Repairman arrived when he said he would, even called ahead to let me know he was on the way. Certainly knew his way around the refrigerator and diagnosed it fairly quickly. He said it was one of three things. It wasn't the defrost cycle in the freezer, it was the computer in the refrigerator that needed replacing. He repaired it quickly, cleaned up after himself, put the food back in the freezer and was all done. He answered our questions easily and we would hire him again if needed.

We had previously called GE services and they gave us an appointment 2 1/2 weeks later. When the day came the technician never showed up so I checked Andy's list and found Dave. He was able to come the same day we called. He diagnosed the issue in less than 5 mins and called to check part prices. He told us that we would probably be better off buying a new one. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism. Will definitely use him again.

I have had no problem with either since.

I contacted Piedmont Appliance Repairand left a message stating that my high efficiency washer was not working properly and needed repair. I was finding bits of melted plastic in the clothes when the washer completed the last cycle. I explained that I was able to get an appointment with Sears but that was 12 days away. Mr. Nichols from Piedmont Appliance Repair contacted me within 30 minutes. After explaining the problem, he stated that it would probably be cheaper to purchase a new washer as the repair would be substantial $600-$800 for parts (new drum, drive shaft, bearings, etc.) and labor. I appreciated Mr. Nichols candor as his suggestion was taking business away from him. He did offer to come by and provide an estimate. The story ends with the purchase of a new washer that evening. However, I now have a refrigerator magnet for Piedmont Appliance Repair. It will be my first phone call for the repair of other appliances in the future.

Haven't had the need for major appliance repair in a number of years. Found Piedmont Appliance though Angies List and was not disappointed! Dave promptly returned my phone call, showed up to the rental property when he said he would, was spot on with his estimate, and was able to fix both problems on the spot! My tenant told me that Dave was very professional. Two weeks later our personal dryer stopped working, called Dave again, same experience......he was great! Dave is a pro and my go to guy for all future (hope that its not many) major appliance repairs. Highly recommended. Its great to find a local business in the Culpeper area that is honest, on time, and on budget.

Our ice maker and dispenser stopped working after the big July storm (we hooked it up to a generator and apparently the cord was not large enough to handle the frig - lesson learned!!). Piedmont came out when promised and gave us an estimate. He had to order a new icemaker and told us it would take about a week. He called when it came in and set up a time to install it - once again on time and within the estimate. He also fixed the dispenser. You think you can do without one, but it sure is a pain to not have it when you have become used to it!! We would definitely use him again.

My washer would not work, and I checked Angie's List for appliance repair. I chose Piedmont Appliance Repair, and I am so glad I did! Dave was here exactly when he said he would be. He fixed my washer in about 2.7 seconds (don't ask what was wrong, I am too embarrassed to tell you). We had a good laugh about how silly this service call was--and while we were laughing, he noticed a plumbing oddity in the drain pipes for the washer. He said "I'm no plumber, but would you like me to fix that?" I agreed at once, and he went to his truck and got a hack saw, cut through the PVC pipe, and retightened the odd joint. It works perfectly--no more drips--and it was all part of the service. A nice, nice, man. Warm, personable and professional. Top marks!
