I rang on Tuesday and Jerry answered right away. After answering a few questions he was able to give me a quote and told me they could come out as early as the next day. They arrived early and had a super nice crew. Every single one of them introduced themselves to me and shook my hand!!! I hadn't even had time to move everything out of the way so that they could do the move.. but it didn't matter because they either moved it or was able to work around it. 15 minutes later everything was done and the piano was safely moved into its new spot! They even offered to help me move all the furniture back into place. Awesome experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these nice folks to anyone else! Thank you Jerry!!!!

I came to Jerry by recommendation of piano tuner Michael Grossman. Jerry was very easy to communicate, always quick to respond to calls/texts, and very accommodating of my (sometimes . He arrived at the time that he said he would, moved the piano to exactly where we wanted it, double checked to make sure everything was great. I couldn't be happier with his service.

I called around town and everyone I spoke to just seemed uninspiring. My main issue was not damaging the very expensive stairlifts that are only 3 months old. We are unable to remove the lifts, so we needed someone to really know what they were doing before they did it and not just wing it while hoisting 190lbs of washing machine over our $6000 stairlift. Jerry returned my call quickly, scheduled a scouting visit, which I LOVED. He came to check out the situation first. That tells me he's making a plan. This guy is a pro. We made a date, he gave me a solid estimate, and showed up right on time. They got right to work. Jerry and his team of three pulled it off without a single hitch. Moving Surgeons. His main thing is moving pianos that cost more than most peoples houses. I called him because I figured a guy who hoists pianos for a living can handle my little tricky move. Thank you, Jerry!

Excellent job. Jerry and his helper were here on time, and set about moving the piano right away. They were very careful in picking up the piano, putting it on a large dolly, and moving it out of the house and down some stairs to their trailer. My daughter says the move into her home was equally smooth and professional.

Amazing! I had stressed about having to move my piano ever since I bought my new home because it is so old and is falling apart, but it is part of my childhood and has great sentimental value to my family and I. They quickly replied to my request for a quote, worked me in on the day I wanted to move it, showed up exactly on time, and instantly put my nerves at ease with their reassurance that they knew what they were doing. They were very gentle in putting the piano on their moving cart and got out the door, down the stairs, and into their truck by means that looked effortless to me. They then strapped it down so that it wouldn't move in transit and then got it into my new home in a matter of minutes. It is such a relief to have it moved into my home and I will definitely call them in the future if I need to move it again. Thank you so much for helping me!!!

They moved quickly, they were very professional, and they were very friendly. Nothing was damaged. I think that piano moving in general is ridiculously expensive, but I understand it's because of the weight and fragility of pianos.

Arrived on time, wrapped the piano completely ( it was pouring rain) and moved and set it up perfectly. They also recommended a tuner when asked.

The service was built into the restoration price we paid the primary vendor Alex Brusilovskiy who owns West End Piano Restoration so I cannot speak to the cost is you were just getting a piano moved. Jerry and his crew were awesome and had to deal with a very old and heavy grand piano and stairs out of the original location and into the final one. Not a scratch on the piano or the wood floors.

Jerry was very responsive, easy to work with scheduling-wise, and did a great job moving the piano! They actually got the job done early so I wasn't home, but my teenaged son said they were super polite and friendly.

If anyone in the Richmond, VA area has a piano/organ of any size that has you wondering how to move it in or out of the house, I highly recommend contacting Famous Jerry Piano Movers. My son-in-law and friends moved an old upright piano out of his house and into my garage while refinishing floors in preparation for moving. He also moved my smaller piano out of my house and into the garage in order for me to have hardwood floors installed. Having seen the difficulty they had moving piano's down steps and damage to the old flooring, I could not imagine them being able to move it up steps into my house or into the new house he now owns. I checked Angie's list for a piano mover near me and found Famous Jerry Piano Movers from Disputanta, VA. The quoted price was not cheap but was very competitive with other movers I contacted. They showed up exactly on time and made the entire process look easy (although I knew it wasn't!). The piano's were moved without any damage to pianos or floors.

Email communication was fast, detailed, and courteous. They showed up on time at my grandma's house, were very polite to her, and super fast and careful. They were at my house when I expected and the delivery and placement was just as fast, careful, and polite. I gave them a $40 tip which Jerry indicated would be split between his two crew members. They earned it. Piano and bench were delivered in the condition I remember it.

THey did a great job. Very careful with my Baby Grand. Not a scratch made. Jerry was professional and polite. He was very accomodating with me on my time frame.

Phenominal group of guys! They arrived in the 1-hour window provided and carefully inspected the path for the piano. They then laid down mats, boards, ramps, etc. to aid in the process and protect the flooring. They also cleared out rugs, chairs, etc. that were in the way. They were extremely careful with the piano and watched every corner and turn. They wrapped the piano in blankets and security strapped it in their box truck. Then they took the time to replace what they moved (rugs, chairs, etc.) Upon arrival at the destination, more of the same. They brought it into the home, allowed me to measure and find the exact spot, then carefully placed the piano on my protective foot pads. Jerry was great to work with, and his guys were very friendly and respectful. I would absolutely hire them again (although I hope I don't have to - that piano is NOT moving again!) and would recommend anyone to utilize their services. I liked them so much I tipped them $20. And I'm cheap!
