+ -1 moreWe just bought a new house where the fence was partially completed. We hired Castro Remodeling to complete the fence where there is a steep decline and to put in a gate next to a patio area. They were very helpful in determine the size of the fence on the steep incline and helped us to design a double gate over an existing flagstone step off of the patio. The fence matched perfect;ly with the existing fence and the double gate was not only functional but attractive. They did an excellent job.

+ -1 moreWhen we closed on our home there were several items that were left by the previous owner at our walk-thru. The other real estate agent gave us a check made out to Castro Remodeling to haul off the items. I called twice and left a message at each of the numbers listed on Angie's List with no response. Finally we got the agents involved and he returned our call. We set an appointment he never showed up or called. We still have a check made out to him, but won't do business with this type of company.
Description of Work: Nothing-He did not return phone messages, we made an appointment and did not show or call.

+ -1 moreIt was a positive experience. They were total professionals . First they removed our old fixtures and tile. Then installed new drywall, tile, shower stall and fixtures. Oh they also painted. It was great and they finished when they said they would.
Description of Work: My husband and I hired Castro Remodeling to redo our basement bathroom. They did an amazing job. They were prompt, efficient and clean. Everything they did they cleaned up afterwards. I was really impressed with the tile work they did as well. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

Description of Work: This is the second time we've used Castro remodeling. This time we had hardwood floors installed, electrical work and painting. They were incredibly efficient and left the job site clean every day. We received competitive bids, and Castro's was in the middle - very fair. All their employees were polite and courteous - we felt very comfortable with them in the house. 5+ years ago we had them finish out our entire 1500 square foot basement. They did everything from the architectural drawings to the electrical, plumbing, etc. Excellent job and fair pricing (around $40K if I recall correctly). Still looks great after 5 years.

+ 1 moreI used them last summer as well. They were great and wonderful. I would highly recommend them. They’ve been very timely and when they came out they checked everything out. They’ll work with you to make sure that you’re happy. The owner prides himself on his work and will make sure that his customers are happy. Once you’re his client, he is very helpful and will look after you.
Description of Work: I had Castro Remodeling out today to start on a project. He built a deck for me and I had somebody knock some siding off my house so he is going to redo the siding of our house.

+ -1 moreThe contractor was punctual to give me an estimate and I felt it was a competitive price for the work performed. I also hired this company to mow my yard for the season for $40 per mow/edge/weed whack. The attention to detail was above what I was expecting for the cost of the work. This company also does remodeling and home construction, so I will be calling them for other jobs in my home.
Description of Work: Removal of missed leaves from the fall. Removal of a small section of fence dividing yard. Removal of a large amount of fallen dead wood. Disposal of all waste. It included my first mow, edging, and weed whacking. The property is just over 1/4 acre.
