I wouldn’t use anyone else for this kind of service. The amount of work and planning to take the tree down was significant and the did a great job. Highly recommended.

We hired The Care of Trees to do two things: 1) treat infested Tulip Poplar trees in the back yard and 2) shore up an aging Redbud tree in the front yard by installing cabling. I was supposed to be contacted by two people - one for the Poplars and another for the Redbud - to schedule the work. The results were good and bad. First, the good: I was contacted by the technician for the more expensive work in the back yard. He arrived on time and worked very efficiently. We have several tall Tulip Poplars in our back yard that were infested with scale and other pests. That infestation caused a sticky substance that was dripping so badly on our deck that it was unusable. The Care of Trees treated the tree trunks and within two weeks the problem was completely gone. Second, the bad: Even though our proposal from The Care of Trees included them addressing an aging Redbud in the front yard (much less expensive work than the work on the Tulip Poplars in the back yard), they blew off the lower-cost work. After I paid the larger bill for the back yard work, we never heard back from them to complete the work they said they would do in the front yard. It's a shame. They did such great work in the back we were looking forward to them completing the work in the front. I graded them a "C" only because they never completed the work. Otherwise, I would have graded them much higher.

I called The Care of Trees, a business which I had hired in the past to care for trees at my previous home. I requested a consultation to discuss a tree at my new home that seemed to be a bit too close to the house, and I wanted advice about whether it should be removed. Andy Roth, a certified arborist, arrived on time for the consultation. He provided expert advice about how long the tree could remain in its current location near our patio and how to care for it. He also answered all of our questions about possible trees we were considering planting on a slope right off the patio. The consultation was free. My impression of Andy Roth was that he was very professional, knowledgeable, considerate of our time, and addressed our every concern. In the past, I had dealt with Jeff Walton and was equally impressed. The services provided in the past included tree trimming and periodic spray treatment to prevent a fungal disease. I will definitely use The Care of Trees in the future.

The estimate was so shockingly high that I didn't proceed. I was really surprised, especially after talking with him. I didn't follow up with them. He was very polite. Andrew Ross, a certified arborist, is the one who came out. It wasn't to remove any trees, it was just for shaping. My first impression of the company was that they were very professional, responsive and responsible.

I have a large wooded lot that needed substantial service - some trees taken down and others trimmed. I met with four tree services and chose Care of Trees. They were not the least expensive. Another service quoted $1,000 less, in fact. I chose Care of Trees for several reasons: they were responsive in scheduling the initial consultation. They have certified arborists. My arborist, Steve, was knowledgeable and took his time. I was provided with a detailed quote (printed out) on the spot. Steve followed up about a week later, and he worked with me a bit on the price as well. The service itself was excellent. Dave, Kevin, and Wayne were professional, clearly safety-minded, and cleared all the debris. And as if that wasn't enough, as they took down a tree, they found a nest of woodpecker eggs in a hollow log. They carefully relocated it and tied the log/nest to a nearby tree in the hopes that the mama might return! Outstanding from start to finish.

I vetted 4 services and chose Care of Trees for a few reasons: they promptly scheduled my initial appointment. They sent a certified arborist (Steve) who was knowledgeable and took his time. He provided a written, detailed estimate on the spot. They were not the cheapest service, though Steve did work with me a bit on the price. Day-of was terrific. The three-man team (Dave, Kevin, Wayne) were personable, careful, thorough, and safety-minded. The clean up of debris was outstanding. Very pleased from start to finish.

Excellent, They arrived on time and were able to get to the job earlier than they had quoted me. The crew was absolutely fantastic, and were very professional. They needed both a climber and the bucket to perform the job, and were happy to do a little extra on some branches. Left my yard and driveway spotless. When they arrived they told me I would not even know they had been there except for the fact that I would have sun on my back patio. They were correct!!

Very well! Jeff Walton is extremely knowledgeable and professional and made it very clear not only what needed to be done but the priority of the work. The large tree has been removed and the team was very professional, safe, timely and we plan to use Care of Trees going forward. Pruning and stump removal is next.

