We've been with them for years. They are a pretty big company and they do heating and air conditioning maintenance. They also do duct cleaning. They are really good and always professional. They always do a good job. I've never had any problems with them. Their prices are reasonable. I thought the price for the duct cleaning was a little high, but we do have a big house. Our maintenance agreement is around $300 yearly and it includes spring and fall maintenance on the heating and air conditioning. If there are any parts that need to be fixed or repaired, they will do it for free. They fixed something when they did the duct cleaning and fall maintenance. It would have been a $1,200 repair and they fixed it for free. The maintenance contract seems to be an all right deal and over the years, it has paid for itself. We bought our heating and air conditioning systems originally from them. When they do the maintenance, they change the filters and do all of that automatically and check for any problems. They will come out during the year if there are any problems. They are always on time, friendly and professional. I've been very pleased with them.

It has lowered my bill and they did it professionally. They were prompt, courteous, and clean. The unit worked from day one and it is so quiet I do not hear it or know it is running. The unit has a digital thermostat and three year warranty on all labor or parts. They also extended the rebate to me even though it had expired, which was nice.

Very professional and courteous from start to finish. At the initial consultation to discuss options, the company rep listened to what I wanted and answered all of my questions. On the day of installation, the 2 technicians arrived on time. They provided info on what they were doing and verified that it was correct. They covered the carpet in my rec room to protect against dirt. They vacuumed the garage before they left, leaving it cleaner than it was. They showed me the new unit and answered my questions about maintenance. Definitely recommend.

I have an annual contract with them. They come out twice a year for $330.00 plus they cover the parts for my heat pump and my air inhaler. It's part of the contract. The quality of work is good. They are responsive, punctual, and professional.

All of the installation went well. There were no surprises throughout the project. They came in with a decent price. They were able to get all of the work done within a day. They come out each year to check and maintain the systems. I plan to continue using them in the future.

Based on a neighbors recommendation I contacted CroppMetcalf to get an estimate to replace my furnace and air conditioner. I had submitted a request on their web site but never got a response so my neighbor contacted his salesman, Eric, and requested he contact me. Eric called and set up an appointment for September 24th at 12:00 PM. No one ever showed up or even called me. I have never heard from this company after 2 requests for quotes.

He is consistent, pleasant and there not many bugs.

They are a good company and I have no problems with them. They come out, do the work, diagnose problems, they recommend solutions to the problems, and they point out potential problems. It is quite expensive but it is quality work.

The workers from Croppmetcalfe give me high quality service and I have been really pleased. They are prompt and they know what they are doing. They are very professional and I have had no problems with their work. I think that their pricing is very competitive. I get what I pay for with them. They are very polite people, they are very well trained, and do what they are supposed to do. They are very responsive and they will even come out on weekends for emergencies. They will call before they arrive.

The sales rep provided an estimate on 3/23/09. I explained my needs and we discussed options. We decided on a system and scheduled the installation for 4/7/09. The crew arrived and began installation. Everything went well and they were finished by 5:00 pm. The company has been in business for a long time. They care about their customers satisfaction and have a good reputation. The sales rep did not try to sell me more than I needed for my house. Their price was in the middle of my 3 estimates and the provided financing. The installers were on time and they cleaned up after themselves.

They are cost effective with a service contract versus individual service calls. One of the technicians went above and beyond the call of duty.

They had several offices. I just felt that they didn’t do a very good job. Instead of coming to house and doing the job, they were more interested in selling me service contracts of higher and more expensive levels or selling me new parts for the air conditioner. They installed a brand new air conditioning condenser for me last year. It was still under warranty when it had some issues. However they tried to sell a service contract for more money. They were expensive. They always came when I called.

They come out twice a year to do the check. They are not very responsive and don’t answer my questions correctly. There was a problem with the compressor and they were reluctant to come out. I complained and they came out and they fixed it.

