Job went smoothly, foreman kept me informed of any issues and resolutions .Workmanship is beautiful.

I've a small job < $600 and so couldn't use them. Would've been nice to see in Angie's List the job minimum, $950 in this case.

Contacted Bright Masonry via Angie's List messaging requesting they contact me via email on 2/12/14. Wrote them another message on 2/15/14 informing them that I had not heard from them. On 2/17/14 they responded via AL message and provided a phone number and name for me to contact. On 2/18/14, I called the number provided and a recording informed me that the mailbox was full and I could not leave a message. Sent them a message on the same day through AL informing them of the recording and I provided my phone number and asked them to call me. On 2/20/14, I wrote them a message that since they had not contacted me, I was no longer interested in their services. Update: Pam contacted me after my original review was posted and she apologized profusely for not contacting me earlier, apparently they had some problems with their phone system. I decided to proceed with an estimate and made an appointment for March 1st. Rui Domingues is the estimator who came to the home, he was punctual and very knowledgeable. Within an hour after completing his inspection and review of the work requested, we received his estimate. I am reviewing the estimate but wanted to update my review in light of of their response and visit.

They were very responsive at first - we scheduled a time they could come out to give a quote for resealing a leaky brick wall. They came when we were not home (as agreed), and they were to get in touch with me in a few days. A few days later I called to check up, and they said the employee should be contacting me soon. After not hearing from them for a week and a half, I called back. Again they said the employee who came to review the site should be getting in touch soon. It is now several days later with no response. I will not be using this company again. To be fair, it seems like this is an employee who dropped the ball; others I talked to seemed responsive (although no one went back to follow up). Update: I finally received the quote, and the company called to apologize for the delay, noting that the bad weather pushed back a lot of work (it has been a rough winter). However, I had found someone to take care of the work in the meantime.

I made an appointment with Bright Construction Group was disappointed when no one showed up for the appointment. After 20 mins, I called and they said someone doubled booked the guy I was suppose to see so they rescheduled me for a couple of hours later. Juan from the company came out and answered all my questions and walked me through different options of what we could do. We wanted to replace the existing driveway and expand it on the side to accommodate two cars next to each other since we have a one car garage. Juan had a quick turn around with the proposal. It was a bit more expensive than we had hoped for but was comparable to the other companies proposals we got (had four proposals). Juan was very patient and understanding and really tried to work with our budget otherwise we would not have continued down the path to get the driveway done. We took several months to save up funds. If it wasn?t for Juan?s professionalism and patience, we wouldn?t have started this project. We were probably the most difficult customers to work with but Juan handled everything like a champ and worked really hard to make us satisfied. After paying the down payment, the work was scheduled for two weeks later. We were excited when the day came but no one showed up. It took several hours for them to call us back and let us know what happened. Apparently, someone didn't see our driveway on the schedule and doubled booked the crew. It was a bit disappointing since we had changed our schedule to prepare for it. We had to wait another week before they came out to do the driveway. The crew and the foreman, Luis, were awesome. Very respectful and answered all our questions thru out the day even when I called Luis on the phone. They did an amazing job and we are thrilled with our new driveway. It took all day and they did a great job cleaning up. They came back the following day to add the dirt and seed on the sides of the driveway. We couldn't be happier with the results. Even with all the schedule mishaps, we would use this company again and advertise them to our friends. Four months later and the quality and appearance is still great!

The job was discussed in depth and the procedures were executed precisely as described. A rendering of the jobs was provided which was very beneficial. The men worked tirelessly and carefully and enjoyed their work. I am very pleased with the results. My water leaks were cured and my paver walkway excels in it's application.

Job was well done. Crew came when they were supposed to and worked non-stop. The estimator, job foreman (Tony), and crew were all professional and did what was stated in the contract. I would definitely use them again. They were responsive to my questions and concerns. The job looks great and we are very satisfied.

We had a very good experience with Bright Masonry. The initial quote that they provided was less than the others that we received and they included more services in their the quote than the others did. They stand by their work and will go to every effort to make a quality finished product. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

This was a big job and so we looked for a few quotes on the work. Bright came out and put together a competitive quote, including pictures of our current layout. There was a bit of a delay in the follow-up on the quote, but Bright was extremely apologetic and were good from there on out. A week before the install, we met with them at the stone yard and got to pick out the specific colors of the stones that would be used on the new walk. This was a nice touch and ensured that we were able to get the 'look' we were going for. The install itself took 4 days in total. The first day was all demo and removal of the existing concrete. The 2nd day was for the concrete pouring of the driveway and base of the walk. The remaining two days were dedicated to building out the stacked stone look on the stoop and laying the stone on the waywalk. They cleaned up everything afterwards (which we were initially sceptical about given the mess that was there during the project) and even came back and put seed down in some of the areas that were bare dirt (grass has already grown back). Overall, we are VERY happy with all of the work performed and would easily recommend Bright to others. They are competitive price-wise, work hard and do fantastic work!

