We had a great experience through the process. Eric came out for the estimate within a couple of days from our first contact. He was on time and did a thorough job of discussing his products, services, price, and timelines. The install went very smoothly despite a little rain. We couldn't be happier with their work. I'm extremely impressed with the follow-on service. A few months later we thought we needed some other windows replaced because they wouldn't stay up. Eric came out again and inspected the windows. Instead of convinving us to get them replaced, he told us all we needed to do was order some parts online. He walked us through the "how to" and even gave us the link to the website (not his) to order the parts. In addition, he kept in touch in case we had anymore questions. Saved us easily $1100 in unnecessary replacements. Eric and Windows on Washington will continue to get my business, that's for sure

The person who came to give us an estimate was very helpful. I didn't feel like I was getting a sales pitch. I was thinking of replacing the windows on the back of our house both upper and lower level. The ones on the lower level needed replacement. He took a look at the upstairs windows and said they were in OK shape still. I was hoping to get the windows installed before the end of 2010 to take advantage of the tax credit. But there were some delays in manufacturing that pushed it out into the following year. Once the windows arrived, installation was fast. Overall I was very pleased with the work. Although some of the stickers that were removed from the sliding glass door left residue which wasn't removed by the installers. Also, I wish the caulking job was a little cleaner in one spot. But the windows themselves seem solid and we don't have the cold drafts that we used to. I would be very confident calling Windows on Washington in the future if I need windows replaced. Update: Eric from WoW followed up with me regarding the couple of minor issues I noted above. I should point out that they did call me a few times following installation to ask if everything was OK. But with young kids and work I just got busy and didn't respond. Eric offered to come out and take care of those concerns. I have yet to get back to him but I definitely appreciate the concern and the stellar service. Thanks!

I first made contact with Eric in the summer of 2010. I happened to see their website and had been checking out various online discussion boards. Eric is a frequent contributer to them and seemed to have thoughtful answers to many questions and was held with high regard by the many professionals who also contribute. I made contact with him and we discussed my needs and wants. I originally was going to do a self-install, but my wife wisely talked me out of that. Best decision I made, other than having picked W.O.W. originally. The crew that installed our windows was nothing short of amazing. They removed all the old windows, installed all the new windows, and trimmed them in just over 6 hours. I've been a superintendant in the construction field for over 30 years , and they were one of the most efficient crews I have ever seen. Not only were they diligent, but they were also careful of all our furnishings. They had dropcloths everywhere and cleaned up after themselves. I could not find any debris anywhere, inside or out! I would not hesitate to recommend WOW to anyone. Eric and John answered any and all my questions and concerns, even what they probably thought was minor. I waited to write a report to see how the windows actually decreased our energy consumption. The Okna windows have been great. I can see a reduction of both gas and electric bills in the last 15 months. The windows look as beautiful as the day they were installed. Many thanks to Eric, John and their entire staff.

Working with Windows On Washington was a pleasure. Would highly recommend.
Description of Work: Our experience with this company has been excellent from beginning to end. We had 5 companies out to give us estimates on replacing 31 wood windows. Windows on Washington's price was not the cheapest, but is was over $30,000 less than the highest. They were not high pressure sales in any way...their presentation was quick and to the point, with no stupid sales gimmicks and NO pressure. The price we were quoted was fair and we were not called back or harassed with lower estimates or the offer of "cheaper" windows (every other company did this). The work was done when promised. The installers were prompt, professional and did excellent work. The installers took the time to protect my floors and walls and quickly cleaned up any mess they made. Quite honestly, I think my floors were cleaner when they left then when the job began. We had wood rot around several windows and that was fixed as well. In two rooms they converted two windows that were very close to each other into one big window and it really looks wonderful! We are extremely happy with the final product and would recommend this company to anyone wanting to replace windows. Our next project is replacing our sliding and French doors, and this company is who we will choose. This is a family run business and you can really tell they care about the services they offer and their customers satisfaction.

