Description of Work: Robbie, the owner was very professional, punctual and friendly. He came out, looked at our windows and gave us an estimate. He was able to schedule the work for a week and a half later. He and his 2 man crew arrived right on time that morning and worked straight through and finished by 5:00 pm. We had 6 windows removed and he installed 6 new Wincore Vinyl windows with Low E glass, argon filled, double hung, tilt out. They disposed of old windows and cleaned up everything neatly. The new windows look great and are so easy to use and clean. We noticed a significant difference that night in the temperature in the rooms with new windows. They are so much more efficient. The final bill was exactly the same as the estimate he gave us.They did a great job and I would highly recommend Robbie Pierce and his company. |

 + -1 moreI had gotten several estimates to install vinyl siding. The last company I contacted [from references] wouldn't be able to do the job, but they gave my contact info to Pierce. Within minutes of my last call, I received an introductory call from Robbie. He was very informative and made an appointment with me for the following day. Pierce Co. is a second generation company. FYI: We were operating on a shoestring budget and wanted to save where ever possible. We would work with the contractor on prep work, etc. This was in early January '09. I had thought that with cold weather coming on, work of this type would be slowing down, so I might get better pricing and service. Robbie came over, gave us an estimate, a 'parts & materials list', even told us where to go to get them! We wanted to buy the materials ourselves [saving markup costs] . We paid for the siding & extras, Robbie picked it up and delivered it to our place with his equipment [saving delivery costs!] . I offered half down and the balance on completion. He declined. Finally we settled on half when 50% complete, the balance when done. He even offered to supply us with extra trim pieces to match the rest of the house at no additional cost! Robbie and his crew worked over the weekend, even on Sunday! to get the job done in what was the coldest winter we've seen in years. Almost done, he pointed out a flaw that the roofer made which could cause problems 'down the road'. The roof on a dormer was radically out of level, side to side. The only way to see it was from across the street, a long view. The drop would cause a discrepancy in the siding by a whole row and could cause leaking or settling later. At that point, I had the crew stop and contacted the roofer to get that problem resolved. Robbie kept in touch with us all the way through the roofer's repairs and finally got to complete the siding job. I would recommend Piece Siding & Window to everyone! I wish them the best and hope they can weather out this economic time the US is going through.
Description of Work: New siding on a two-story 1920s era single family home. The original clapboard and cedar shingles were covered with insulation boarding and then the siding. This portion of the job entailed the front and sides of the house, plus two roof dormers. A construction error made by a roofing contractor stopped the first stage work about three hours short of completion. Once that is corrected [Oct '09], Robbie will return to finish. A second stage will entail the rear of the home plus a two story addition [which is in remodeling/construction now]. The second stage will be contracted out in Spring '10. Pierce will do that job as well.