The technicial arrived promptly at 7 AM. He was policte an courteous. he introduced himself to me and gave me his card upon entering my home. He performed the maintenance on my unit quickly and efficiently. He explained everything that he did and dis not try to sell me any unnecessary activities. I have used Cropp metcalfe a number of times and they are worth every cent.

We've used them for 6 or 7 years. They are convenient. They show up on time and they are careful. I'm satisfied with them. They are punctual.

We had a Bronze Service Contract with CroppMetcalfe and its predecessor firms for several years for our HVAC and plumbing at home. On Friday of Memorial Day weekend, we discovered a leak in our utilities room and water under our AC unit. Water was leaking through the wall and soaked the carpet in two adjacent rooms. We called and spoke to a service representative, who took down the information, confirmed that this was an emergency service request, and promised that a technician would call back. No technician ever called us back. We called CroppMetcalfe twice more over the course of three days and had the same experience. Finally, we called another HVAC service company and they came and took care of the problem. We have fired CroppMetcalfe!

I have worked with a number of contractors as I have been renovating an old home, and I was very impressed with the CM team. They worked from 8:30 AM to late into the evening (maybe until 9:30 PM) just to complete the difficult job for me in one day. They put down paper on the floors so as not to track in any dirt (without me asking). The two servicemen were very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend them again.

They have done a fine job on the maintenance so far.

We called them on President's Day. They said they could come out that day and would call us in about 45 minutes to let us know when. Called back in 30 min and said someone would be out in another 30. Mr. Jackson was right on time. We already knew what the problem was and Mr. Jackson confirmed it. Because our heating unit is 25 years old, he had to call and make sure we could get a part. He told us it was somewhat expensive ($416) because it's for such an old heater and thought we might want to replace our unit. However, most of it had been replaced 2 years ago so we just ordered the part. Mr. Jackson said it might take up to a week for such a specialty part but Cropp Metcalfe called the next day and had it ready. We scheduled it for the following day. Mr. Jackson came back, did the work and although he had to make some modifications, he did not charge extra. I was also impressed by the fact that while he was out on the first call, Mr. Jackson asked us if we had a carbon monoxide detector. Given the age of our heater, he felt it was important. We said we did, but had not hooked it up yet. While he was at our house, he went out and got one to test our two levels. He explained that it was not in long enough (just about 20 minutes), but said if the problem was really bad we would know it right away. It was fine and we certainly appreciated the extra service.

From start to finish, I was extremely impressed by this company. Fred gave me an estimate that was a little higher than BGand E's, but he also explained how the company was family owned, and how all the technicians worked for Croppe Metcalfe (vs being contractors from all over) and how they were required to have higher levels of training and certification. He also explained exactly what kind of system I needed, and how it would work. He also explained why a surge protector was a good idea (BGand E said it wasn't necessary, which isn't true - you have one for your compuger, right?), and gave me several other options re: duct cleaning and a programmable thermostat. He was always available to answer questions, and said he would be happy to do so even if I did go with another company. BGand E just didn't have all the information, and they seemed to want to cut corners. So I went with Croppe. On the day of the install, Pablo, Carlos and Alieu arrived exactly at 8am. They were completely professional, very polite, and they covered all my carpet with drop cloths and carefully moved my glass furniture out of harm's way. They explained what they were doing and how each part of my system would work. As far as the air duct cleaning, they showed me the duct, which was a little dirty. I was never pressured to get it cleaned - in fact - they said that I could probably wait up to another year and a half. But since I have a cat and I have allergies and sinus problems, I opted to just go on and get it cleaned. Anyway, they guys finished up in about 5-6 hours. They also helped me program my new thermostat, and they were just great! My new system is quiet, is keeping my place very comfortable, and hopefully, I'll never see another $443 BGand E bill again (for 1200 sq. feet!).

The technician arrived on time, performed the service as expected. He was very friendly, professional and answered all my questions. They did give me some sales literature, but he didn't pressure me into purchasing anything.