We decided in August/September to go ahead and replace half our old wood windows with energy efficient windows to take advantage of the expiring tax credit. We contacted a number of companies for estimates and product demos and we settled on the Marvin Infinity fiberglass replacement window due to color choices and the overall quality of the window. We understood that these windows would double the cost, but we liked those windows the best. We worked with WoW and one other Infinity dealer and WoW was more expensive on the cost of the window, but their installation costs were lower and overall, they were cheaper. Ultimately, we hired WoW to install 19 fiberglass replacement windows in our house. They removed the original wood windows, storm windows, and wrapped the wood frames around the replacement windows. The installation was particularly tricky as it was one of the coldest periods this area had seen in years. Despite difficult weather, the installation crew did a remarkable job and we have no complaints with the install. The overall cost of the job was high, but not in comparison to similar products at other companies and the high cost was more a product of the windows we chose rather than anything in WoW's control. The high cost was also a product of the job including 4 rather large picture windows (5'x6') which had to be tempered glass. My only complaint is that WoW was not very responsive to requests for updates as to when the windows would be delivered and installed. We ordered the windows in the 1st week of October 2010 and they did not get installed until the end of January 2011. The windows took 8 weeks to be delivered to the shop because that's how long Marvin windows take. In December and January, this area experienced extremely cold weather and that slowed down all the installation work. Neither of these delays was within WoW's control. However, we sent numerous emails to our sales rep and the scheduler at WoW and we never received a specific answer as to a projected installation date. We received general responses to the effect that they were behind and the weather was the main reason for the delay, which was understandable, but we had no idea when they might get installed and time was running out for the tax credit. We finally stopped by the office to get a more specific answer and it was only then that we were actually put on the schedule for installation. We received a specific installation date and that was the date the windows were installed...no more delays...and man was it cold that day! We've had the windows installed for about a year now and we have no complaints about the windows or the quality of the installation job. In fact, we are hiring WoW this month to replace the remaining 13 windows with more Marvin Infinity fiberglass windows.
Description of Work: We hired Windows on Washington (WoW) to replace 19 wood windows with fiberglass replacement windows from Marvin (Infinity). WoW provided the replacement windows, removed and hauled away the old wood windows and storm windows, repaired some damaged sills, wrapped all exposed wood, sealed all windows, and hauled all debris away. The entire job took 1 day to complete.

It was a subpart experience. They were really something. They were prompt, professional, and efficient. The communication was excellent, both by telephone and email. They were very responsive with any of our questions. The employee who performed the estimate was efficient and cordial. They provided a thorough detailed document explaining of every aspect of the service, titled "Installation guidelines and check list". This document is provided to make you aware of the service throughout the entire process which makes a big difference. They really focus on satisfying the customer. They gave us what seems to be a great product. It looks very nice. They also explained what to do with rotting areas. The crew was incredible. They performed the work in half a day. They came when they said they would and completed the job. They made sure to lay a tarp throughout our home to protect our flooring. It was a tricky project and they made sure to match the new windows with the existing ones. The price was almost half compared to another estimate received.

I was very pleased with my contact with and work performed by Windows on Washington. From sales to scheduling to accounting, all of the individuals I spoke with were knowledgeable and responsive. The actual installation team was punctual, efficient, and polite. They did a great job removing my terrible old windows and then installing the new ones with minimal disruption. I love the way the new windows look from both the interior and exterior, and I can already tell that they're about a zillion times more energy-efficient than my old ones. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend WoW to family and friends, and I'm already thinking about having them replace my front door or do an energy audit.

