vanities. The kitchen was the most challenging remodel, but Cyrus designed the kitchen for better workflow for the staff and installed all new appliances for a clean modern look.
I was referred to Cyrus through friends who had their kitchen remodeled by them and am very pleased with the outcome because they stayed on budget, communicated to me the process of the renovations and completed the projects in a timely manner.
Cyrus representative came out to my house. Was very patient and knowledgeable. He carefully listened to what I was looking for in the kitchen remodel, what my concerns and desires were and took notes. Turnaround time for the finished drawing was extremely quick. Not sure if I will go with this company to purchase my cabinets and do the remodel but I was very pleased with the drawing and design they did for me.
Product was well worth the money.
tasteful, my neighbor, highly recommended Cyrus Construction. Cyrus Construction had remodeled her home several years ago and she was extremely pleased with the work, professionalism, and value.
When I first met James, I felt instantly at ease with his very ?down-to-earth?, honest and extremely capable, competent approach. He delivered on his word (which most others did not) and promptly sent an estimate for the work which was fairly priced. Russell and his team, led by James, were equally professional, responsible, respectful of our home, honest and competent at the start and throughout the project I knew that we were dealing with a very professional team. I work full-time and often long, unpredictable hours, and are not able to be home, we felt completely at ease leaving our home in such responsible hands.
I am thrilled with my new Kitchen and are now embarking on a larger remodel project for our basement and downstairs bathroom. We wouldn?t even consider using anyone but Cyrus Construction to do this project with us.
I met with James, Marge and Bev at Cyrus to pick out the tile, cabinets, and counter top for my kitchen remodel. All were very helpful in making recommendations. Construction did not start until the cabinets arrived which is a good thing. James had provided a completion date of two weeks. The project was completed in 8 working days!! I was amazed at how efficient and quick the crew worked. The quality of work is great!!
I am very pleased with my new kitchen. I will use Cyrus in the future for any of my remodeling requirements!!Great job Cyrus!!!!!!
"(Member name removed), Thank you for the wonderful review. Please tell your family and friends about your experience with Cyrus Construction, we appreciate all referrals."
What was not made clear was that there would be 2 teams, one early in the morning and one late in the afternoon. If there had been a single team to do the whole job at once, it would have been more efficient and not take time away from the tenant and landlord. As a result the second team did not leave the apartment until 9:30 p.m. Friday evening when it was thought everything would have been completed in the morning with the first team. Clearly a lack of communication from the vendor and excessive amount of time waisted.
Additional note, the landlord assisted with some of the drying and debris removal to get the workers out faster Friday night.
"[member name removed], You called us with an Emergency water damage issue and we took care of it immediately. We had two crews, one for extracting the water and the other for carpentry work. We have specialized people for each stage of the project. We had to wait until the water is completely dry before proceeding to the next step. We completely the job in a timely manner (2 days) therefore your "C" rating is surprising. Thank you for your business and we wish you luck in the future."
Russell emailed the renderings to me as soon as I left the office because they were in my inbox before I got home.
Although I can't get to the refacing in the next few months, I look forward to working with them when I decide to get it done.
"[member name removed], Thank you for the wonderful review. We value our customers and am glad your experience was what you expected. Please refer us to your friends and family. We look forward to you becoming part of the Cyrus Family, and creating a memorable project together."
The designer and the architect seemed to have different ideas for my kitchen, and they often talked past each other.
It seemed to me they were more interested in getting me to sign a contract for the remodel, but with this as a clue to how they operate, I won't be using them for this or any other project.
At the visit to the showroom, the Designer introduced me to the Contractor and the three of us sat down to review the 3-D drawing prepared by the Contractor. The plan had been prepared with measurements different from those that the Designer and I had taken, and omitted some measurements and significant structural details that we had discussed. In discovering this, the Contractor said that the plan was preliminary. He was accommodating, and made it clear that he was available for as many follow-up visits to my apartment as would be necessary to get further measurements and to fine-tune a plan, as well as to meet with the Board of my co-op building to arrive at an understanding of any applicable restrictions or limitations.
The Designer and I then took a tour of the materials offered by the company, and she was helpful in explaining the many choices available in different price ranges.
The Big Deal was useful to me at the cost of $99.00. I learned about the company at reasonable cost and without having to get a lot further into the process, and had the opportunity to evaluate whether the working relationship would be appropriate for me, and for my old co-op building. I have decided not to pursue the opportunity to go further with this company.
Overall I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work/output Cyrus provided me. As I begin the selection process to determine candidate contractors, I will surely, include Cyrus.
"Our apologies if you feel that your service was not as you anticipated. We do have an office in Falls Church, but our design/showroom is in Fairfax, VA which is 10 minutes from the office and it was not an issue with our other clients because they can see the products that we were proposing for their kitchen design and not just look at a 3-D drawing. We had numerous email/telephone messages to you with no response so we are surprised when you mentioned that we did not contact you when we have correspondence to the contrary. With the promotion, we had a backlog on our drawings so the salesperson must have misinterpreted the timeframe with respect to delivery of the drawing. Since we have such good reviews from previous clients, we are surprised of your decision. We wish you luck in your renovation project."
The work crew was wonderful and quickly remedied any construction issues. They also worked much faster than I had expected. When it came time to install the counter of my kitchen, the counter fabricator installed the wrong slab of granite despite the fact that I had chosen the specific granite slab previously. Cyrus Construction fought to have the granite counter replaced completely without any additional cost to me. Without their help with the matter I don't what I would have done.
I would work with Cyrus Construction again and I would only suggest to others that they work more closely with Cyrus on the construction timing of their project. I would call often to ask about the status and though they were always very responsive, I would have appreciated more information upfront.
From reading their previous reviews, I can see that other customers have had a much better experience.
"Our apologies if you feel that your service was not as you anticipated. We provided 2 drawings after several conversations and put on paper what your thoughts were. We ask each client to come to the office to review their design so they can modify in real-time if needed and look through the showroom for ideas. If the client is reluctant (as in this case) then they miss the opportunity to provide valuable input. We wish you luck in your renovation project."
Cost of $27,000 excluded cost of appliances but included their installation.
"Your house was built around 1900’s, which had several structural and leveling issues that we had to address. This resulted in several adaptations during the renovation project and we stayed on the job until all the unexpected issues were resolved. We had a final walk-through which you signed off on, and if the granite was not acceptable, then it should have been addressed at that time and not wait a year. The kitchen required all new electrical, plumbing, flooring and cabinets for $32,000. I was visiting the site every time that you requested to insure everything was done to specifications. We always do our job in best way with best quality and reasonable price. Well wish you the best and good luck."
