We originally contacted the vendor in August and were told that they would get to the job by the end of September. When we called him back toward the end of September to verify the job he said that they could not do it that early he said two weeks. The next day he called us back and changed the date to three weeks which would have been October 21. The tree service did show up on October 21 however the next door tenant did not move his car despite being asked to do so therefore the tree could not be cut down that day. Danville Tree Service returned the following day and removed the tree which we then discovered was rotten and the hole was five feet into the ground and a foot wide. They did a very professional and safe removal of the tree and we would use them again provided they did a better scheduling job. While there was a lot of bad weather in the Danville area, two months of a tree hanging over the house with lack of commitment of a firm date made us very uneasy. Needless to say we are very happy the rotten tree is gone and Danville Tree Service did an excellent job despite their poor scheduling.

Charles Winstead was very responsive to my call and was able to view the damage and provide a quote within 24 hours of my call. Since I was remote at the time that the tree fell, Charles arranged to send me pictures before removal so that I could appreciate the damage and amount of debris requiring removal. He also sent me pictures after removal so that I could see the quality of the work done. I was able to personally inspect the work done this last weekend and Charles met me on-site. I was very impressed with the quality of the work done and more importantly my neighbor was very happy as well. I have received a quote for removal of the remaining 2/3rds still left.
Description of Work: Removed one-third of a very large tree that had fallen in my back yard and had crossed into neighbor's yard.

2 months after I received a quote I decided it was time to get my tree trimmed back after some nasty storms came through. An appointment was scheduled but never heard from anyone. After a phone call to them I was told they had an employee in the hospital sick and they wouldn't be able to make it that day. I was a little frustrated that I had spent a good part of my day off waiting fro someone to show up and not even a call to notify me that they wouldn't be able to make it. I rescheduled for a day that would accommodate both of us and it was set. The second day they arrived on time, provided all the information I needed, and got right to work. The supervisor said he had to run to another site for a while but would be back. The guys that stayed and did the work did AMAZING!!, I was so very happy with the results. They did it in less time than was quoted, and it looks fantastic. It makes me feel tons better about storms that roll through. They were even nice enough to bill me. I am very happy and would definitely use them again.

This company was excellent. They were quite responsible. It was expensive, but worth it. The lawn was pristine when they finished. He provided their insurance information as well. They came when they said they would. They had a lot of equipment including a bucket truck, stump grinder and other equipment to grind up branches. There were 3 cedar trees around this dead elm and they did not damage them or the lawn at all!!
Description of Work: Removal of a giant dead elm tree without damaging surrounding trees. Stump grinding and hauling away all the debris and wood.