Once they finally arrived, everything went very well and the end product is great. We might not order Marvin windows again because of the difficulties in delivery but I would choose Windows On Washington.
Description of Work: we were replacing seven windows and wanted them to match the other windows on the house. therefore we ordered Marvin wooden windows..they were ordered in August but due to changes in Marvn's ordering procedures, they didn't arrive until November. This was frustrating. While everyone at Windows On Washington was polite and courteous we began to wonder if we would ever get the windows--and we had paid half the price so were really concerned. However they finally arrived. The installation was completed in one day with minimum desruption. We replaced two garage windows, a large kitchen window, a large dining room window and a bay window consisting of one large and two small windows. they completely realigned the bay window . They worked competently and cleaned up well. Their supervisor came and checked their work. the windows look wonderful, as if they had always been there. Additionally, the company called later to see if everything was satisfactory

I had a number of old aluminum windows in need of small fixes - and hard to find parts. Eric came to my house - took a look at all of them - and explained that if I was interested I could do the repairs myself. He showed me what I would need to do and then emailed me the websites for the obscure window parts I needed. I ordered them - and so far, I've fixed a couple of the windows with no problem. This was far and away the best experienced I had with a contractor. I had done a little research online and had heard good things about WoW, as well as many bad things about the high-pressure sales tactics of their competitors (which I wanted no part of). These guys met, and actually exceeded, my expectations. Although the guy who worked with me was new to the company, he was still well trained, friendly, responsive, and very courteous. If there were things he didn't know offhand he made sure to call and follow up promptly. He also explained how the owner is fanatical about the quality of the windows, materials, and workmanship, to the point where he has tested dozens of types of caulk to select the best one, which he uses exclusively. The initial meeting was very relaxed with no sales pressure whatsoever. He just explained what could be done and wrote me up a quote, which was very reasonable. He actually advised me not to replace some of the windows, which were not factory originals. He inspected them and said they seemed in good condition, and it's probably best not to replace them if you don't need to. Refreshing honesty. He sells a fairly limited variety of windows (I bought Okna 500 I think), which he considers far and away the best value for the money. The best part is, he proves this fact with actual data. His sales guys will proudly give the statistics on their windows and compare them against any others in the marketplace. He'll tell you which other ones perform similarly and let you see what price you can get for them in the marketplace, until you convince yourself that you are getting the best value. Note that these are not the cheapest windows you can buy, but every option he gives will outperform anything else in its price range. (And the price was very much in line with what I had expected to pay based on my prior research.) There was one time where I emailed the owner a question and I got back PAGES of information in response, with details, analysis, specifications, links to manufacturer web sites, etc. I was very impressed. Clearly this is a guy who knows windows and has a passion for quality. I was told later that the owner started out in the energy audit business so he understands the importance of quality windows and quality installation to energy efficiency. The installers were equally fanatical. The install was done in a day, cleanup was great, and every window passed a detailed visual inspection with no problems. In fact, the foreman called me in and asked me to look at each window before he left to make sure I was happy. Not a caulk mark was out of place. I even had one installer who noticed that there was a flow of water on the garage roof that was not going into the gutter, and he showed me how he rigged up a little thing to direct the water away from the walls and into the gutter. (He wasn't there to look at the roof, he just noticed this while working on the adjacent windows.) They followed up later to make sure I was happy. Bottom line, this is the way I would try to run a company if I were in the window business. Honest, reliable, no hard-sell tactics, no "today-only sale" gimmicks, just good quality products sold at a fair price with information and friendly service. By the way, watch out for the way Angie's list summarizes the ratings that people give. It shows plenty of "A" rated companies, including several well known ones that have only 60% or 70% actual "A" ratings (some with 10-20% F and D ratings!). In contrast, WoW is currently is showing 95% "A" and 5% "B". I joined Angie's List more than a year after using this company, so it's not just me saying how good they are.

After reading other comments about Windows on Washington, our initial reaction was that this company was too good to be true. We were right - they were better! We went out to their showroom and talked to Eric who gave us a 45 minute seminar on windows and efficiency. Brandon came out and took measurements and presented us a contract 2 days later. There was absolutely no hard-sell on the part of either Eric or Brandon. After signing the contract, we were told the chronological order of events. Joe (the installer) came out on a Sunday afternoon to take final measurements. After the windows came in, an installation date was set. Joe and his crew completed the job in a day. The whole process went extremely smoothly due to the professionalism of Eric, Joe and everyone else associated with this company. When Joe left he said, 'if you have any problems, just give us a call. But we most likely won't hear from you'. This was not bravado but knowledge that they are dealing with an excellent product (we purchased Okna 500 deluxe windows) and the professionalism/experience of those who work for the company.