We needed to trim our trees away from the house in preparation for replacing our roof. The arborist was very knowledgeable and personable when he came to review the work we wanted performed. The estimate was detailed and the price was reasonable (in-line with other estimates we had received). We needed to schedule the work relatively soon and they were able to meet our timeframe. On the day of the work, they showed up on-time and were very friendly. We live on a pipestem, the crew made sure our neighbor had enough space to get out of her driveway. One of the trees that was cut down accidently fell in my neighbor's yard in their grass (they had just reseeding a few weeks before). The crew was quick to remove the tree from their yard and told us that they would address issues if they should arise. After the crew removed the tree, there was no evidence the neighbor's grass was effected. The work performed per the estimate and the crew did a wonderful job on removing branches away from our house. The crew cleaned up after themselves and no limbs or leaves in our yard. The crew even cleaned up branches that were not a result of their tree trimming services.

I have an annual contract with them. It's automatic and very easy to schedule them out. They have good quality of work. They could have made it less expensive. They don't really tell you what time of day they're coming.

We haven't used them in a long time but when we did use them, it was good. How long ago we used The Care of Trees was probably 15 years ago. They were the only people I've ever used. I would give them all A's on everything. They did a good job and were very honest.

They were very professional and the price was very reasonable and they did a professional job and when they were done everything was cleaned.

They did an excellent job. Very professional. I was pleased with the way they trimmed my tree, and shaped it, and that they had the equipment to do it, because it is a tall tree and the guy had to get up in his swing out and he could swing around and I was just kind of fascinated by that, and then my tree in the back counts on you can trim it clear down, it has to be done. And another thing that's important to people is that they clean up and of course, you know, they've got the equipment there, they just put it in, grind it up, and their gone. I thought they did a good job trimming, very professional, and cleaned up.

It worked out really well. We used them for several years. I worked with them for several years and they always did a good job. They check in with you before they start to work to make sure you're in agreement with what they're proposing to do because sometimes what's on paper is kind of different than the reality. They're very good about cleaning up. It was a good experience. Today, I actually have another pruning company out here. I had a great relationship with the rep The Care of Trees. Apparently, she retired and it would have been good for them to reach out and announce that. I didn't hear from anyone and I decided to just try another local company. I might use them again in the future but if I'm very happy with this local company, I'll probably just stick with them. I would give them a try again but my relationship really was with their rep. What they should have done is when that person left, they should have reached out to keep that connection and they didn't. It gave me an opportunity to go check around with somebody else.

It was a pretty big job. There were about five people here all day long. I got the neighbor to come in on this so they did some work for him and we got a combined price. The total price was about $3,800. These guys are the best. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to everybody else.

It was great. I need to call them again, I have some more work. I wouldn't call anybody else; they did a great job.They were recommended by someone and I didn't get any other estimates. I have to give them an A on everything because it was several years ago and I really don't remember exactly. I didn't have any complaints at all.

A stellar job as always! Jeff Walton responded promptly to our request for an estimate and walked around the property with my husband, pointing out issues and suggesting remedies. It being the "busy" season we were told two weeks out was expected but we received a call yesterday (one week later) asking us if we wished to take an appointment spot that had opened up. The crew arrived at the promised time this morning and got right to work. There was major trimming to be done and as my husband noted tonight that when it was done, it was done in such a way so you do not realize just how much of the tree was removed. Misshapen limbs (threatening walkway and driveway), feeder branches, dead branches; all were removed. When we were leaving for the office this morning the two gentlemen working on our "front and center" tree were having an earnest discussion as to just which limbs needed to be cut. They had already removed a number of branches and were "cleaning" up the look of the tree. It was reassuring to know that the tree that is directly in front of our house was receiving the very best of care. Every one of the trees (seven in all) look fantastic. We thought they looked nice before; we were unaware of what a good trimming would do to enhance that look. As for clean up, you would never know they had been here. We were walking through foot deep cutting debris this morning; when we returned home this evening there is not a loose twig on the ground. They were even conscientious enough to take down wind chimes and sun catchers that were on branches being cut and move them to adjacent "safe" branches (something I totally forgot needed to be done!). As our arborist told us, "Your trees are happy trees." Happy trees, even happier homeowners! Do not hesitate for one moment to contact The Care of Trees; they all (front office and field staff) are dedicated professionals who work towards protecting your "green investment."

We didn't have a major problem that they took care of. They're just doing maintenance work for us. It was not spectacular. They did a good job. The man who does it is very accommodating, very nice and very helpful. He answers all my questions. We had a problem with Aphids in a Tulip poplar and they did correct that. They did a wonderful job on that. We have had no problem since. They're expensive.