Absolutely outstanding work. Rui Vicente was our Project lead and he and his crew were superb. Upon demolition of the existing structure/porch, Rui and his crew annotated the defects that were found in the existing structure.........no rebar in the slab, no tie-ins between the brick facing and the retaining support wall, mortar and construction debris used as filler vs sand and gravel, and finally, no support shelf tied into the house on which the slab should have tied into and the reason that the pavers/flooring of the porch had collapsed to begin with. Every single detail was adhered to........from tying back our large bushes and plants and avoiding damaging the existing landscaping, to laying the most comprehensive rebar and shelf support I'd observed in 20+ years of owning a home. Our home is 12 years old; Rui, and his mason, Gregorio, were able to locate the blue-gray brick used to construct the original home. From the detailed structural preparation work to the final masonry......the job is absolutely outstanding. Throughout the project, our neighbors stopped by and were just amazed at how hard the crew worked and how superb the quality was. It was so refreshing to find a company that has pride of workmanship with no excuses. The owner of the company (Rui Domingues) actually stopped by on a Saturday morning at 8 a.m. to look at the progress and make some recommended improvements to the design, which we incorporated at minimal cost, that markedly enhanced the appearance of the porch. We have some close friends that are looking to rebuild their front porch as well. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Bright Construction.........exceptional work at a very fair price.

We developed a depression in our driveway after Sandy. Steve came out the next day after calling and provided an estimate for tearing out the old driveway and installing a new one, as well as installing a new drain so the old drain wouldn't spill onto the driveway and we wouldn't have the green accordion drain in our yard. Their price was in the middle of all the contractors we received. The crew came out 2 weeks later and completed the job within the day. What made them even more impressive was that after the depression came back, Steve came out and looked at it, and without any questions, provided us with options on what they would do to fix it under the warranty. I'm giving them a B in the responsiveness only because there was a little confusion during the second repair attempt, but that appeared to be more of a mis-communication between the on-site crew and the project manager than anything. But once I called the project manager, they rescheduled and came back a few days later and did exactly what was expected. Even though they came in a little over what some other driveway contractors estimated, they still came in under what the higher priced contractors estimated and have honored their warranty so far. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

The crew was on time and on task. Stopped only for lunch. Did a beautiful job, and our lives are so much easier as a result of their work.

On Friday September 20th, my husband called three concrete companies to request estimates for replacing our asphalt driveway and concrete front sidewalk with all concrete. All three of the companies we called had answering machines and he left his name and number and the purpose of the call. I reminded him that we were members of Angie's List and did some quick research and found that Bright Construction had received a superior award from Angie's List. He called and spoke with someone at Bright and they made an appointment to come out for the estimate on Monday of the following week. To make a long story short, none of the other three companies called to make appointments. Bright came and gave us an estimate of $3250 to demolish a 32" x 9' asphalt driveway and to demolish a 27' front concrete driveway. We were told it would possibly be three weeks before they could come and do the work. The foreman called yesterday afternoon and asked if they could do the job today. They had cut their estimated "waiting" time in half. They arrived at 7:30 this morning and promptly set to demolishing and removing the old asphalt and cement. About 2 hours later they were building the framework for the new cement. The concrete company arrived at noon with a truckload of concrete. They were amazing to watch. Each man was skilled at doing assorted jobs and they worked in concert with each other, moving from one task to the next. By 2:00 the concrete truck left and the crew worked on, finishing the surface, working on the edges and the expansions and control joints. When they finished the job, they cleaned up after themselves, even going so far as to wash down the street in front of our home. They even raked a large portion of our lawn. My husband and I could not be more pleased with their work. I would give them a superior rating and highly recommend them to anyone wanting to have this type of work performed. We are extremely pleased.

All the work was done in one day. All parts of the project were done correctly and look good. The flooding problem we used to have in the front yard is now solved. Heavy rain last night proved that the new drain pipe does what it is supposed to. This company is recommended.

The supervisors and work crews at Bright construction are the BEST! They are some of the hardest working, 'can do' people around. When the concrete truck got stuck in local traffic for 2 hours, the driveway crew didn't just quit at 5 pm and go home ... they stayed until the job was done. As a result, we have a beautifully finished driveway. Our Project Manager Juan and his supervisor Fernando are experienced problem solvers who listen to their customers requirements and concerns; then they create a custom solution. They are punctual, dedicated professional masons who designed and built a gracious curving flagstone walkway and front porch without damaging the existing decorative bushes and landscaping. The most difficult portion of our project was to replace a dangerously sagging concrete block retaining wall along the basement stairwell with a new reinforced concrete retaining wall. The Bright Construction workers first removed and protected the mature azalea bushes that had been planted along the old wall; their engineers carefully removed the old wall; designed, built and finished the new wall; and had the azaleas back in the ground in less than a week! Throughout the project the workers were friendly, courteous and respectful of our property, always taking care to minimize any damage. We have only highest praise for the Bright Construction Group as dedicated professional individuals who rightfully take great pride in their work. Bright Construction definitely will be our "go to" Group for any future masonry work.