Overall it went well. We need more people like Eric and companies like WoW who recommend the best solution (vs. the most expensive) to their customers.

He was very honest, and had a strong sense of integrity. He provided the alternatives and recommended the best one. Eric continues to follow up with my window service and recommends other fixes as well. Additionally, Eric recommended other energy efficiency changes that could be made to improve our power bill. I have forwarded Eric's information onto my co-worker and would recommend him and WoW to anyone who is seeking the services they offer. Windows on Washington really did "WoW" me!

The process from start to finish was very smooth and efficient. Eric N. is very knowledgeable and helpful. We originally contacted Windows on Washington for window replacement and air sealing, but they recommended doing the air sealing and insulation first. We are very glad we did. The entire job was approximately two and a half days. The insulation and air sealing took a full day. The crew was punctual, polite, and exceptionally clean. In doing the spray foaming, they found a small roof leak that they repaired for a small additional charge. The installed a large suntunnel in our master bathroom to bring in additional natural light. They re-insulated our gas fireplace extension, including removing and replacing all siding. They repaired/replaced a few roof shingles they found to be damaged. They repaired shoddy work done by other contractors around an attic fan. I highly recommend Windows on Washington for any job you need. We plan to use them for an egress window, window replacement, roofing, and carpentry work throughout the remainder of this year.

Detailed Estimate: Windows On Washington's estimate was very detailed and professional. It was not scribbled on a form with just one dollar amount bundling everything together. WoW?s estimate clearly listed the price break up for the items and the breakdown of labor such as installation cost, capping (trim) etc. Flexible Scheduling: For the estimate they were willing to come late in the evening (around 7:30 PM) which was very convenient for us. In fact the president of the company Mr. Eric Novotny himself came for doing the estimate. He explained the process clearly and there was no selling pressure of any kind. For the installation also they were willing to do it on a Saturday ? which clearly shows they are a customer focused company. Communication: Throughout the project the communication was excellent. Eric was always prompt in responding to emails during the estimate and scheduling phases. For scheduling the actual work Dawn contacted me over phone. She was willing to schedule the work around my convenience. After everything was completed, Tara emailed the final paid invoice. The Crew: I was greatly impressed with the installation crew. They were professional and courteous. Whenever I had a question or concern, they took their time to answer my question. The four men crew worked like a well-oiled machine. Each crew member knew what their tasks were and they worked nonstop to finish the work in a few hours. Cleanup after work: The cleanup after the work was one of the most impressive cleanup jobs I have seen from a construction crew. They put protective clothing throughout the walkways to protect the carpet from any dirt. After the work, my lawn was cleaned by removing the smallest of the debris. The interior of the house was vacuumed thoroughly to remove any dust or dirt. Follow up: During the work, Mr. Robert Novotny (the owner of the company) himself came to our house to make sure the installation is going well. This was very impressive and shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. His brief visit definitely helped to send the right message to the customers and to their employees. After the work, Dawn contacted me again to make sure I was happy with the work, followed by an email from Eric. End result: The end result was very impressive. They took their time to make sure each windows was installed perfectly by checking the level and fit multiple times. The caulking was very meticulous. After the work was completed there was no finishing or painting tasks left to be completed by someone else. Windows on Washington has been the most impressive, reliable, affordable, and customer focused company I had the pleasure to work with in the recent times.
Description of Work: We replaced eight wooden windows with Marvin Fiber glass windows and replaced a aluminum sliding door with Marvin Infinity Fiber glass sliding Patio door. We got quotes from three companies. The first one we didn’t consider at all due to their poor response. Among the two remaining companies, Windows On Washington’s price and response stood out significantly better than the other competition.

