Description of Work: I used a Big Deal ($60) to have them look at my washer--the water level control wouldn't move easily and I had to do medium loads for everything. They sent a very knowledgeable technician (on a holiday weekend even) who told me the cost for ordering a new part and installing it (the $60 would go toward the total cost and they included a coupon). | |They called to let me know when the part would arrive and set up a repair appointment. A different technician arrived with the part, took the housing off the machine, and set to work. He seemed to struggle putting it all back together, but finished and I paid the bill. When I did a load of clothes and it started to spin there was a lot of clunking, and when I opened the lid I saw that the tub had fallen to the floor. | |I left a voice mail at Apple, and the next morning the person who spoke with my husband asked if the load was balanced (I've been doing laundry for fifty years; I know how to balance a load and have never had a washer tub collapse to the floor when I've failed to balance it). Then he suggested that it was a "coincidence" that the machine experienced this catastrophic failure after their technician worked on it. But the machine had worked well enough to wash smaller loads before he came. | |So the knowledgeable guy came back and looked at the machine and consulted by phone with someone in a language I don't speak. And he eventually came upstairs and said it was fixed (the housing hadn't been reattached correctly or something) and it has worked beautifully ever since. | |I appreciated the skill of the second technician, but the experience was alarming overall, and I probably wouldn't call them again. | | |

Description of Work: The employee showed up and had a diagnosis on my fridge in 30 minutes, and the price was much lower than buying a new fridge.

Description of Work: Great company. Quick response, knew just what the problem was with our fridge. Quick, clean, polite, reasonably priced. I'd use again in a minute.

Description of Work: Our "garage" refrigerator stopped working over the weekend. I called Apple on Tuesday morning and they were able to send a repair tech that afternoon. The Tech was very professional, efficient and honest. He replaced a couple of relays and finished working within 40 minutes. Although it's only been two weeks, there have not been able problems with that refrigerator. I would use Apple again - although I might junk this refrigerator if it breaks down again:)

Description of Work: Did not show up on time. I called them several times when it was nearing end of the 3 hour window they had given. He came and inspected the dishwasher and said that he would get back to me with cost of repair and he never did. But he took the money for inspection.

Description of Work: Gas Cooktop replacement installation Apple Appliance Repair came out and gave me an estimate for $250 to install a cooktop. When he arrived a few days later he did not have all the parts to complete the install. He said he would get the parts and return to finish the installation. He also said there would not be any additional charge for labor only a small charge for some duct work parts. After 2 1/2 weeks and several phone calls he returned to finish the install. I reminded him to bring the receipt for the parts. He arrived and finished the install and said it would be an additional $60. I asked for the receipt for the the parts since I was only required to pay for the parts and no additional labor. He said he left the receipt at the office and the install was more involved then he thought so there would be an additional $60 charge. After reminding him about the agreement he said he would accept an additional $50. I found the service to be very poor. It took 3 weeks and several calls to get the cooktop installed. They did not stand behind the install quote and did not produce a receipt for the parts as agreed. I find this company very dishonest and unreliable and would not recommend them to other Angie's list subscribers.

Description of Work: My refrigerator ceased cooling and I called the company for help. They provided me a same day appointment (between given hours). The two workmen pulled out the refrigerator and found that the compressor assembly was bad. The refrigerator is about 8 years old. They replaced the bad part and the refrigerator works fine. They left the work area clean and provided tips on keeping the refrigerator running smoothly. The work took about one hour. I used an Angie's List coupon for the service.
