Amana refrigerator stopped working the day before Thanksgiving. Called Apple Appliance. Repairman was at my home within three hours. Quickly diagnosed problem. Amazingly, he had the needed circuitboard on his truck. Refrigerator was back in service within an hour, None of our Thanksgiving dinner was lost. Totally satisfied.

Nash came that afternoon during the time promised and told me that the magnetron had gone and needed to be replaced. When I asked if it could be repaired before Thanksgiving since it was needed for the dinner, he called his supplier and reserved the part for us. He returned at noon on Wednesday and to quickly and efficiently replace the magnetron. His office was closed for the holiday and many calls were forwarded to him. I heard him politely and patiently tell many customers what he could do, helping many of them and calling his other repairmen to schedule appointments. I am very impressed with this level of service. He gave me the 15% senior discount listed on the Angies List report and not mentioned on their website, but he calculated it incorrectly. I used their email address from Angies List to let them know and they arranged a refund. Our dryer stopped working the following Friday. I notified Apple on Sunday and the repairman arrived 10:00 Monday and had it working with explanation of how to avoid the problem in the future.

Apple came out during their scheduled window troubleshot and fixed the problem quickly.

We had been smelling gas when we used our oven for a long period of time, and when we called the gas company to check it out, they immediately red-tagged it for high CO levels. We called Apple Appliance Repair to check out the problem. The repairman showed up, and my mother-in-law told him about the problem. He turned on the oven and immediately said he didn't smell any gas (we had never noticed it until at least 15-20 minutes had passed, but he didn't wait). He then called his boss on his cell phone and aimlessly wandered all around our house while he asked questions about the issue. He told my mother-in-law that nothing was wrong, and that we "young kids" didn't know what to expect when we use a gas oven because we didn't cook (actually, we bake frequently in our house and relatives' houses, and the problem has always been noticeable with this oven). He suggested -- I swear to God -- that if we didn't like the smell we should buy an electric stove or install a ventilation fan. He wouldn't turn the gas line back on, though, because it was a liability for the company. I'm not sure I understand how he can be liable for an oven that doesn't have anything wrong with it, but that was about par for the course. For this visit, he charged $45. I didn't buy it, so I called another company to check out the oven. He was a professional and very quickly noticed that the gas valve was turned to the maximum setting, probably from when the oven was first installed a few years ago. This was causing gas to run into the oven faster than it could burn up, and the technician pointed out "wicking" (when the flame of the burner turns a very light orange) as an obvious sign of a potentially dangerous problem. It took him about 20 minutes to diagnose and fix the problem. No tools required, just looking at the unit and turning down a valve. I was furious with Apple, both for leaving my house in a dangerous state and for their lack of professionalism. I called the office and spoke to the owner, explained the problem, and demanded a refund. He agreed that he would not charge my credit card. All's well that ends well, but there is no chance I would hire Apple again.

Frankly, the fastest repair experience I've ever encountered. I've had oil changes take more time. Called at 9:45 a.m., Amir was here by 11:45 and was out in 25 minutes. Diagnosed the issue, had the part, installed it and he was out the door. Seriously efficient. I'm still in shock.

The process from start to finish was very smooth, efficient, and professional. I called their main number in the afternoon and was offered a technician the same day. That didn't work for me but they provided a window in the AM and the repairman arrived within the window. He quickly examined the freezer and noticed the evaporator fan was not functioning. He speculated it could be the bolt on the fan or the control board itself. A deeper examination indicated it was the main control board. He went about replacing this part as he had one with him. From what I am now reading this has been a common problem with GE refrigerators manufactured recently (we inherited this one from the previous homeowner). He worked quickly and well, and the freezer is back up and working properly. If I had any question, it's the seemingly fairly steep charge of $289 for the replacement. It is a $100 part and their repair call charge is $50 no matter what they do (though it is then used for labor if you need it), so it ends up being $189 labor for around an hour's worth of work and that's pretty steep no matter what profession you're in. We have a home warranty so I will be getting all but $50 back but if I were paying it without that offset I would have questioned the amount of charge. But for the responsiveness, punctuality and work product, no complaints.

