The summer of 2015 I hired "Nicely Done Kitchens" to do a remodel/update of my kitchen, the adjoining office space, and the butler?s pantry. Fortunately for me, they contracted with Hank Pittman of "Additions and More" to do the installation. The result is nothing short of amazing. I wanted to make my large ?builder grade? 1999 kitchen much more updated, functional and as well as beautiful. I also wanted to do a 2nd project to finish a large odd space in my basement for a home gym, utilizing some of the old kitchen cabinets/counters, which I hired Additions and More to do. Hank Pittman, owner of "Additions and More", and his wife Deena were wonderful to work with on both projects. All emails/communications were always answered promptly.? Hank and his assistant Joey, did the work installing my new kitchen; electrical, cabinetry, etc. They demoed my old kitchen carefully; removing cabinets, countertops, double ovens, etc. A few of the cabinets were reused in the newly created basement exercise room, and Hank and Deena arranged for the donation to Habitat for the remainder of the items. The Butler's Pantry was enlarged to the maximum size for its location. The doorway was enlarged from the kitchen to family room. Because the kitchen cabinets I chose go all the way up to the ceiling, the cabinet trim installation was tricky. The trim installation was done to absolute perfection as was the interior and under lighting installation of the cabinets. The new gas stove vent was taken out through the garage ceiling without a hitch. I have so much more space with my new kitchen cabinets with roll out drawers. Due to the increase in the size of my butler?s pantry, it is so much more useful now, and it is so beautiful! In the basement home gym project, Hank Pittman, ("Additions and More"), did every aspect of the project, from planning through execution. I was given an estimate which included everything. The final cost was as estimated, and extremely reasonable. The projects took a couple months total, but it was so easy having them here. They are just nice people. Hank Pittman and his assistant Joey are honest, dependable and smart craftsmen. They were always neat and respectful of my home. They were very professional, courteous and skillful. But most importantly, they always made absolutely sure that everything was done exactly as it should be done. The work they did was all high quality. Hank is a perfectionist. He always made sure to ask me, not guess, what I might want regarding various issues, i.e. where to place the cabinet handles, pendant lights, color of the light bulbs (warm or cool), etc. He had suggestions, but let me decide. Because our basement had many issues, we'd put off doing this home gym for 8 years. Our basement ceiling had many heights with support beams, etc. Hank came up with a good plan for dealing with that as well as good ideas to hide the well equipment, pump, water softener, HVAC, etc. He relocated doorways, installed some sliding doors, installed some double doors. It turned out great! I left town as soon as they finished both projects in December, and just recently returned from Florida. I was stunned again by how beautiful my new kitchen is and how nice my new home gym is! It is a pleasure to use my gym now. I will certainly call "Additions and More" when I need more work done. Thank you Hank!

The first notable thing was that our motivation for beginning was that we had a leak in the wall. We were worried it would take months to get a contractor. But based on a great review from good friends, we found Hank and Deena, who were able to get this project started in mere weeks from signing the contract. And they finished in under a month except for a few items that were done soon after. They were able to help us through buying materials, including passing on their discounts. Deena had great patience with us, who are generally picky and inexperienced with such purchases (bad combination). We felt very comfortable with their guidance. They also rolled with some changes as we went without any hassle or additional fees. The labor was great. The tile was done PERFECTLY, and we felt they made sure they knew exactly what we wanted before doing it. We have no reservations about recommending them.
Description of Work: Gutted and renovated guest bathroom, excluding materials.

Description of Work: Fabulous complete redo of basement bath that entailed removal of bulkhead..creation of tray ceiling to hide pipes and duct work that couldn't be moved, recessed lighting, conversion of tub/shower to full-size shower with custom tile job and tile shower pan , tiled shampoo and soap alcoves, tile floor, furniture vanity and mirror l, medicine cabinet and accessories | |Additional makeover of existing LR and DR with new trim and crown...recessed lighting with dimmers in 4 rooms.. breaking apart overloaded circuits....other. misc electrical and plumbing improvements and fixes including totally repairing squeaking floor left by another contractor. Too many fixes and improvements to list. Note: he is a contractor not a fixit man...but if he is there doing a job he is willing to add on the small jobs that bug you and you want done right. He will of course charge you but it will be done right, and the price will be lower than having separate contractors out to do the jobs.Punctuality...he of course...is having to go back to a prior job to complete install after the painter finished the room or accept delivery of supplies on a new job..or go to get some specialty items for that days job. But if you tell him when you need it done..it will be done. And people who aren't early birds will appreciate the mid morning arrival...and many days he worked late to keep on schedule. And of course we kept adding "just one more thing". You will never get better craftsmanship...better way to improve awkward arrangements...more integrity and honesty and the job will be beautiful. He has taken our family room, kitchen, 4 bathrooms down to studs and rafters and moved windows, doors, walls pipes , and ductwork to create timeless rooms that serve our needs and are beautiful. And done less extensive work on hallways foyer laundry and bedrooms. Hardly a space he hasn't touch. Highly recommended. | | | |g | |

Hank Pittman - owner of Additions and More - is a true craftsman. He has many years of experience and knows what can and cannot be done. The kitchen project took 8 weeks - one which was dedicated to flooring and it was amazing to witness everyday the transformation of the infrastructure (wiring, plumbing, walls) to prepare for the cabinet installation. Once this was done ( and rather quickly) we then coordinated the installation of counter-tops and a new window. Hank was there to advise and ensure that the work was done correctly. Hank has an eye for quality - the cabinets were plumbed perfectly - and he makes sure that every piece is true and right. Hank is a perfectionist and his work demonstrates his values and character. Mr. Pittman is an honest, reliable man and frankly I hope we can continue to build upon the relationship we began. He has a great sense of humor, and a strong work ethic and that's a winning combination. Overall it was a distinct pleasure to work with him and frankly I will miss seeing him every day. How many people can say that about?
Description of Work: Additions and More gutted our kitchen (cabinets and appliances), moved door opening, removed a half-wall, prepared the space, installed cabinets, appliances, electrical, and moved a washer and dryer downstairs. They rewired the kitchen, moved pipes, and prepared the space for the installation of appliances and cabinets. They painted, patched and installed lighting. In addition, they developed solutions for new issues that arose that could not have been predicted - especially with an eye for the overall project and home decor. We discussed options for placement of pulls and knobs, foe example, and this allowed us to 'partner' with them versus getting what they thought was the way to do something.

They were less expensive than the other company I spoke to. He had less overhead and did a lot of the work himself. He was a very nice person with high standards. I also liked the people that worked for him. I have already recommended him to friends.
Description of Work: Additions & More completely replaced my kitchen about two years ago. They also renovated my powder room and replaced the floor with hardwood floor.
