I have been using B&B Heating & Air Conditioning for 30 years now. The actual check is part of the maintenance contract I have, and then they charge additional to blow out the drain line, and they change my filters for free, I just had to provide them and they put them in for me. I love them, that's why I've been with them for 30 years. Their maintenance contract is $290 a year, but they come out twice a year. They give good service, and that counts as a discount if you have something major, you get a discount. Their quality is excellent. They give you a window, and they come within that window. They do a good job and they're responsive if something goes wrong they'll get someone out here, if you have a contract. It takes less than an hour to do the seasonal check. The workers are really nice. They just do a really good job, I hardly even see them, they just come in and take care of everything, and make sure to wear their shoe covers and everything.

I have a contract with B&B and I don't use anyone else. The price is covered under the service contract. They're pretty good, that's why I keep renewing with them. I like the fact that if anything goes wrong I know that I can call them 24/7 and they come out in an hour, that's why I keep their contract. Their quality is good. They are there when they say they will be. There was just one worker who came to do the work. They're clean, they put on boots, they don't track things into your house, of course they always try to up sell you on things but all the companies do that. They leave everything fine when they're done.

They came out right away. We were happy with them, they were Johnny on the Spot. We were in a bad situation because I could not go anywhere, we were happy to have the service and that they responded so quickly. Because we had the contract the cost was very minimal. Part of the contract was 24 hour service. They proved to us that we can rely on them in a pinch.

We have an annual contract with B & B. We have had other services in between that were off contract. I think they installed our current system. We've actually used them since 2001. When they come for a routine annual checkup we just pay part of our normal service. When they come for something else, we have to pay for part discounted labor based on the contract we have with them. My husband must be happy with them or he wouldn't be calling them.

I joined Angie's list lately trying to find a good contractor to do some works on my house. I saw Band B is listed here. I want to write a review since 2011 but I did not know where to. I am glad I found them here. I called the company today to make sure this is the company I had problem with. I bought a HVAC service contact for my rental property in Reston on 2011. The service contact included labor cost only, no parts. When my AC went bad they want to charge me $750 for the defective part. I spoke to the server manager when I found out the part cost me $150 to buy. He said that is the way it is. I ended up replaced the defective part myself. Do yourself a favor, stay away from them.

We've been using them for 7 years since we moved into this house and I'm just so satisfied with them. They are so honest, we have a maintenance agreement with them because they can be trusted, they're prompt and always do good work. We don't pay anything for them do come out, they come right away and you pay for whatever repair you need to have done which could be a hundred different things. They always find the problem and they always fix it. They put their finger right on it every time so I find them very knowledgeable. Everything has been running good.

Unfortunately we have now had 2 horrible experiences with this company so it compelled me to write a review to warn others about them. My husband forgot about our first experience with them 2 years ago and just saw the number in his phone and called them again. I was surprised to see them on Angie's list. They came out to our property on Saturday and the technician was there for 45 minutes. When we got our bill, the charge was for 1 hour and 15 minutes ($200). The system was frozen so he could not do any testing and said he would have to come back on Monday, so I'm not sure what he was doing for the 45 minutes he was there. My husband called multiple times to get an assessment and go ahead and get a quote to replace the system. Meanwhile, I signed up for Angie's list and found a company with one of the top reviews and called them. They came to our rental property on Sunday and gave us a quote. We finally got a quote from Band B and it was $2500 more than the quote we received from the other company for the exact same unit. We verified multiple times that we were comparing apples to apples and were dumbfounded that there could be such a price discrepancy. We finally got them to agree to only charge us for 1 hour (still 15 minutes longer than he was there) and the charge was $150. I'm sure many people don't call another company for a second opinion because they don't want to pay the $150 assessment fee all over again, but I'm so glad we did. The first time we used them was 2 years ago and the same thing happened. I watched the time like a hawk and the technician was here for 45 minutes and charged us for 1 hour 15 minutes. We are very happy with the other company we found on Angie's list and I just wrote them a glowing review (not sure if we are allowed to reference the other company's name).

Band B deserves great credit for being available to provide service in a timely manner--important because they can ensure that the tenants in a rental propertyy always have excellent, trouble-free heating and cooling. Having had contracts with Band B for many years, I have never received a single complaint from tenants about their service or courtesy. In fact, tenants routinely praise Band B's customer service. I especially appreciate that technicians alert me to potential problems and recommend service that--while not essential at the moment--helps to maintain the functionality of the heating and air conditioning system. Band B has been especially helpful in providing equipment needed by tenants who need a humidifier or dehumidifier.

We have used them for about twenty five years. Their service has been excellent. The contractors come immediately to complete the work.

Someone told us eight years ago that we would need a new air conditioner. However, they just replaced the air handler and in the end they saved me a lot of money.

They came in and did a really good job. We also got a follow up annual plan for them to come check up on the system yearly.

Excellent! I called around and spoke to several HVAC Contractors, including the one who installed and has been normally servicing my new Carrier Infinity system. I need to replace an ancient Aprilaire 150 whole house humidifier that was simply too much work to service each year. Band B Air Conditioning and Heating was at the top of the estimates, but they had the exact Honeywell Humidifier I wanted. I had low expectations, not sure why but their phone quote was firm. They did have exactly what I wanted and were available to come the very same day, so I bit the bullet and took the plunge. They showed up and discovered that they would need to fabricate a small extension box to accommodate the new Humidifier, as the existing space left by the old humidifier was not quite large enough. They assured me this was not a problem and they would have the box in under an hour. I was VERY nervous. Just as the promised, an hour later the custom box showed up, along with another tech who was in the neighborhood and stopped by to help out. In addition, their supervisor showed up just to make sure the final installation went well. 3 guys installing my humidifier! They did a fantastic job, they did not try and raise the price for the and quot;customand quot; work, I paid the original amount quoted. They could not have been nicer, more competent, or more professional. The install is rock-solid, looks great, works great, and no leaks!! They were very neat, always covering their boots before coming into the house. I WILL use these guys again, I was very impressed and I'm pretty tough to please. Well Done....

We have an annual maintenance plan, so Band B comes out twice a year to inspect the heating and cooling systems. Inspections and labor are free; we just pay for materials, and at a discount, and the maintenance plan more than pays for itself every year. Band B has been great about keeping our aging unit going.

We have used B&B for a number of years. I always feel like they significantly overcharge for the work they do, BUT, they do excellent work, so I don't want to mess with success. For example, they charged over $400 for a part which I priced (identical part not a substitute) at a local plumbing supply house for just over $200 (and I would have paid retail, while they are certainly getting wholesale or at least substantial discount). My sense is that you will pay, on average 50% (or higher) more than competitors, but you can be confident in the work...and there are times when that is important.