We called in the morning and a technician arrived, more or less on time, in the afternoon. Very prompt. A little hard to understand their voicemail messages, but overall very pleased with prompt effective service that saved most of our frozen and refrigerated products. The cost of the service visit counted towards the repair.

I received same-day, fast, professional, courteous service for a good price. The technician called to say he was on his way and would arrive within 30 minutes, and he did. Friendly and knowledgeable, he explained the problem and the cause. He knew exactly how to repair the door, and he did it expertly and in good time.

I had done initial research online but quickly realized that I needed to call someone, I found Apple b/c of the radius to my house and their reviews. I was also able to get an appointment for the same day, which was HUGE b/c we were having company come over that night. Neil talked to me over the phone and we discussed the problem, he said he would try and personally come over (which he did). They went right to the job and got it finished fairly quickly....which was something that I was not going to be able to do. Long and short, call Apple, I was very pleased with the service and how fast they were! Thanks Neil!

It was a great but short experience. I sent an email Sunday night expecting a call/response the next day. I got a call within an hour of sending the email and arranged for a repairman to arrive between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. I was told that the repairman would call me when he was 30 minutes away from arriving. The repairman did call around 12:30 and was only 20 minutes away from my location. He was prompt and very professional. Even though it became clear there was no actual problem for him to fix, he ran through several cycles to ensure that it was not a fluke result. When a new light came on "Hot surface", he indicated that this light would automatically turn off in 3 minutes time - the amount of time necessary to cool down. He stayed around to ensure that indeed the light extinguished. The only thing that could have beat my expectations was if "no charge" was assigned instead of $50.00. That said, the fee was very reasonable for coming out and the peace of mind gained was well worth the price.

Neil responded the day that I called (8/31/10) and came to assess the problem. He thought it might be the control panel. He had to order another control panel and then came out a couple of days later to install. Unfortunately, the new control panel did not fix the problem. Neil surmised that it might be the touch pad itself, which was a special order part. He replaced my old control panel, ordered the new part and did not charge me at that visit. He warned me that it might take two weeks for the part to arrive. It came a little over a week later and fixed the problem. It was much cheaper for me to replace the part than buy a new dishwasher on par with the one I own, a Maytag Quiet Clean. Also, it is better for the environment! Neil was very helpful and explained all the repairs. He responded quickly to my calls. I will definitely use his company again in the future.

We had tried defrosting our refrigerator but could not get it to cool. Since it was Sunday we thought we would try to send an email to schedule a service call. Within minutes we had a call back and within the hour a technician was sent. He was able to diagnose the problem and had the repair parts with him. It was probably less than 2 hours from the time that the first call was made to when my fridge was working again. We had priced the parts before when we thought we might try the repair ourselves. Given the cost of parts, prompt service and the fact that all of this happened on a Sunday, the price was great and I would highly recommend Apple Appliance Repair.

VERY good experience with this company. I was in a serious bind after being given the runaround by Lowe's as to whether or not the delivery people would uninstall the dryer in order to install the washer. The washer was set to be delivered 10 minutes before I contacted Apple Appliance Repair. Through the fortune of good timing and location, they were able to make it out to our place before the washer got there (as they have an office in Ashburn and there was a technician ready), uninstall the dryer, hung around while the washer was getting installed, then reinstall the dryer once the washer was in place and connected. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Perfect. I've had a lot of repairmen over 30 years of home owndership and Neil rates as one of the best. He came within 3 hours of my call (on a Saturday) and got the freezer running and the frig cooling immediately. He ordered the part which he replaced today (Tuesday). Polite, clean, very knowledgeable and confident. We'll be moving soon and I won't hesitate to call Neil for ANY large appliance repair.
