We were experiencing an odd smell in our master bath faucets - and were under a program with Cropp Metcalfe, so called to have them investigate. Their assessment was that we needed a new water heater and gave me a quote. Suspicious, I called another vendor for their opinion, and it was correctly determined that there was a plumbing issue within our vanity - not the water heater. I have used CroppMetcalfe for AC and Heater and was very pleased, but really annoyed that their first assessment was for us to buy a water heater. I think with them, it depends on the technician you get - the HVAC guys were GREAT and I would recommend them. However, the same can't be said for the plumbing side.

They are extremely prompt. They fix things quickly and I am very pleased with them. I am one of their gold customer warranty people so it did not cost me anything. I will use this provider in the future.

I contacted Cropp Metcalf to schedule the work and they agreed to take my credit card number and hold it pending my authorization once the technician was onsite and could inspect the unit. He called and provided a description of his findings, and advised of a cost of about $250.00, which I authorized. about an hour later he called again to tell me he was finding several pin holes in the service pipes after removing the lime build up and those would need to be replaced, which raised the price now to about $460. The technician was detailed when he called to describe the work and for authorization to proceed (we were on vacation in Italy). On our return home the work was completed, the area was clean and there were no more issues.

I paid for a service call. They came out and made a fix. This was followed by six more visits where they came making the same repair and the board kept frying. They FINALLY sent out a more experienced technician after I called a manager and he fixed the shorting problem. Shortly after that, we started getting a leak. I tried cleaning it up, wiggling the pipes, etc. When I called today to ask that they come fix whatever they broke the last time I was told that they were going to charge me for the service visit to the tune of $200/hour. I will take my business elsewhere. If they can't be bothered to hire trained technicians, then I don't see the need to do business with them.

They were prompt and explained what they were doing. They seemed to be pretty thorough.

The quote was fine. I haven't had any work done yet. They were fine but they were not specific in terms of the name of the unit, the size, and the model number they were going to put in. When the bid came in, they said what the brand was but they didn't say what the size or the model number was. They were very professional. They were good guys.

Goood...Got a new vendor. Mannix..happy with them.

The technician charged them $115.00 then said if we bought a new unit from them, they wouldcret that amount toward the new unit. I didn't call Cropp Metcalfe to get an estimate. I called them because I wanted the unit repaired and was prepared to pay for that service. It was never mentioned verbally nor stated on there website that there would be a charge just for coming out. I paid the $115, but in doing so, they were the actual losers. They were the preferred company of my HOA but because of this, I went with another company .

The men were on time, and went right into work. I pointed out that the Freight elevator was not avaiable for part of the time, so they jumped right to it to get the air handler equipment that was here up to the work site. Then they attacked the tear out work. The work appears to be good quallity, incuding the drain pan connection plummbing. Both guys worked hard the entire time they were here, which was close to 11 hours. The worked well together, and never wasted a moment. At the end of the job, they cleaned up all of the debris, and swept the area clean.

I have been using them for several years and they have been doing a stellar job on that. I have a service contract with them. They come out every 6 months and tune the machine up. They change the filters and make sure everything is working fine. It is a great service.

Overall the service was good. CroppMetcalfe came out to diagnose the problem and did so very quickly. It took less than 30 minutes to diagnose. Unfortunately one of the parts was bad and the part had to be ordered. The second set of technicians came out and fixed the problem once the part arrived. The whole process took about a week. They came when scheduled and their work was done well and efficiently. I have not had any problems since. I do think the initial tech may have 'oversold' me - told me I needed something which I didn't- and which cost over $200. Otherwise, I am content with their work.

They did the job on time, as promised. Very neat and clean. A professional job. Would use again and would recommend.

Have had multiple issues with a residential HVAC zoning system. Cropp Metcalfe has been out 4 times to try and fix and will still need to come back at least one more time. I indicated the problem that I wanted addressed on the first call. I pointed out a bad damper motor for one of the HVAC zones. After several visits (including replacing a different damper motor and replacing the entire zoning control panel I still had the same problem. Last service technician acknowledged that they had not fixed original problem identified but was sure that other items that were fixed were broken also. I will never know. I do know that my wife and I have had to take off alot of time from work for one of us to be there while they are working - and we will have to continue to do so in the future for the last visit (hopefully). I also know that they have tried to cross-sell me on alot of other products. The employees are pleasant and respectful to our house (always wear shoe covers ...) but I have spent alot of time and more money than I feel was justified and still don't have the original issue fixed. Given the above I would not recommend them.

It went really well. Everything was cleaned up when they left. The work was complete in the amount of time they said it would take. Everything wworks well so far. They all knew what they were talking about, and the installer knew what he was doing.

Very professional from start to finish. I called one day, estimator came the next day and the unit was installed two days later. The installers arrived about 9am and finished the job around 5pm that afternoon. I had worked with Eric, the estimator, 3 or 4 years earlier when we had a new furnace installed. The installer noticed that one of the sections of the large air duct in the attic had become separated. He re-taped the duct and built a support to keep it from detaching in the future. This was done on his own initiative and at no cost. The employees at Cropp-Metcalf are a good well trained group of professionals.

They were very professional and easily accessible. They were very thorough and cleaned the place, themselves. They did the job quickly, but very efficiently. Their services were reasonably priced and did a good job. I like their services and will use the same in future.

The sales representative was informative and the work was scheduled very quickly and performed the work in a day as promised.

The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. They did the work for a decent price and we got coupons from them.

There is nothing that we have disliked about them so far. They are very good about sending reminder cards. They show up when they say they are going to show up and they are extremely professional thorough. It is hard to get an appointment right away since they are so busy.

They are prompt. Their service providers are pleasant to work with. I didn't have any problems with them. Their price seemed fair. My experience totally wasn't unpleasant.

There was a sticker on the furnace so we called them when we moved in the house and the first time they came they were fine. We decided to contract with them for annual checkups and stuff. The second time we used them the guy that came was really pushy. He closed up the furnace and said it was leaking something in some back coil. He gave us a real horror story and he was very, very pushy trying to get me to sign. He made up a list of other things that were wrong and he wanted me to sign right now. I told him it was expensive and that I wanted a second opinion. He was very, very pushy on me buying right now. I found another company that came and couldn't find what these other people said was wrong with it. He was extremely pushy about me signing here and there. They were good at responding.

Crop Metcalf is a very good company. I've been using them for ten years and I'm not planning to stop any soon. They provide a very good service. They only charge me a little over $ 300 a year for the annual service contract. They are willing to come out to service my unit anytime other than night. I would continue to use them in the future.