Without question, Windows on Washington has been the most impressive, reliable, affordable, and customer-service oriented company we have worked with during the many home renovation projects we have had during the last several years. The owners, staff, and installation crew worked seamlessly to make sure we were happy from the first moment we entered their showroom to even weeks after the work was done when one owner Eric reminded us via email about Virginia's energy tax credit--while at the same time proactively sending me the forms to fill it out with their portions/information already completed (this amounted to a $500 credit when it was all said and done). We could not have been more happy with Brandon, our salesperson, who provided us with detailed cost estimates which were easy to read and comprehend (and that he modified several times to meet our changing preferences) and who worked with us on some minor questions/issues post installation, none of which, were Windows on Washington's fault. We were also thoroughly impressed with the installation crew who were just about the most hardworking and thorough installers we had ever seen--their work is beyond excellent. Lastly, we like their product--the Okna windows series. We think Okna makes one of the best windows on the market--both in look, feel, ascetics, and their technical data cannot be matched.
Description of Work: We had a mix of Okna 800 series, 500 series, and Softlite replacement windows installed in 21 bays in our home that replaced the original 40 year old single pane wooden windows. Joe and his installation crew removed our existing storm windows/screens, asked us for customer input when we had choices/minor challenges to overcome and kept us informed throughout the process, and for a very reasonable price also repaired sagging and damaged sills in the house--taking the time to level each to a near-new look. Debris was removed. Other members of Windows on Washington's team Brandon and Eric, also helped us resolve a couple questions we had post installation, gave advice on how to overcome a small carpentry issue (related to windows but not certainly not a service provided by Windows on Washington), and overall we very helpful. By way of background, we got quotes from about 5 different companies, attended the local home shows to learn more about products, and really tried to do our homework before making this large purchase. Several other companies in the end could not 1) be on time for an appointment to draw up an estimate, 2) were simply trying to sell us whatever product they had leftover in stock from late-2010, 3) would not provide us with the technical data of the windows we were purchasing (one leading competitor told us to go to the manufacturer's website for that data while we were standing in their showroom), 4) in the end could not even provide an estimate with the correct number of replacement windows. Windows on Washington did everything perfectly the first time.

Just requested an estimate. I was impressed with their product, the salesman's knowledge, the company reputation and their overall approach to window replacements. I would have selected them had I decided to go forward with a full window replacement project.
Description of Work: Requested an estimate which I recieved. Had planned on using them but ended up deciding not to replace all my windows but only a couple. They were too busy to provide me with an estimate for just the two so I purchased them on my own and installed on my own with help from a friend.

Member, Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly pass along your positive remarks to the salesperson with whom you worked. As you know, the end of the Tax Credit year was tumultuous and we were physically unable to service all of the customers because of the time and weather constraints. Please know that we would be happy to assist you with this project or any other future home improvement projects. WoW Team

They haven't put the windows in as yet. We have just done all the preliminary measurements and exchanging money and all the other stuffs. The job hasn't been done yet but we have been working with them for a couple of weeks now. They came about a month ago to give me an estimate. They seemed to be the most honest and have the most integrity when compared to other companies that we have had out here. They were extremely detailed. They took measurements on all the windows and they got back to me within 24hours with the estimate.
Description of Work: Windows on Washington are going to replace 31 windows in our house. They came out and gave me an estimate.

