Duker’s movers LLC provides courteous and professional moving services, I am entrepreneur and a mover Johnny K. Duker who now functions as the owner of the company. We as a team strive; take generous steps achieving our customers’ satisfaction and make every move pleasurable; we are driven to serving local moves. While moving can be a daunting task, we essential offer packing, unpacking, storage to relocation, or loading and unloading of your rental. The following are chargers are for moving only, packing, loading and unloading are billed separately. 2 movers $375. 3 movers $475. 4 movers $575. Packing: Our packing prices are as following: 2 packers $70 an hour. 3 packers $80 an hour. Loading and Unloading: 2 loaders $60 an hour. 3 loaders $75 an hour.

Description of Work: The worst experience ever! First they stated that they would provide a 3 man team for approx 6 hours to move items from the home. They had nothing to move but the bigger furniture (since we moved the small stuff ourselves) and items in the garage. When they arrived on moving day, it was only a two man team. It took them over 10 hours at a snails pace plus many, many items scratched and damaged. Took pictures of damages. Not only did they leave all the heavy items (half of what they are supposed to move) downstairs at the old house and/or the garage, but they did not complete the job. It was awful. Before they left, they received a check for $800.00 and they promised to be back the following day at 4:00 pm. The next day no one showed up or called until 8:00pm (call) saying that they can come out another day. No thanks! We will hire someone else. Now I have to get all my damaged/scratched furniture refinished and walls repaired. We explained to them that this furniture is old and very sentimental, but none the less was still damaged. Thank goodness we previously moved other antiques ourselves.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who reads this negative comments that are made towards our company and our employees. We do not believe in or tolerate any shady business, we strive for our absolute best in giving our clients the best moving satisfaction. In fact, our reviews on Angie's List show that we have practice and perform good services. On December 09, 2012, we were hired by member to move his heavy furniture from a single family home. The main floor had a living room, dinning room, morning room and kitchen room all was equipped with large furniture.The third level had 3 bedrooms plus the master bedroom all equipped with very large furniture cabinets, dressers, queen side mattresses, spring mattresses and other antique furnitures in the rooms. The master bedroom were fully furnished with kingsize bed and bedroom set with 2 large end tables, 2 large dressers and a mirror plus a 500 lbs old model television amongst other things in the master bedroom. The Basement had a lg tv with a tv stand plus 2 additional rooms in the basement an office with furniture and a craft room with 15 boxes of stone tiles which weighed approx 75lbs per box. All total the house had 8 to 9 bedrooms with all rooms equipped with furniture. After the estimate the member and I sat down and we discussed how long it will take and amount it will cost depending on the number of movers. I informed him that the job would require 4 movers but it also can be done by 3 to 2 movers, member took liking in 2 movers I told member that the job would take approx 6 to 7 hours, we ended up working for 10 hours straight with no break(s) our 24' truck was filled with furniture as member witness everything that we were doing. The job was big that we had to do a 2nd load but unfortunately it started raining heavily, wet and slippery. I fell twice and informed member it would be in our best interest to finish the job the next day since most of their furniture was antique I did not want it to be ruined by the rain. So! we all agreed to stored the remainder of the furniture in their garage to be finish the next day. We gave member a call after we were done with our regular scheduled move but we were told by member that its not going to work out that night for him and I even informed him that we were free all day the following day. The total amount was $1075 but since my estimate was off by few hours I gave member a $275 discount and he payed the balance of $800. member mentioned he had an estimate from other movers who were going to charge him $1500 However, None of the furniture was disassembled and in each room we had to wait for member to disassemble the furniture this contributed to our time spent at the house. After 6 hours of us working I asked member, if we should continue working, he replied yes. He had the opportunity to stop us, if he was not happy or we were not meeting his expectations. I think its unfair for member to give us a review when she was never at the Claremont place nor she was around when we arrived with our 24' truck filled with furniture. Any review is a good review, you except the good ones along with the bad. Thank you

Overall, the move was good!
Description of Work: Johnny and his team were a good crew. They arrived early for the job, (in fact they were suppose to come at 9am, but got there a little after 8, so I will take early versus late any day!) assessed the situation and started moving my belongings right away. They worked very hard to move me from a 3 bd rm apt. to a 4 bd house. They worked very diligently and I was very pleased with the outcome. Very nice crew. I would recommend them to anyone for any job, small or large. The price was resonable considering what other companies were going to charge me and I like the fact that they don't charge for mileage.

Description of Work: They moved most of our things down to our place on the Chesapeake in Hampton Roads. Everything happened as planned and they were very helpful as they moved our thing in. Couldn't be more please.
