It was a good experience.

I was very happy with Chris, my salesman, but very dissapointed iwith the installation. He offered advice and wasn't pushy or impatient as I made serval trips to make final decision on style and color. Everything was great until the installers arrived. They had very little verbal communications skills, weren't employees from Carpet Yard, and were subcontractors. Installation problems began with their lack of attention with clearing the old carpet nails from the flooring before installing the padding. They still had nails popping out and those that had been pulled, had landed in my adjacent rooms with new hardwood and vinyl flooring. One step off the carpet area and my vinyl or hardwod was about to be torn. When I asked if they were going to sweep and pick-up the nails before installing the padding - they handed me a broom. I called the store and a customer service rep promptly came to my home. I showed the customer relations rep where my old carpet was tossed into my bushes and flower beds, and where the installers had been smoking in my front yard. The store explained that this was their best installer crew, although they admitted that they were subcontractors. The installers bad attitude my have started from the fact that the size of the job was too much for these two men. Later in the afternoon another crew of two men arrived and the customer service rep also returned. I noticed that the second crew arriving in the afernoon completed the cut-outs for the floor ducts. I later noticed how poorly this aspect was completed. They cut beyond my register duct holes in places, while leaving excess carpet at other points. The Service Rep noticed that a piece of wood molding had not been replaced and tried to push it into place without any tools, and said that another crew could come back and nail it, as this crew didn't have any power tools for wood. I later noticed that another piece of wood molding was missing and assume it was thrown away. My carpet looks okay, but I can only wonder what would have happened if I was not watching and calling the store, or had another crew came which was less than their "best crew."

It all went very well. We spent a lot of time with Chris going over available options in our (very modest) price range. We were pleased with his expertise and he was a big help in our making a selection. He quoted a price based on our measurements and talked a ways to keep the yardage to a minimum. Then he came to the house and did his own measurements and did a lot of calculating to use the yardage efficiently. His measurements came out to several more square yards than ours had and he worked with us to keep the price reasonable. The crew was efficient, courteous and helpful. The work was done in about 4 hours. When we thought we had a small problem, someone came out immediately to look at it and advise us (it turned out to be our problem, not theirs). We are very satisfied with Chris and his crew.

They were very flexible about scheduling. They were very courteous. They were on-time and had the job done in a reasonable amount of time. They cleaned up very nicely after themselves. Their pricing was very reasonable.

Chris was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining carpet to me. He showed up at the house with multiple samples and I chose six specific color samples to be delivered to the house. They came very quickly. Another carpet company showed up at the house with 2 samples and never followed up with me. One ordered samples for me that came a month and a half later (after I had chosen Carpet Yard.) Chris was willing to negotiate on price, which I appreciated. Installers did a great job and even did us a huge favor and hauled away the old carpet we ripped up. The finished product is not quite what I expected. Chris had specifically pointed out that some carpet with high piles show vacuum marks and footprints so I went with a lower pile, but it shows them, too, so not sure why I didn't just go with higher pile. My husband was concerned that the carpet had no label on it identifying what it was, but Chris made a special trip to the house to show us that the sample we picked matched the carpet that was installed. He didn't have to go that extra mile. He was very professional.

I was very impressed with the quality of product that they sold to me. They also did a very professional installing the carpet. I thought they were very polite and friend when they were in my home, and they also did a great job cleaning up after they were finished.

Friendly, know their business, price is good. Alan Fox, the sales representative is very nice, responsive and professional. The crews that come vary in promptness and personality but they all do a quality installation.

Very professional in-store and installation staff. Provided excellent information on carpet selection to meet our requirements. Delivered on-time and on schedule. Installation team of three installers extremely professional and completed full clean-up after work was done. Installation went smoothly and finished much quicker than expected or experienced in the past. Definitely would use them again!

Sales person (Richard Pendergast) was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. He offered guidance and we ended up purchasing a less expensive carpeting that was in stock so we could have it installed within 2 days. The installation occurred as scheduled, and was very professionally done. We cannot find the seams and it is uniformly tucked under the base boards. The price was right, the sales person helpful and installation perfect.

The price was a little lower than other estimates. The installer was prompt and professional. He left my kitchen very clean. On Monday evening at 7:00, I asked if they could install the floor on Wednesday. On Tuesday morning, they said the floor would be installed on Wednesday afternoon. The service and quality were great.

CARPETS WERE IN PERFECT SHAPE, BINDING WAS WELL DONE. LOTS OF REMNANTS TO CHOSE FROM AND STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. BINDING WAS DONE QUICKLY AND WE WERE ABLE TO PICK UP THE CARPET REMNANTS IN A FEW DAYS.

THE STORE HAD A WIDE SELECTION OF CARPETS. THEY WERE VERY PATIENT WITH US WHILE WE TRIED TO DECIDE ON WHICH ONE. THERE PRICES WERE MUCH BETTER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE WE COULD FIND.
