I moved from another state and needed to remove and replace the front window tint in my car to comply with Virginia state law. Ian and Michael explained the process and only performed the work that was necessary, which saved me a lot of money. I came in on a busy Saturday just to get a quote and not expecting the work to be done until later in the week. Ian was able to squeeze me in and even provided free transportation home so that I could return at my convenience to pick the car up after the work was completed later that day. I would highly recommend!

Great service. I was not able to wait for the tinting to be done so they offered to pick my vehicle up at my office and get it done at the shop. They returned the car with the tint done perfectly and on time. Would definitely recommend this company.

When we traded in our old car, we needed to add a trailer hitch to the new one; a service the dealer did not provide. We did not use the organization which did the hitch the first time because they were back where we used to live and not near us. We consulted Angie's list. Everything went well until we used the trailer hitch. The hitch and the connection to the tail lights and turn indicators worked properly. When finished, we un-hitched the trailer and parked the car in the garage. The next morning, the "check engine" and other warning lights were on and we could not use cruse control. Our car is a 2015 with less than 7,000 miles on it and still under warranty so we called the dealer and had AAA tow the car from our home to the dealer. Later that day, they called about the repair. They asked if we had had any recent modifications made to the car and we told them about the trailer hitch. They sent the photos [attached]. They are before and after pictures of some of the repairs made. They also soldered and shrink-wrapped the connections between the car and the trailer hitches electrical harness. We were charged $100 for repairs. We called Ziebart about this event. The manager immediately raised his voice and began accusing us of trying to blame or make his company responsible for car trouble which had nothing to do with the work they did. "Your car worked fine when you drove it off, didn't it," he asked. He went on to say "You only have their word that we caused a problem" and accused the dealer of "just wanting to have an excuse to charge us." By this time he was yelling and we couldn't get a word in so we did not continue the conversation. Please note that he is casting aspersions on a dealer we have used without complaint since 2003 across 3 different cars all of which had trailer hitches added without incident until now.

I bought the two door $149 window tinting special. I paid extra for 3M film and the windshield strip. The whole process took about an hour. If I were to do it again, I would not hesitate to use their service. Everything turned out great. Smooth experience and recommended.

They were professional but they let me know they did not have window tinter right now so I did not end up using the deal.

I purchased the Angie's List coupon for Ziebart of Fairfax offering auto window tinting for $149.00. The offer was advertised as having a $249.00 "value". I took that to mean that if I requested additional services, more expensive product, larger car, etc., that I would at least be able to a) use my coupon, and b) deduct $249 from the usual full retail price of the products/services chosen, based on the coupon's stated full retail value. I was wrong. I was advised that the coupon was only valid for 2 door cars, (my car is a fairly large 4 door car), and that the coupon was only valid on Mondays and Tuesdays (which is in the fine print, but I had not noticed that previously, my fault, and I was there on a Saturday with an appointment I had made a week and a half in advance. I said I could bring the car back during the week if they wanted). I reviewed the products available and determined that the one I wanted was the premium 3M (the other products used for window tinting are NOT 3M) Crystalline product and I was advised that the price for that was $399. I asked if I could apply my coupon and said that I felt that since the coupon had a "value" of $249, I should be able to get $249 credit on the price of selected premium product, but was advised that that product is never discounted. And furthermore, that I was there on Saturday, and one final blow; The store had no record of my having purchased the coupon from Angie's List, so they could not honor it. So let's review: I paid $149 for services, which wasn't usable, and the upgraded services which "most people" get were $399, and the coupon could only be used exactly as stated, i.e., two door car, weekday appointment, non-premium material. I was disappointed that they weren't at all flexible and were not interested, seemingly, in making any gesture to honor the coupon/Angie's list discount offer. They did offer to allow me to pay the full price ($399) and then later see if I could request a refund on the coupon for which I had already paid.

I?ve been a customer of Ziebart of Fairfax since 1980 when I had my first car detailed and rustproofed by them. Military service took me away from the NoVa area for many years. When I returned I happily found that Ziebart of Fairfax was still there. It?s the first thing I do after buying a new car. It?s my fervent belief that it greatly extends the new looks and serviceability of the body and interior of a car. Within two years of the initial applications, I return for ?booster? applications of the Diamond Gloss, Rust Protection/Undercoating, and the Inner-Guard. My cars are garage kept, but these products keep me from even having to go to the car wash for months on end. I am a fiercely loyal Ziebart of Fairfax Customer, and highly recommend the full range of their products to you. Their on-site personnel are courteous and skilled technicians. Give them a try. You?ll be a return customer like I am.

Overall outstanding experience. I received a fair quote from John the manager. I felt the entire experience was very professional. They promised me the car in less than two hours and delivered. They tinted five windows on my 2014 Toyota Camry to the Virginia legal limit. I was very pleased with the work performed. I highly recommend this place for all your automotive needs.

I arranged an appointment to have the car tinted a week prior. I sent them an email with the exact year, make and model of the car. I called the day ahead to confirm the appointment. I dropped the car off in the morning. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. Friendly too. I called after lunch to see if the car was done only to be told they didn't have my car in their computer so they couldn't tint the car. This would have been nice to know when I arranged the tint. They had the spec of the car. Instead, I wasted about a total of 2 hours of drive time for me and my wife dropping the car, getting a ride back and then driving back to pick it up. My time is worth a lot. So they get a big F. Off to the next shop.

Overall, the services were pretty good. There was some slight bubbling of the plastic film that I was worried about, but I've had this done for a year now and the plastic has not come off and is still on pretty much just as they finished it. The only two things that went slightly wrong was the price that they quoted was lower than the price that was charged when I was paying. However, I showed told them what the owner said he would charge and the exact notes from my notebook and email and they gave me the quoted price. Also, I wanted them to add a plastic film around the bumper of my car to prevent scrapes from parallel parking. They did that but it only covered a third of the bumper. I only saw it when I was leaving, but I didn't say anything because it was really raining out and the price that they charged was pretty good. Overall, I am happy with the quality of the work and I'm very glad that I got it done!

I contacted several businesses to obtain a quote on installing a trailer hitch on my car (to carry a bicycle rack). John was extremely pleasant and helpful determining which hitch would work for my car and purpose. Ziebart's pricing was more expensive than one vendor, but comparable to several others. John ordered the hitch and called as soon as it came in to schedule the installation. On the day of installation, I learned why they say it will take two to three hours to install. I arrived on time for my 10 a.m. appointment; they did not take my car in to work on it until 11:30 a.m. It then took about 45 minutes to do the installation. Overall, they were good to work with, but I wish they would honor the scheduled appointment time.

I have used Ziebart of Fairfax since approximately 1975. What I especially like is that my cars look brand new after leaving their shop. They do a complete detail job both inside and out. The above price is for one car.

The Manager John was able to fit my car detailing in at the last second due to a event I had in the upcoming weekend. They did the work in the time span they projected and even assisted in correcting a major buffing issue . The work was done well and I am very satisfied.
