Description of Work: The company did an Angie's List $99 blueprint of my downstairs for eventually remodeling it to bring it up to date. The estimator/contractor did a professional job of measuring the rooms and providing estimates of flooring and ceiling replacements. I don't know when I will take further steps toward remodeling but I certainly would consider Cyrus as a potential contractor.

Description of Work: We were very disappointed with the plan provided by Cyrus Construction LP. We expected a lot more for $99.00. The contractor was late due to a "scheduling error". All we got was a plan and an estimate that we could have gotten from other contractors for free. We asked that the estimate include a number of items that were not in the estimate such as new windows, registers and a return for HVAC, shelves for the closet, vapor barrier, 2x2 ceiling titles instead of 2x4, etc. Even the advertised $750.00 credit was not included in the estimate. We did not contact Cyrus Construction LP for an updated estimate since we would not have chosen them for the work.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your experience. However, this review does not tell the entire story. We were late due to a scheduling error but we got to you as quickly as possible. We called ahead and also offered to reschedule for your earliest convenience. During the meeting, your husband mentioned you had a budget in mind for this project. We did our best to stay within that budget while composing your renderings and proposal. I also mentioned to him that the initial proposal was an estimate an we could adjust as needed after your initial review. You elected not to call and discuss the proposal. Instead you decided to submit a negative review without giving us a honest chance to earn your business. As mentioned, the requested HVAC scope of work would require our licensed HVAC technician to come by for further review of your unit. Though our estimators are very knowledgeable, certain trades require our licensed personnel to give the most accurate assessments and estimates in particular projects. The missing shelves were left out in an attempt to stay in budget. We could have added them to the proposal and resubmitted if you would have called for a review. The vapor barrier is represented in the proposal as line item "waterproof concrete and masonry". This could have been explained during a follow-up review. The ceiling grid tile sizing was not specified during our meeting. This would have also been a easy change to the proposal prior to resubmitting. Lastly, all applicable discounts were applied to your proposal. You received our absolute best price for the project. I must also add that you did not attend the appointment. Your husband and I reviewed everything thoroughly. This is evident in the 13 page proposal I submitted to both of you. To say this was not worth $99 after we [Member Information Removed] to the site, consulted for an hour, prepared a 13 page proposal with [Member Information Removed] and proposed renderings, and offered to revised them at least one is cruel. Thank you for taking he time to submit the review. FOH.

Description of Work: Cyrus performed the construction for our basement finishing project. Their work included framing and drywall, electrical, flooring (part carpet and part LVT), finishing carpentry and painting. We were extremely happy with the final outcome. Workmanship was very good and they were very responsive and flexible to small changes as the work progressed.
