They missed two scheduled appointments. I had a water leak and was anxious to get it repaired quickly. They scheduled two late afternoon appointments and were not able to make it before dark. They could have done a better job of keeping me informed about the time issue. They scheduled the third appointment early on a Saturday morning and made it. I am happy with the work they did and the employees were very courteous. I would have rated them as a 5 but for the scheduling problem. I will definitely use them again.

Very professional and knowledgeable, when finished task did excellent clean up. Best of all, no more birds in the vent and the damper works.

They showed up to sweep my chimney, told me I needed repairs to my chase cover, took a $200 deposit then didn't show up the following Saturday to complete the work. They never called, never returned my call after I left a voicemail when they were already late, and when I emailed,i got a response that said "indeed we did have you scheduled. We'll call soon to reschedule service. We apologize for the inconvenience". No explanation, no phone call, nothing. Now it's supposed to be bad weather for the next few days so the work can't be completed, so who knows when or if this will actually get done. I'll spend some time looking for other service providers. Totally unprofessional.

They arrived about 1 hour late. A phone call notification of approximate time would have been good. I had an errand I could have accomplished.

Derrick was able to come out same day to help me with my dryer vent needed. He took pictures and showed me where is issue was and what he needed to do to fix it. The quote I received on the phone was spot on to the amount I ended up paying and I love that! Derrick worked quickly and efficiently, I would definitely recommend him to my neighbors. The dynamic duo who arrived were professional (it was obvious that they were experienced); very thorough in their performance of the task; and patience and courteous (they answered all of my concerns in a pleasant manner). Nobody showed up on the day of the appointment, though I did get a text saying they were running behind - unfortunately nobody called. The next day I called and they were quick to reschedule that same day and offered a good discount for the inconvenience. The work done was great.

These two gentlemen from American Chimney Sweeps not only diagnosed and repaired what we hired them for, but also pointed out other issues we would not have known about and were pro active to correct them without adding to the bill. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, these are the kind of guys everyone WANTS to run across and hire. We feel lucky to have found them through HomeAdvisor and will continue to go back to them for help in the future.

Customer service is NOT reachable and scheduling is horrible, cancelled at last minute and each time with different story, the work was mediocre and amateurish. No power wash as promise they just used my hose from the back yard, they supposed to seal the sides of chimney connecting to the house, and all they did is stuck a white caulking without pushing through or flatting it. I had to catch him before he left since they ignored one side and missed a few feet in the middle of the other. Hmm makes you think about the rest of work done on the top of the chimney, very disappointing.