We are now just going to the contract stage. But so far Eric has been totally professional and in fact had contacted me in the beginning to explain a bit to me about the process and what to look for win other contractors. This was immeasurable in terms of me understanding a STANDING SEAM ROOF and what it takes to do one correctly. He called when I was debating who to go with and although at that point he was not in the mix, he told me some more information and he finally came to the house and did a complete walk though of the job. I have decided at this point to go forward with this company and although they were not the lowest nor the highest in my view they stood above the rest with their presentation and overall positive presentation of the work that will be needed to be done. I will update this as the project moves forward. One final thought. This without a doubt is the largest and costiest project I have ever had done on any of the homes that I have owned. We are not in that class of folks with money to spend on these types of projects and Eric recognized this and has worked with me the best that he could and in fact more than I asked him too. As of today July 30th we are in a waiting stage. Eric and I have been in weekly contact and they are waiting for all the material to come in, the windows are in and Eric tells me they are waiting for the Shutters and Metal frame for the windows. Since this company is app. 60 miles from here they want to start and finish the job at the same time, which is a great idea and won't draw out this project anymore than it has to be. So I will update this as time progresses, but I feel confident that within 1 to 2 weeks they should begin. Today is August 30, 2011 and the Roof has been completed by 99% completed.. We have to wait on Potomac Edison to cut the power so the last piece can be placed there. This is a 10 day wait(busines days). This Saturday, the siding crew is suppose to be here and the crews are to have that part completed by the EOB on Saturday. This includes the Shutters, Siding, Gutters and Dowspouts. The Windows are IN and look great. A fine job here, too. I will update this upon the finish of this project!!! UPDATE 9/7/2011 I will finish this once the job is 100% completed. We are wating on Potomac Edison to cut the power and I talked with them today and due to the storms in this area and other area's they are behind in their response times, this is not unexpected as we have had almost 4 inches of rain here with high wind at times. P.E. is suppose to contact me as soon as tomorrow and then a final date will be addressed. This is the safest way to finish this job as I do not want anyone hurt putting what amounts to the very last section if this job. So more will follow shortly I assure you. Final Update 9/27/2011 The projects have ALL been completed and the final sheet is on the roof...P.E. even changed out the service to a new one which can only help the billing as the old service was torn and had the inside exposed. Windows on Washington are to be commended on a job well done...And hitting the esitmate basically on the nose!!!! Although there was allot of extra thing done and completed, the final price shown just a fraction of that, to which I say Thank you. I have never worked with anyone at anytime that worked with me on the project or on the final installment. I have over 400 photo's of the job from beginning to end and I am grateful to have as I can show anyone wanting to see a job well done just need ask! I will not hesitate to hire Eric and his company again if I am ever in need of a new roof, but with the METAL SEAM ROOF and new windows I don't think that will occur anytime soon!!!! I will recommened them to anyone at anytime for any job they may have, they stick to the estimate, go over the changes before they do it and most importantly they show up on time for the job, you just can't wish for anything more than that!!!!! Also, thanks to the office staff, Tara and the others for keeping the lines of communication open thoughout the job. They too are to be commeneded on a job well done!!!! That's about it for this project that began in late May and ends in late September!!!!!! THANKS......................
Description of Work: As of today 7/1/2011 I have received the final estimate from Eric for this project. We are hoping to start within 4/6 week time fram. Once the work is completed I will update this with more information and photo's to go with it. This is an update as of July 30th. We are in the waiting stage to begin this project, which now has expanded to include 5 Windows being replaced, the siding that is about the brick is to be replaced with Vinyl and of course the Metal Roof and downspouts and gutters. Also on the Windows the Shutters for the front of the house. I have been in contact with Eric on a regular basis, the windows are in and they are waiting for the Shutters and metal frames for the windows. Although we are now at 4 weeks past the first get together I feel good about the process as this company is about 60 miles or so from my house and they want to do all this at the same time which I think is a fine idea. So as far as this update goes we are in a holding pattern waiting for all the materials to come in and then Eric will email me dates, etc for the actual start of the project. Eric asked if they could tape the process for their use and I have no problem with that as I plan to photograph the project from start to finish. Future updates will follow........ Having started the ROOF project last week, August 22nd, the crew was here on time and proceeded to take the roof off, tunns out there were 2 roofs there, and 3 roofs of nails, too. The original roof was still there, over 50 years old the 2nd roof had been removed and a 3rd asphalt roof attached, there were 3 roofs of nails to remove and this took them the better part of 2 days!!! A huge job to say the least. After that the group proceeded to repair the places wher the wood had rotted. Again I was surprised as it was not plywood but 2x6 boards for the roof. Amazing to say the least. They repaired about 4 or 5 places and then laid out the underlayment and proceeded over the next 3 days to cut and mold the metal and attach it to the roof. I was highly impressed with there work ethic. On Thursday morning around 6:45am we we a wakened by a huge thunderstorm that suddenly appeared in the area. The roof was totally exposed at this point and we were worried that a heavy rain could and would do allot of damage. Well within 15 minutes I looked and and the van with the crew jumped out and went to work covering the roof with tarps. The succeeded and just as they were finishing the sky opened up and it rain hard and it rained for about 3 hours or so. Around noon or so Eric was here along with Carlos and I showed them the weather map. Carlos said that he would go get the crew and they'd work the rest of the day. This he did and they worked past dark that night and the next to get the roof covered before Hurricane IRENE paid a visit. They had it all done, roof covered. We recieved about 7/10th of an inch of rain from the Hurricane and we had some hight wind gusts but no damage. At this point the Siding needs to be completed, the gutters and downspouts need to be done as the Shutters. One final piece of the ROOF remains but is dependent on Potomac Edison to cut the power to my house so they can attach the final piece to that end of the roof. I will update this when all is completed AN UPDATE: As of today Sept. 7, 2011 Eric and his crew of many were here this past Saturday and completed all the Siding, gutter, downspouts and shutters. All that is needed to complete this job at 100% is for Potomac Edison fo come and cut the power to my house so Carlos and Eric can install the FINAL metal roof section. Also complete the Chimney as was stated and that should wrap this gig up. As of today I feel that my selection of WINDOWS on WASHINGTON was an excellent choice and they have proved me totally correct. We have had a number of issues that were met and overcome without a moment loss of work. Eric and his crew of many are to commended on a job well done. Being that this is not completely finished I will reserve my final thoughts and score till then. But as of now on a scale of 10....They rate a high 8 with more room to improve for sure!!! Final Update: All has now been completed and I must say that it is a rare day that I would give any contractor straight A's, but Windows on Washington has broken the mold for this. Eric and his crew completed all the work we had agreed on and then some. The final part was having Potomac Edison shut the power off so the last Metal Sheet of Roofing could be installed, this was done and the next day P.E. returned to install a now single line to my house. If I'd known that the 2 balls for the electric could have been remove and the siding put over that area, but it still looks great!!!! So all is now completed and the final report is here, On a scale of 10, Windows on Washinton get a 10+ from me. The work and services that were completed were great and the number of other items that Eric put in worked great, too. So there isn't much more to say here other than I will recommend this company to anyone looking for a good reliable contractor to redo their ROOF, WINDOWS and Siding.....So to Eric and his crew, Carlos and the whole crew, you are to be commended on a job well done......And remember the Eastern Panhandle is Wide open!!!!1 LOL!!!!

I used Angie's list to verify the credentials of this firm after and initial contact at a Spring Home show. When one of the salesman came to the house to provide an estimate, I was pleased to see that the presentation was very focused and short but appropriately informative. The day of the install was a concern as rain was just ending but I received repeated phone calls indicating that they planned to arrive late as the weather was improving and that it should only take about 4 hours. I was most impressed with the professionalism of the 3 installers. Each new his task and the teamwork displayed was commendable. Of particular note was how clean they maintained the work site during the install, taking care to place drop cloths on all paths from the front door entry to the windows. They also quickly removed debris before it could accumulate. I will definitely use them again for some more of my windows.
Description of Work: 10 Windows were removed and replaced with energy credit qualifying OKNA Windows with a lifetime warranty. All gaps were first sealed with foam and then custom colored aluminum trim was applied to the wooden frame followed by sealing with caulk. Caulk was also applied to the inside edge of each new window. Price included disposal of old windows.