Overall, they did a great job! There were a few issues during the construction phase. But each time, they came through with a solution to the problem (heavy rain, drainage issues). We are very happy with the end results. I think the way they solved each unexpected issue really speaks volumes for their dedication to custom service and satisfaction.

We interviewed a number of providers and were impressed with their professionalism, pricing and how they made suggestions so we could stay within our budget. They also recommended a drainage solution which no one else did. It has made a difference to have the additional drainage. Rui was very professional and was always willing to work through any issues that came up during the project. The project took about two months to complete because of so many rainy days this summer. Our total backyard project included a new stone patio, hot tub pad, fire pit, kitchen area, dining area and basketball court. The materials were a combination of stone & pavers, lighting throughout, additional electrical outlet, railing and pergola. We would definitely work with Bright Construction again and are very happy with the finished project.

Poor Responsiveness. The provider took an extremely long time to provide the estimate. After I called about the estimate, it still took an additional 6 days when I was told it would be one day. Also, there was no communication to say they needed more time.

They did a great job. We are very happy with it. They are competitively priced. They offered a warranty.

Bright Construction provided and best bid of three "A" Angie's List contractors we contacted. Steve also recommended a drainage solution which the others did not and still beat the other prices. Exacting drawings were provided with the bid. Additional options were in the bid though we did not take any of them. They removed the old concrete driveway (40' x 10') and replaced with about 70' x 19' plus about 25' of walkway and about 80' of PVC drain tile. Results were excellent. They were on time, and professional. As is typical in this area, the crew did not speak English fluently but language was not a big barrier. The only blemish was some damage to my car port ceiling by their skid loader. However, a couple of days after the concrete had set they returned and expertly repaired the ceiling. We are pleased and would use them again.

They did a good job. I did notice there were some things not being done according to the contract. We had discussed slanting the bricks, but the workers were putting them in level. We wanted them slanted so the water would run off. I let them know, and they fixed it immediately. I also wanted the drain to go underground, but they initially hadn't done it that way, but when I alerted them they fixed for me. They were very nice about everything. The supervisor (owner?) was very good about suggesting things to do.

It took awhile (30 days) to get an estimate from these folks because the estimator was so busy but it was worth the wait. The estaimate was detailed, broken down into sections, very informative with all the specifications and thorough with all the information necessary to make a decision and compare it to the other estimates. It also included a professional sketch relative to size and components which none of the other estimators included (five in total). My son-in-law sat down with me to compare the estimates and help make a decision. We decided Bright's estimate gave us the "best bang for the buck", matched our required specifications and the most details and extras. They told me they would start the the last week of July or first week in August. They arrived on Wednesday of the last week of July and finished on Wednesday of the first week in August which included several rain days. They did an excellent job considering the size and details of the project. We had several neighbors admire the job and make plans to get their own driveways repaved considering most of the driveways in the neighborhood are sixty years old. The estimator, forman and laborers were very professional and informative when questions were asked I would use them again and would recommend them to other homeowners.

Outstanding from beginning to end. Price was fair and results exceeded my expectations.

They did an amazing job. They finished the entire project in 8 days. After everything was completed, they put down grass seed and hay. They have exceeded my expectations. This company is highly recommended. They are a large company with many obligations...so If you can wait for them to do the job, I recommend doing so. Your going to get quality craftmanship from Bright Construction group. I will be hiring them again in the future!

Everything went extremely well. They came out and walked the area with me to get all the specifics of what I wanted done on each part of the job and provided a fast competitive estimate. They were also able to provide an estimate for one of our neighbors at the same time. Both us and our neighbors selected Bright to do the work. Bright was able to schedule us within days of our informing us of our choice to go with them. Their crew showed up about 10m minutes early and began work immediately. They tore out the old areas, prepped for the new areas, poured the concrete, and did the finish work all in one day (despite a short rain delay in the middle of the prep work). During the rain delay, they covered the area with a tarp to protect the prep work they had done. When they were complete, they also cleaned the entire area of equipment and rubble. They also came back a day or so later to seal the concrete. Bright's crew did this for both our house and our neighbor's within the same day. Great work, great customer support, great look! I have already recommended them to some neighbors who are thinking about new driveways.
