Description of Work: We were moving across town from one house to another. They handled the bulky/heavy things that we couldn't move ourselves. They were hard workers - I didn't notice any smoke breaks, heard no complaints, and they exercised reasonable caution with our belongings. There were some minor incidental scratches, but nothing lost or broken. They were over an hour late and a man down, but once they arrived, they got the job done faster than we expected.

Description of Work: The guys from this company packed my belongings one day. They moved my belongings the next day. Even though the walk to reach my condo was a long walk and it took much longer than anticipated, they did not complain and did a fine job even though the move in was from about 4 p.m. to 10 or 11 because of that long walk

Description of Work: They did what I hired them for and more. We moved on 1/6/16, they moved all the heavy stuff and boxed items. No damage, scratches, or any problems at all. They even delivered a desk I no longer wanted to the dumpster. Things went very well, and I would use their services again. They also do packing if you want them to at an additional cost, but we did not ask for that service.

Description of Work: It was a very smooth move. Johnny and his |crew were right on top of things. I never saw them stop for breaks and with the weather, it being so hot, it's a wonder how they kept going. They handled all of my belongings with great care and did not ding up the walls in the house moving things around. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely call Duker's again for my next move. They were a real pleasure to work with. Keep in mind you have to know how much stuff you are moving to get a good estimate of how much time it will take to move which impacts on the cost,and that goes with any mover you use. I have made several moves and I still forget to add things, Johnny made it work tho. Great movers!

Description of Work: There were two big problems from the start. Their truck was too small and they didn't have all the tools they needed. Since they aren't local, they couldn't correct those problems and just had to deal with it. The staff were all very nice and professional. But I had to contact other family members to come over with trailers, load them up & take loads to my new home.

+ -1 moreI found Duker's Moving on Craigslist and then checked to see if they had a listing here. My husband and I were looking for a last minute moving service to assist in a local move to our new home. I called Johnny (who is the owner) and he was able to schedule me for the very next day. His service included two men, a 24' truck and dollies and blankets. The base price was $285 for three hours with $80/hour over that. The truck alone would have cost us anywhere from $30-70 to rent for the day. There was no additional mileage fee or gas fee for homes within a 50 mile radius. I can honestly tell you that I struck gold when I called Johnny. He and Angelo arrived on time, with a HUGE truck and after we looked around the house to get the lay of the land, they got right to work. We had already moved about 1/2 of our household items and were still in fact packing things as they arrived, and they worked so fast it was unbelievable! Johnny and Angelo were safe and careful with everything not to mention friendly. My husband had to leave for work while we were in the middle of our move and I felt completely safe on my own (you take your chances with strangers in a new town but these guys were FANTASTIC). The job started at about 4:30 and in about two hours they had everything packed and ready to go. They had no problem getting the 26' truck backed safely into our new (TINY) driveway and then immediately started unpacking! And did I mention.... the first 2 hours or so (when they were moving stuff out of our original home) it was POURING rain! I felt awful but they never complained and were still lightning fast, despite the horrible weather! I would hire them again in a HEARTBEAT, they were fantastic. I felt VERY lucky that they had an opening as they were the best possible team to move my husband and me. The total for 4:30- approximately 9 p.m. came to about $400 (that included labor/ huge 24' truck etc!)They also have an option for a team of 3 for $375/3 hours and then the same charge of $80 for an additional hour. They were based in Fredericksburg and if you are in the Fredericksburg/King George/Spotsylvania/Stafford/Quantico or surrounding areas you NEED to call them when you need moving services!! They are the best guys in town!!!!!! (Coincidentally Johnny is also a personal trainer and if you're looking for a guy with a great personality and lots of experience I'd give him a call @ this same number!) Contact them at 540-760-8066, you will not be disappointed!
