead of schedule. From the estimate through to final inspection I was not left waiting, everything was done the right way the first time and they even helped rework the plan midway through to improve the functionality of several aspects of the layout. Bottom line, it doesn't get any easier or better than using Dependable One. Terrific value for the money and they care about the work and the customer.

The technician was very professional and helpful in explaining what was wrong and how he was going to correct it. This made us feel that we were in good hands and gave us confidence in his knowledge and skills. Gregg(?) worked fast and did the job(s) according to our order of priorities; i.e. fixtures, lights, contact. We were truly satisfied and agree that "Dependable" is an excellent name for this company. I will definitely use the services of this "Trustworthy" company again.

Greg was able to schedule me at the time I needed. He arrived on time, and did the job well. He cleaned up when he was done. THe price was good, and made even better with an Angie's List coupon. Would recommend him.

Hire this guy! Steve was great, his work fantastic. For the price of the job, he even repaired the drywall where the florescent light was removed, including sanding the drywall mud. All I had to do was paint (a 10 min job). All other contractors from whom I received a bid were not only higher ($300+) but some would not do the drywall repairs for that higher cost. And it was quick -- all work was done in a little over 3 hours. I will definitely call him again when I need electrical work that is over my head.

This company was fantastic. After we received an astronomical estimate with a different company for the install, we decided to go with Dependable One Electric Inc. They were honest, hard working and did a great job on the install. We would highly recommend.

Michael arrived within the time window and started working on troubleshooting what issue was causing there to be no power in half the bedroom. As he was working he explained what he was doing and why and he answered any questions I had while he was working. He was here for about two hours, the 90 mins was spent working on various electrical issues I had in the bedroom and about 30 mins to install 3 GFCI outlets. I would recommend Michael and Dependable One Electrical Inc.

Very professional. Very easy to work with and flexible. Did a thorough, professional job. We were getting ready to head out for vacation the next day and he was willing to come out right away and fix the problem. This was a great relief; we didn't have to worry about the basement flooding while we were gone. In addition, my wife was at home and I spoke to him on the phone before and after. She was very comfortable with him and he did a great job. So glad we called Dependable One Electric!

I am incredibly pleased with Steve and Mike. I hung around in order to learn and ask questions. They were detail oriented, critiqued their own work, investigated and solved a problem they didn't understand why it was happening (a light came on in the car port that they did not expect), went out of their way to make improvements during the safety inspection (not just safety improvements but usage improvements such as figuring out why a kitchen light took too long to come on). I also liked that they have a systems approach to what they are doing, meaning that they look at the entire electrical system AND the people who live here. For example, they changed an outlet to GFI in the carport and explained how if the kids hooked up something to it in bare feet, the concrete is the same as standing on the ground - its like standing in a puddle of water and plugging something in. Moreover, they were fun to talk to and enjoyed answering questions about electricity, gas storage and generators. They are generous with their knowledge and really care about the quality of their work.

It went very well. I received a telephone call from Greg, the electrician, to let me know he was on his way and when he would arrive (which was within the two hour window I expected). He promptly arrived and went to work. He was pleasant, professional and did an excellent job! He completed the three installations in 1.5 hrs. I was very pleased with the service!

One of the best service experiences we have had. Spent time with us on the phone discussing our several projects and gave us estimates. Did the work promptly, effectively, and with attention to detail. They were creative in solving unforeseen problems and worked so that their bill came in very close to the estimate. We will use them again.

Steve was friendly and courteous over the phone. He solved our problem over the phone so he did not have to come out and charge us for his trip out. We will go to Dependable One for all our electrical needs in the future.

We had a great experience with Dependable One. Mike was the electrician and was very friendly and professional. He did say that he might have to make a hole in the drywall in our basement to snake the line through to our foyer, but in the end was able to find another way to access wires with NO hole or drywall repair necessary. Great! I would definitely recommend this company.

We had a light switch that blew one day. We joined Angie's list because our daughter had when she moved into her new home in New Rochelle, NY. She was pleased with the services of those on the list. We called Dependable Electrical. Steve Geissler answered the phone. We made an appointment as soon as we both were available. He was ready to come the next day. It was not good for me so we made it in 2 days. He arrived on time, was very congenial. He and my husband discussed the problem. It appears the dimmer switch was blown. He had the part so he was able to correct the situation in short order. We had been without an electrician that we trusted since our previous one had died. We are happy now to have one. I will be recommending him to my neighbors and will definitely use him again when needed. One thing he stressed was to be sure and use bulbs that were dimmed with a dimmer switch. If you use a. regular bulbs it would wreck the dimmer switch.

Excellent. The electrician laid down a cloth over my whole kitchen and safely placed his ladder, being cognizant of the walls not to scratch them. Was in and out in less than 1 hour.

My husband was home while the work was being done. Steve came with another worker. It took them a few hours but they did a great job. The kitchen was spotless and the lights look great. This was my second time using Dependable One and I am very happy with their work and the experience. I have already scheduled a date for Steve to return for more electrical work around the house.
