Bad, bad experience I curse the day I went ahead did business with this company. Caused me much stress. I believe they damaged my trees long-term by using climbing spikes. For the price, I did not think they will use those on live trees, and for goodness' sake, to ensure tree health and maintenance, reason I thought to hire a tree company to begin with! My pine tree, in addition, was left dripping much sap from cut branches down the side all the way. Clean-up was awful I had to make them come back. Left a huge branch dangling on the side of the roof. I guess they figured it will fall on its own eventually. Just too much bad experience to recall every single issue here all over again. The crew EVENTUALLY FINISHED the trimming of all trees after the extremely aggravating experience of communicating with AJ, the owner. Now I wait with fingers crossed hoping that my trees did not suffer irreversible damage. I learned my lesson the hard way ... not repeat mistakes I made allowing myself to hire AJ that fateful fall of 2015. But it's done now.

I'm awake at 3:00 am tortured by the terrible terrible mistake I made hiring this fly-by-night (!!@&$6!? I went ahead spent $2000 to check off a to-do item on my list for peace of mind ... instead what I got was totally unneeded and unnecessary pain and suffering begging this company to return finish the job and getting unending runaround.. I got stood up over and over and over again and given the runaround. I will add details here once I'm feeling better. I'm so upset about this mess I got sick from the totally frustrating experience with this service. Spare yourself the same abuse and hire someone else. UPDATE 4-25-16 This is an update on the problematic experience I had with them. Now the jury is out ... where they punched climbing spikes to climb my trees those damaged areas are now oozing silvery light grayish fragrant sap ... where there is a hole where the spike hit, there is sap oozing out of that damaged hole. And there are lots of them. I hired a tree service for peace of mind that I am maintaining my trees because I'm in the process of developing my yard into a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary. But instead I took a big rock and hit my head with it, now so worried about the damage done to my trees and the threat to their long-term health. I spent $2,000 to take care of the tree maintenance issue yet I caused myself stress. I spent thousands to address an issue to avoid stressing on it. For what this landscape company charge, well, I assumed climbing spikes will not be used... yes, my mistake there, but what the heck blame myself, I spent the money!!! Justice will be to get a refund and have that money in escrow to pay for the future expense of fixing the damages done to my trees. This is a grave mistake on my part hiring this company. I hope I can let this episode go, but when I come face to face with the damage done to my trees, it will always grate on my nerves. I just pray my trees will somehow heal with no long term damage.

I hired these guys based on their door-to-door pitch and I got lucky! They did the work starting the very next day, and worked two straight days with 4-8 guys on site. They took the trees down safely, they cleaned up their mess, they were respectful of my property. They did a very high quality job, and didn't argue with me when I asked for things to be done a particular way. We had gotten some quotes from other companies for individual trees in the past and AJ's prices seemed in line, but I didn't directly compare. I probably could have negotiated a lower price, but I think I got my money's worth, especially since it was a completely no-hassle experience. I couldn't ask for better service. Best part - no money due until the job was done and I was completely satisfied. I plan to hire AJ's to do some grading and landscaping. Highly recommended.

WARNING: Be sure you ask Jay, the owner, to show you his proof of insurance before you allow him to start any work. Last month, when I was in talks with him to remove some trees from my yard, he assured me several times that he was insured. His website also states that he is insured. I told Jay that I wouldn't proceed without proof of insurance. However, he never provided me with his proof of insurance. I ended up hiring another LICENSED Arborist to remove my trees. Shortly thereafter, Jay actually admitted to me that his license had lapsed, and he was in the process of renewing it. This man is not to be trusted. He misled and deceived me for three weeks, and wasted both of our time in the process. You'd be wise to use another company that won't lie to you, or otherwise mislead you. In truth, Jay is not worthy even of a single star. - Jack Mitchell

The tree removal was handled reasonably well although the clean-up on one big oak tree was sloppy - lot of sawdust left that smothered surrounding shrubs. However despite 3 promises to come and grind the stumps, they never came and I am now looking for someone else to do it
