Description of Work: I purchased service contracts for two units and the price seemed very expensive. I had to call and schedule my service; they did not call me. I had them clean one unit and replace a part on the other; these services seemed very expensive and I did not see the real advantage to the service contract. I am up for renewal, but I am not sure it is worth it? Each time they visit they try to sell me new units. I am aware the units are tired and I am watching them closely. I feel like they just want to sell me new heating and air conditioning units. I have a home warranty and I am not sure if I would be better off just setting up service as needed. Vernon just seems pricey and their attention to my needs could be better.

Description of Work: I had my annual fall maintenance done! The technician was very thorough with his inspection and took apart certain parts of the furnace and thoroughly cleaned them! Great experience!

Description of Work: Vernon replaced 2 Carrier gas furnaces and one air conditioner and coil. Also replaced the hot water heater. They do excellent work, are courteous and neat.

 + -1 morethe A/C was non-operational and the previous contractor had not fixed the problem after two house call. Vernon did a very thorough inspection of the system inside and out. The serviceman was very good. Freon leaks were found in the evaporator coil associated with the furnace. Their quote to fix it was $3627 which I thought outrageous. I asked them to go ahead and put freon back in the system and get it operational while I seek other quotes. They were reluctant to do so but relented and than charged me about $90/lb when the average rate is $53-58/lb. I since found another company that gave me a quote for repair at half the cost. I called Vernon the next day to complain about the excessive cost and their response was that is their price structure--period.
Description of Work: Inspected for leaks and put in R-22 freon.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE ON TIME AND VERY REASONABLE. THEY WERE THOROUGH WHEN INSPECTING OUR OLD WATER HEATER AND DID NOT TRY TO PUSH US TO BUY A NEW ONE. THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW WATER HEATER WENT VERY WELL. WE HAVE ALSO USED THEM TO PROVIDE A SERVICE CONTRACT ON AN APARTMENT WE OWNED AND THEY WERE VERY GOOD AND REASONABLE.
